I stopped at the food truck and ordered the teriyaki chicken and steak. My expectations were not real high considering it was a food truck but I was in a hurry and it sounded better than a drive-thru burger. I'll have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was well cooked and seasoned and the veggies were crisp and not overcooked to the point of mush which tends to happen more often than not. The service was polite and efficient. I have absolutely no complaints. I have since returned twice and have had positive experiences both times as well, which is above average for most quick eats. I came here for a quick vegetarian meal, and got the avocado and cucumber roll. The roll was similar to other places', delicious and simple. I got spicy mayo with it and it seemed very watery and bland. The wasabi on the side was strong and delicious. This is a super casual place to go, even just by yourself. People really seem to love this place. I personally am not the biggest fan but I don't hate it. I know for a fact that I will never get their chicken and noodles again. It was literally just a ton of spaghetti noodles and some FRIED chicken. Made zero sense However if you get a side of teriyaki chicken for $5 it will basically fill you up anyway. So I'm not saying to not eat here. To the contrary if you like this type of food, you will probably enjoy it. It's just not really my types of place. This restaurant is fairly new. Very clean on the inside. They also have a food truck on N Main Street in London, KY. The food is probably a 4 out of 5 but the restaurant staff is definitely a 5 of 5 because they are very friendly and always smiling. The food is great! Highly recommend for quality of food. Here is why it deserves a 2. However, I came in at the same time as a family of 3. We both ordered at the same time. They sat down, I waited for my Togo order. FIVE other people ordered behind me. The family of three and all five behind me received their orders before me. I finally received my order 34 minutes. I ordered three rolls, two fresh/raw and one cooked. The family of three and I walked out together at the same time. One person in the family of three took note of how long I waited. We visited last Saturday after some shopping, and we will be returning. You walk to the counter, order your food, pay, and once prepped the meal is served to your table. We had seen the signs going up for new sushi restaurant in town. We saw it was open & decided to park & I go in to order. I got I. line, listened to people ordering & looked at the menus. it was about 20 minute wait to get food. Most people were sitting at small tables & had 1 small container that was partially eaten & some people talking around the back wall waiting for their orders. we took our 1 small container $14 + tax home. The vegetables were not cooked properly & most chicken & steak meat was tough. One good asset was the staff seemed friendly & tip jar was overflowing. I would say 3/5 to be gratuitously extended because they looked busy but trying. read more

Has such amazing service! I highly recommend Koi Express when you're tired of the same old same old and need something authentic and delicious. It has a very friendly environment and amazing tasting food. The noodles are fantastic and the chicken is obviously only grain fed. This place is garbage, and they stole $20 from me. Do not pay with a debit card I was charged twice for the same order. I called and tried to get a refund on one of the charges and the manager made up a bogus story saying that someone placed the second order online With my card. I have internet banking and see every transaction within minutes of my card being used. This place is a joke in all reality. read more
