We just finished eating at Durhams and WOW, my husband who loves BBQ is still in shock over how good it was!! He had the brisket and meatloaf - brisket was the best he ever had!! We also both agreed the meatloaf was really good too! I had the turkey sandwich and the buttered, toasted bun and juicy turkey was fantastic!! The staff was also so welcoming and nice!! We came in with only 30 minutes to close but they all were super accommodating and helpful!!! We made sure it was okay with them for us to dine in and overwhelmingly a big yes! They checked in with us the whole time and overall a great meal and a great experience! We will definitely be back and spread the word to friends! read more

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BBQ IVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE. Stopped by here on my way down to Florida and have never had ribs like this. Tried a little of everything definitely worth going out of your way to eat here. The owner was awesome too, I told him i dont love turkey but he insisted and brought us a sample. Changed my mind about turkey forever, juiciest and most flavorful turkey ive had ever. 11/10 would recommend. Should be in the michelin guide read more

Man I have I seen the light . Please let me testify about this place . I have been to the mountain top and it is delicious. The Carolina mustard stopped my heart . Then the coleslaw got it going . We still not even talked about the brisket. Put he kids to bed because this meat will make you moan for more . The real shame about this place is that I didn't get the gentleman that was working the front counter name He was amazing. So nice a real pleasure to chat with . It is the perfect bbq feel . We did carry out but the inside was great and very clean . read more

5 + stars, this place is fantastic! Might even say the best BBQ I've ever had. The service was also amazing, a very sweet, kind staff.

This is a nice place with super friendly staff and good blues music playing in the background! I orderedthe pulled pork sandwich with apple slices. The pork is amazing with great smoky flavor and "bark" mixed throughout. The Apple side dish is very tasty with a hint of sugar and spices! Great place!! Prices are good too. read more

On a road trip passing the area and BBQ was calling so we stopped. SO HAPPY we did!! Had the brisket which falls on the scale of some of the best I've had!! Right combination of smoke ring, crust was so good - right amount of spices!! The sausage with jalapeño was full of flavor. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy! And those baked beans-- I'll be talking about those! Super yummy all around!! If you are in the area... give it a try! I'm only disappointed that I don't live near by. read more

First of all the service from the guy up front, fabulous. Pulled pork, brisket and turkey: you won't find better. Stopped on a whim passing through from TN and we will definitely stop again. We eat a lot of BBQ and smoke a lot and I've never had such good brisket and turkey. If you pass on this joint, you are missing out. read more

Durham’s Pit BBQ - Fries, brisket, coleslaw and toast - Barbeque Near Me - London, Kentucky

First time customer from Albany, KY. It was a long drive to finally get to eat at Durham's. It's been on my bucket list for some time now. We went for a Father's Day lunch around 1pm. The place was packed, the line to order was long and the wait for food was extremely long. When the waitress finally arrived with our food, she profusely apologized for it taking so long to arrive at our table. Being understaffed on Father's Day was the main reason we were told. I ordered the Jalapeño and Cheese Sausage basket. It was amazing! Tender, juicy and absolutely delicious! I went back to the counter to order a pound of sausage to go and was told they were out. Seriously folks?!? You didn't prepare for Father's Day and make enough food? I hear in the background they are now out of baked potatoes. The very next person in line was politely greeted and was told what they no longer had. They were also out of ribs. I will say their Carolina Mustard Sauce was to die for. I ordered 3 mason jar bottles to-go. Overall, my sausage was stellar. My cole slaw was a bit dry. My wife's potato salad was not edible. We tried to figure out was actually in it that made it so bad. We came up with heavy cream and sugar. It was just a guess, but it was really off tasting. The potato salad was super creamy and sweet. In closing, I would not drive all the way to London again just for the Ribs, which I really wanted to order, or the sausage which again was great. Everything else just made the trip there less desirable. Because of all of the issues we experienced on Father's Day, I'm really being kind here in giving them 3 stars. My family ordered 2 Tater Piles and they were served cold in the middle. Their excuse was that there is so much cold product that is put on the pile of cross cut fries. I'm sorry, but that is a really poor excuse to serve anything cold. They microwaved them to get them hot again for us. That even failed. It was still very cold in the middle. The prices are extremely affordable for what you get. Their ambiance is nothing to talk about. It's a BBQ joint, but the Blues music was really nice to listen to. More of a "Muddy Waters" vibe which I really enjoyed. read more

We went at dinner time and that bbq was so juicy, fresh. I live 1hr 30 min away I will make that drive just for that taste again

We were in the area for other business and 'yelped' the best. Durham's came in at #1, so we decided to stop in. The food was fantastic!!!! Excellent iced tea - loved the blues music too!! Will definitely be back read more

We had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great as well. I had the 2 meat dinner with pulled pork and jalapeño sausage. It was great. The pulled pork was pulled by hand and the undesirable pieces remove such as fat. Personally, I don't mind a little fat here and there but some folks do, and care for a great presentation didn't go unnoticed. I highly recommend stopping by the place if you are in the mood for great BBQ. read more

Ordered the brisket. They slice it and weigh it and put it on the plate. After I cut away all of the fat, I was left with a very little meat. I left it literally on a napkin on the table so that they could see how much waste I paid for. Not a good experience and we've tried it twice now. Again, nobody seemed interested. If I ever go again, I will ask them to cut the fat off before they weigh it so I can actually eat something and get full. read more

The man at the register knew we were not from the area and told us we were in trouble! He was right!!! The food was EXCELLENT!!! I was going through the area today, and needed a place to eat. I saw this place on yelp and the good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I was a little concerned when I felt like I was turning into a industrial park, But then I saw the restaurant. I had the pulled pork dinner and everything was great. The service was quick, the people were friendly, and I had a really good meal. I'll definitely have to remember this if I ever come back through the area again. read more

A wondful and professional staff experience.. You could smell the wonderful food soon as got out of the car. Their pulled pork is spot on!! The sauce is out of this world, pork was moist and not dried out like some other BBQ places. I would highly recommend pulled pork nacho's and the sweet heat sauce is a treat for the taste buds. I'm so impressed with the brisket, it was the best, most tender, flavorful brisket I ever had. Great job and I really love the down home hospitality I was shown. Love this place and will be back read more

As a retired military couple, my wife and I have had the best BBQ our great nation has to offer during our adventures in Texas, Mississippi, North Carolina, Kansas City, and Tennessee (our forever home). Durham's ribs are world class - the best we have ever had! My wife ordered the ribs and was speechless through most of her meal other than "mmmm, oh my gosh, and WOW" slipping out. She shared two of her ribs with me and I wholeheartedly agree! The smoke flavor and dry rub was spectacular - I personally would never eat these ribs with sauce... they don't need it! I ordered the brisket and pulled chicken plate. The brisket was very moist, tender, and flavorful. The chicken held smoke flavor well and was the perfect canvas for their selection of house sauces. All of the sides were tasty and we highly recommend the baked beans. The staff was so welcoming, polite, and helpful. They clearly take pride in their product and love what they do. This is right off I-75 and worth stopping I'm anytime you're coming through Kentucky! read more

April 2022 - Thank goodness Yelp directed me to this place! Many of the national chains had lousy reviews and so we took a chance on Durham's Pit BBQ. I had a Brisket BBQ sandwich and fries. My mother had a Pork BBQ sandwich and coleslaw. The food was outstanding! The brisket was tender, crunchy, spicy, etc. The service was quick and friendly. Busy place. read more

My husband and I are on our way to South Carolina and found this place when searching maps for places to eat. I wholeheartedly agree with every 5 star review on here. This was the best barbecue we've eaten in a long time! My husband ordered the two meat as did I so we could share and taste several different things. The ribs are so tender and flavourful, no sauce needed! The brisket was the best I've ever had. Potato salad, baked beans, corn nuggets and green beans were all very good. We drive this way frequently and will definitely stop again. read more

Durham’s Pit BBQ - 2 meat bbq plates with 2 sides - Barbeque Near Me - London, Kentucky

I'm from Compton,California. I went to London, Kentucky for work and went to Durham barbecue and it was the best barbecue I've had ever.

Wow ! Haven't had BBQ like this in a long time. This made my night. I was just driving through the city. This is going to be a traditional stop when I drive through London. I am not sure what is better the ribs or the brisket. But I think the bourdon baked beans is what I am going to crave the most. I think I have some googling to do after this meal to try to at least try to figure out how to make this and make up the emptiness these bourbon beans are going to leave in my soul after this meal. read more

I have to admit, this is by far the best bbq I've ever had in london. Everyone needs to make sure they go by and check this out. They have beans with apples. And they taste great. I had pulled chicken and brisket and both were killer. There is only one thing I was a little turned off about. The bbq sauce is super thin and watery. Just ran off my food. But still really good. I will be back and hopefully many times. London people need to make sure they keep this place open! read more

Found this gem while on our way to Gatlinburg. This BBQ is top notch! My husband and I shared two 2 meat plates (which was more than enough, could have split just one 3 meat plate with sides and been good) we had the Brisket, pulled pork and chicken. Everything was delightful. It's hard to find good brisket that isn't dry and cold and this did not disappoint. Juicy, tender and fresh off the smoker. Everything had just enough smoke, but not too much. You could smell the smoke, and taste it but it didn't linger. We also had the fries, Cole slaw, beans and greens. Sides were huge portions for sides and plenty to share. The Hot BBQ sauce was our personal favorite. Peppery and tangy with just enough heat. If we are ever passing through again, we will be sure to stop. Don't pass this one up. It's worth the couple miles off the highway for a quick, delicious lunch! read more
