While in Kentucky my group stopped at Bubby's BBQ for some lunch. Bubby's BBQ has an all you can eat buffet and although I'm not a fan of open buffets the food here was so damn good I thought my grandma was in the kitchen cooking. The place doesn't look like much on the outside or inside, but I can excuse that because it''s clean and they concentrate on the food which is hot, fresh and delicious. A must try dish at Bubby's is the fried fish and the fried green tomatoes. I definitely give them a thumbs up! read more

It used to be so good! We would eat there often. The fried chicken was always fresh and made just like from my grandmother's kitchen. The fried fish was always amazing as was the barbecue but the last two times we went there it had really gone down in flavor and quality. I hope they get it back up to par. Excellent every time! Bubbys is always such a delight to stop and eat whenever we are in the area. The restaurant is always clean, and the food is hot and fresh. Besides their amazing pulled pork, one of our favorites each trip is the fish. Always fried fresh, the fish is light and tasty. Their fried chicken is always cooked perfectly and is flavorful and juicy with just the right amount of crispy breading. The sides are always plentiful! From collard greens to mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, and plenty others! Bubbys also has a salad bar, which is just the right size. The salad and toppings are always fresh and kept well stocked. Located just west of interstate 75 (exit 25), Bubbys should be everyone's lunch or dinner destination. The fish is so good, I'm tempted to drive an hour each direction just to eat there! read more

The good is it's clean. We came on Friday night maybe 10 or 12 families/guests. Not busy at all. The bars were pretty well too care of. The staff very nice and attentive. Food wise, the peach cobbler needed more peaches. I dipped into it looking for peaches to go with the cobbler. I hot two. I hated to look stupid so I stopped dipping through it. I heard another lady say it might have been good if it had more peaches. The banana pudding could have had more bananas. The cornbread needed to be fried longer. The fish looked very appetizing as did the other meats on the bar. The white hominy looked terrible. The used to have yellow which was good. The salad bar could use more selections vegetables. I just didn't feel i got the monies worth. We used to come here a lot. The selection used to be amazing. Not so much now. I realize the cost of food and don't mind paying the money. But when it isn't much it makes me feel like I wasted the money. If it's Friday night and you want frog legs call around 11 in the afternoon. My husband was looking forward to them but their food truck didn't have any. She said call next time. Oh well read more

We completed our week long participating in Corbin's Tourism and Convention Commission Restaurant Week!! We both had the BBQ burger complete with pulled pork and with fries as well, It cooked to perfection! This place is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. The buffet has a fresh salad bar. It has a very cosy atmosphere and is very inviting. Everything was absolutely delicious. We will return on our next time thru. this was a great place to end our week long tour. read more

Hubby and I were just driving around this Sunday and we came across this all u can eat place. Now, I didn't say BBQ because there was none. No BBQ was to be found anywhere, with MAYBE the exception of the pulled pork. We were actually going to Subway to grab an old standby sammich, but we thought " this place is busy, let's try it", sure wish we would have stuck to our original idea. Everything was pretty dry. From the biscuits, to the chicken flats and wings, to the fried chicken. The sauerkraut was over the top sour! Now, I love me some sauerkraut, but this was too pucky sour for me. The mashed taters were not fresh, the fish was over cooked, the corn was def not good, etc. The rolls were good though! Maybe a little flat. And the brownies were pretty good. Too bad they serve Pepsi. Anyhow, not sure what they served before we got there to earn such rewards, but it wasn't the food we got today!!!! Place was clean though. One last note...DO NOT TRY THE CHOCOLATE GRAVY. IT WAS NOTHING BUT COCOA AND UNDISOLVED GRANULATED SUGAR. SO GRITTY WITH SUGAR THAT IT MADE ME GAG! read more

Great buffet right off the interstate in Corbin. Friendly service and a buffet with a lot of options. The fried catfish was my favorite, but the barbecue was also pretty good. Quaint atmosphere. Worth stopping in if you're in the area. read more

We got there around 130 we spent 14.99 per plate. Water drinks. Price at register says 13.99. Pans were were old almost empty. They close at 3. The chicken n dumplings is only chicken broth over biscuit dough. Green beans looked like they needed prepped up. All the staff leaning against the wall near the register. They close at 3 on Sundays. Looked like they were hoping all the food be gone before 3 pm. I learn to look at the bar before you sit down. Pans were dirty. Looked like breakfast was out at 2pm from the breakfast bar at opening. Some pans like slaw looked like left overs. I take it Sunday is more over priced for left over foods. Looks like they served leftovers for premium price. read more

I'm not sure how they're getting 4-5 star reviews. We've gave this place a few tries and every time always ends up the same way.. disappointed. It's bland, dry and just not good. And there's no such thing as BBQ when we go here, there's nothing BBQ wise any time we go except a couple burnt strands / ends of pork that's not edible for anyone. My wife and I travel by car from Ohio to Daytona Beach twice a year and stop for the night at the same 2 towns each way. We have our favorite motels in those towns but are still trying available restaurants to find our favorites. In Corbin KY, Bubby's BBQ is definitely one of our favorites so far. Good selection of "southern style" food for a reasonable price. Our only disappointment during our last 2 trips to Corbin was that Bubby's was closed the nights we were there. We are planning our next trip around Bubby's schedule so we can eat there again. It really is worth it. read more

A tip got us here. We found it excellent! Closed Mon and Tues. Bubby's has a lunch and dinner buffet or ordering off the menu. Lunch buffet offered great fried catfish, pulled pork, fried chicken, and mini meatballs. Along with a salad bar, solid southern cooked veggies, a variety of desserts. Lunch buffet under $9 until 3pm. Dinner under $11and adds ribs, smoked pork chops, frogs legs, shrimp. These vary so call or come to scope it out. This is place is terrible. The food was miserable and it had the oddest selection on the buffet. Everything was frozen to fryer. The drop ceiling had rust and stains. The seating and tables didn't match and were either ripped or just generally in bad shape. They brought menus but said we are out of almost everything, recommend you get the buffet. Food and the restaurant itself get no stars! Our waiter was good and the staff was nice, hence the two stars. My guess is this is a locals favorite spot. Don't recommend for anyone staying the night in the area. read more

We went right before closing and they only had pulled pork, fried chicken and fried catfish. I was little disappointed there's was not any smoke sausage& peppers or ribs. Tried it out for only the second time in a year. First time we had a hamburger during Corbin's Hamburger week and the burger was excellent. Today we had the Buffet. Great suggestion from staffer at welcome center. I don't normally eat at buffets but we were very happy with the baby greens and other offerings on the salad table. We are northerners and thought all was great. Not greasy. Not heavy. And not salty. Loved the green tomatoes and pulled pork and chicken offering.s. We have eaten here several times and it was great but this time we popped in 35 minutes before closing. The BBQ selections were minimal and cold. The staff were very courteous but were preoccupied with cleaning and organizing to close. We will probably return but only at lunch when the food is fresh and hot. read more

I was hesitant to go here because often all you can eat buffets can often serve cheap, unhealthy food. This wasn't the case here. Yes, there were lots of fried choices and things in butter, but there were also lots to choose from that were healthy options. An array of vegetable choices that were not poured out of a can. Several meat choices that were baked. A nice salad bar selection. There was a bit of wait, as it was very busy. But they got us seated pretty quickly and service was fast.
