A diamond in the rough. We literally stopped for gas and we getting hangry. I pulled up Yelp and started searching, meanwhile we noticed this place just across the street. So I checked it on my app and we went right over. OMG....it was delicious of course, it is a Chinese Buffet. Started with the salad bar and appetizers. Then straight to the meats, no rice...it just fills you up. Everything was very good and I went back for seconds for a couple of the shrimp dishes. The meat on a stick was AMAZING!! The only thing lacking was the topping for the ice cream.

    Hot and Sour Soup

Omg the sweet and sour chicken was delicious!! Hot and sour soup was spot on perfect for this cool damp day!! The sweet rolls/biscuits was fresh and hot!!! Thank you!!!!

    The frog legs were tasty.

I'm a fan of Chinese food buffets, so I had to check out King Buffet in Middlesboro, KY. Tucked away in a strip mall, the selection here is vast and the food is hot and replenished frequently. What makes King Buffet unique is the build-your-own plate bar, where you can choose whatever you want for meat and veggies and it is sautéed with noodles right in front of you. I enjoyed the fried frog legs, which are only offered at dinner. Come hungry, and check out King Buffet.

Good place to eat a little dated, but it's clean. I always enjoy going here. Little odd they're closed on Monday and Tuesday but worth it.

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park - So that's washed away after the floods...

    Cumberland Falls State Resort Park

Cumberland Park is one of my favorite state parks to visit. We have visited twice and loved it both…read moretimes. The first visit we stayed during covid in December so it was just our group of 4 and one other couple staying in the resort. It was nice because it felt so private. We stayed in the resort rooms and we were surprised with how nice they are. Everything was clean. It was a bit small but we made it work. The second visit we stayed in their cabins and preferred it more. we got 2 bedrooms and each one had 2 beds so all of us slept comfortably. I loved that the cabin comes with a full kitchen and table so we spent our night playing board games. The park itself has so much to do. There are tons of hiking trails, horseback riding and even boat tours that take you up close to the waterfall. You have to go to the Moon bow at least once in your lifetime. It's when the moon hits the water at the right angle and you see a rainbow at night. It is a cool experience but it does get really crowded so you may want to come early. Cumberland Falls gave me unrealistic expectations for state parks because this what I feel like most state parks should be like.

Stopped by here on a whim, and was so pleased! The river was really up, leading to a rather…read moreimpressive flow down the falls. The trail was a bit slick, but really just strolled to hit the different overlooks for different angles of the surging waters. Snagged a sundae from the snack shop and some gifts from the shop. They have some animals and small exhibits in the Visitor's Center as well. Free to stop, loved seeing the falls! Apparently the only place to see a Moonbow near the full moon in the Western Hemisphere, so that's pretty special!
