I don't know how this is in tiny little Corbin, KY but I'm SO glad we found it via Yelp, & yet again the great reviews were very trustworthy. We stopped in on a Saturday evening right after opening time, hoping we would be able to get a table. The place was mostly empty, but WOW was it gorgeous! So much decor, and not a speck of dust or cobwebs on any of it. Looked like a victorian era mansion inside the dining room they took us to. It was all autumnal decor, so beautiful! The place is probably an old department store or something with many different rooms, each with its own decor theme; lots of space for special events. Some families were seated in private rooms. I walked through several of the other rooms and they were all decorated for different holidays, Christmas & Halloween mostly. Although those rooms had a lot of kitschy decor, they were also very beautiful. There were giant carved fireplace mantles, grand pianos, a hall of mirrors, and gorgeous carved wood antique furnishings everywhere. We were coming from a family reunion & a trip to Cumberland Falls, so I feared we would be underdressed (and felt we were a bit), but the staff was very welcoming and we had no problem being seated. Several other diners were dressed very well, and others were wearing jeans and t-shirts. It appears to be a very popular date restaurant, and it would definitely be a great romantic spot for a special dinner. The server was quick, efficient and friendly and made good suggestions. We ordered side salads which arrived quickly and were beautifully arranged. Super fresh ingredients, and delicious dressings. My husband kept exclaiming it was the nicest side salad he's had anywhere, so he was apparently pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken piccata, and my unadventurous husband had a burger. He liked his burger, and ate most of it. My chicken piccata was excellent! The generously sized two pieces of chicken were a bit thicker than usual for piccata, but they were cooked perfectly. Crispy exterior, and very tender and flavorful on the inside. The sauce was a bit thicker than normal piccata sauce but man was it good, and they did not skimp on the capers, which is my favorite part of the dish! It was served over a delicious rice blend which went so well with the sauce and served as a nice foil to the rich saltiness of the chicken. I ate way more of it than I even intended to and was stuffed. As much as we ate for dinner, unbelievably, we forced room for dessert and got an amazingly good chocolate cream cake of some sort which had thick layers of whipped filling between layers of chocolate cake, all topped with ganache. It was like a homemade hostess ding-dong, except way more moist. We ate most of it, despite our full bellies. My husband also raved about this cake, which is unusual because he usually hates things with whipped fillings, but he loved the cake & we had it eaten in no time. Finally, when it was time to pay the bill, it was actually a lot more reasonable than many other places that aren't half as good. Server did a great job. We were super happy with our dinner experience, and both of us agreed that Seasons is a major blessing for downtown Corbin. We will definitely stop in again without hesitation. We walked off our meal by meandering around town in the beautiful evening weather, ending up a block or two away at the pinball museum, so we had a fun date night, all in downtown Corbin! read more

It irritates me so much when I go in for lunch and there is only one or two other tables. This place has the best food in town with the biggest portions at a very good price. I swear if this place closes, I might just move. And I meet folks who have lived here their whole life and haven't been here. I don't know if they think it's expensive, but it's not. I can eat off of their chicken pasta plate for 3 meals and it is covered with freshly shaved Parmesan! Now it seems fancy, and, well, it is.....But, my husband and I go in for linch covered in dirt from the farm and we are treated well. The food quality was extremely poor and lacked flavor. I ordered the sirloin, requesting for it to be prepared medium. It was completely over cooked, being well done and the mashed potatoes were instant potatoes. Extremely disappointing considering the price of the meal. This place is incredible and is the perfect spot for a romantic evening. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Beautiful decor and many great food choices. I ordered the 10 oz Bone in Cowboy Ribeye with an amazing butter pepper sauce and my wife got the Bourbon Salmon with a tremendous salad. A wide selection in dressings. My wife ordered the Mahi blackened It was dry from being over cooked, flavorless, and I could't detect any blackening. I ordered the sirloin medium rare, it was good about the same as Texas Roadhouse. The baked potatoes were cook to perfection and the outer skin was well salted as I would make them. This is such a fascinating restaurant! After seeing pictures of the beautiful decor in this place, we were immediately interested to try it out. All around, you will feel like you are dining in an old Victorian home here. Each room seems to have a different theme, one being entirely decked out with Christmas stuff while another has Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and more! Not only is this place pretty, but the food is great also. I tried their hot brown and it was wonderful. And don't worry about leaving here hungry, because the food portions are GIGANTIC! . After a long day of hiking and travel we arrived at Corbin. We wanted a good meal, as we had been on the road for several days eating southern food on diner found on the road. We were informed that they were completely booked for the evening as the it was Friday and the town was celebrating Halloween. But they encouraged us to show up,,so we did and we were seated. Yay!!! Jamie, our server was excellent, kind, funny, attentive, and helpful. This day they had a preset fix menu which was very much like a thanksgiving dinner. We order one serving of the chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing and the best cranberry relish. The chicken was perfect, moist and cooked throughout. Stuffing did not disappoint. The finished touch was a lemon berry meringue pie, delicious sweet ending. The atmosphere was delightful, the decor extravagant, whimsical, and exuberant. Surprisingly clever restaurant in the heart of Corbin. The dining area was quite unique and elaborate. We had mixed results in our dining experience. The shrimp scampi was heavily creamed and had a little taste to it. The Hawaiian chicken was beautiful and tasty. I ordered a prime sirloin and was given prime rib instead. Not wanting to pay for that I sent it back. The server wrote my order down incorrectly. I would go back again. Our server did not seem overly familiar with the menu which may have caused the mistake with my steak. I'm on sure about that. Once I got the correct steak it was very tasty. read more

This place is truly one of Corbin, KY's hidden gems! It would be worth a trip just to eat lunch or dinner here! The atmosphere rivals Claridge's in London. Each room has a slightly different theme with really fine antiques and artwork beautifully presented. I can only imagine how they dress it up for the holidays...Their menu was so diverse that we had a hard time choosing our lunch. We finally settled on two of our darling hostess's favorites, their homemade chicken salad and their special Season's cheese sandwich with their sweet potato fries. The chicken salad was the BEST I have ever had and my hubby liked his cheese sandwich equally well. Paul and I stopped for lunch at Seasons while on the way to Asheville. We arrived around 11:30 and were seated right away. Seasons is located in a beautiful, expansive building on Corbin's main strip. The main dining room features a wood burning fireplace, a crystal chandelier, and beautiful wood all around. The only thing about the setting that did not make sense was the music--contemporary pop. It just did not fit. Paul ordered the chicken salad platter and the red pepper tomato soup. He enjoyed both selections. I tried a bite of his chicken salad, which is made in house, and found myself wishing I had ordered that platter. I ordered the Black and Blue salad with bleu cheese dressing, and the Renaissance mushroom soup. The greens were incredibly fresh, and the dressing was impressive. Unfortunately, the steak was tough. The mushroom soup was excellent. A word about portions at Seasons--they are ridiculously massive. I live to eat, but I could only finish a third of that salad despite walking in the door famished. Our server could have been neither more friendly nor more slow. Thankfully, the former of the two is more important to me. In summary, if you are passing by Corbin and have the time for a slow paced, scrumptious meal, I recommend Seasons. read more

Listen, I would return to this restaurant in a heartbeat to just bask in the ambience and atmosphere. This restaurant is such a cool place. We attended for lunch and was immediately greeted by an attentive waiter and host for lunch. The menu itself (at least for their lunch) was comprised on a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, and some specialty dishes like the Kentucky Hot Brown. I had a cup of chili and a three salad sampler plate. I will say, it is not the best food I've ever had. It was good. But the food itself would not necessarily draw me back to the restaurant. My plate had chicken salad which was creamy but my preference for chicken salad is sweet. The pasta salad was kind of bland but the pimento cheese was pretty tasty! Regardless, I would absolutely return to this restaurant to hang out and eat again. I would do it multiple times because it is such a cool place. We ventured into Corbin, KY while enjoying our stay at Cumberland Falls to find a nice local restaurant. We found the Seasons Restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed in the least. We went there around 2:00 pm and they closed at 3:00. Parking on the street was easy and no charge. The decor is unusual, quirky and interesting! Old and elegant. The service was very good, timely and attentive. I had decided on the "Hot Brown" only to see that it was only served on Thursday. I ordered a Cheeseburger with fries and my wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich with fries. The cheeseburger was one of the best I've had in a long time...fresh tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and a very tasty bun. Fries were hot and a good complement. The chicken salad was home made, very fresh with great flavor. Prices were very reasonable. All in all a very good experience. If you're in the Corbin area I highly recommend. read more

A flat waste of time.... It was not busy at all, there was only 5 tables of people In the whole restaurant. We arrived at 5:40 excited to try out a new restaurant. When we opened the door there was nobody there to greet us. We stood there for a few minutes and somebody finally showed up to seat us. Water was brought out by one server and then another server showed up to ask if we were ready to order. We mentioned that we were new and to go over the menu. When we said we needed a few minutes, she left and never came back to check on us. We waited an additional 18 min while 2 servers just kept walking by us to wait on other tables. As one of them passed I asked if we could order our food. A different server showed up and took our order. We asked about the daily selection of soup and his reply was "I don't have soup". We waited another 30 minutes and our food still hadn't arrived. Our server was no where to be seen. He eventually showed up to refill our water. I asked how our food was coming along and he didn't have a good answer. We got up and left a few minutes later as we had been there for an hour and had nothing to eat. We went somewhere else to eat. Very interesting decor. Terrible service. When we arrived, it was unclear whether we should wait for someone to come greet us or just go find a seat. We waited a while, and someone came out and took us to a table. We had time to check out the winter/Christmas room a little before he came back to ask about drinks. We got our waters, and then another person came to take orders. We had not been to the restaurant before and asked her what people usually like. She recommended several items, and we said we needed a few minutes. For the next 20 minutes we saw both waitstaff appear now and then to help other tables but no one came back to ours. We actually had to call out to them as they ignored us and ask if we could order. Then the first guy came out to take our order, saying something vaguely apologetic about thinking we had someone else coming. We had a party of three, and he put us at a table with three chairs. I had to ask for a high chair, so I don't think he was actually uncertain of our party size. We asked about the daily soup as instructed by the menu only to find out there wasn't any. We ordered, and then waited. After thirty minutes of waiting for food, on top of the time we already waited to order, someone came to refill drinks and couldn't give a solid answer as to the status of our food. So we left and found someplace faster. They have high chairs but are not good for kids in any other way. What kid can wait an hour and still not have food? Also there is no kids' menu. read more

The food portions are MASSIVE, and I eat a ton. I took half away. The wait staff was very polite and attentive. To boot, the food was superb and not over priced. I've gotten food to go from here a few times, but most recently decided to try dining in. Previously, I've stuck with the prime rib special and it is wonderful. The spring mix salad I ordered when dining is was hands down the best salad I've ever had in my entire life. We literally found this place by driving along and selecting it at random. We like to try local establishments rather than franchise restaurants- especially in small towns. This is a winner. Extremely unique décor makes you feel like you've entered a castle. Christmas English castle. Pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. I ordered the hot brown because I'm a good Kentucky boy raised on all varieties of hot Browns all around the state. This was the best I've ever had. Quite rich and definitely a meat lovers version of the original classic. Compares favorably to my previous favorites at the Brown Hotel and Ramsey's! My wife ordered the quiche of the day. She loved it. The cranberry relish was outstanding. Superlatives are not sufficient. We are paying now and will leave happy as ever exiting a restaurant. This place is owned by some local decorators with a good reputation and you can tell as soon as you enter the very interesting setting. Thankfully the chef is as good as the decorators and the food matches the décor. It is hard to narrow down a list of favorites but I frequently order the hot brown, roast beef sandwich, salad trio, and any of the large salads. This place is an odd mix of pretentious and home. A place to take your friends from out of town to impress them, and to give them a meal to remember. All in all, it works. It is both interesting and memorable. A few may complain that the prices are high, but portions are large and frankly, I can spend just as much at a fast food restaurant. If you are in Corbin and want a local place that you will remember, this is it. Just go downtown, look for the sign, and either park on main street or in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Went in on a Thursday evening with my parents. There was only one other table of diners. The place is cavernous, with decorations everywhere. Interestingly, it appears that the place is not only a restaurant, but also a jewelry store and a furniture store. As I walked from room to room, almost getting lost, it was hard to see where the restaurant ended and the stores began. We had a very friendly young man as our server. He was the only person visibly working in the restaurant, although the occasional person emerged from the kitchen. The food came out quickly from the kitchen. Side salad was humongous. This was a sign that all portions were going to be huge. My parents had steaks and seafood. I had chicken piccata. We agreed that all the food was absolutely delicious. I was somewhat surprised that the two pieces of chicken on my plate were actually breaded and fried, rather than simply sautéed. No matter, they were delicious, especially accompanied by the piccata sauce. This restaurant seems out of place in this sleep community. The decor is remarkable. The food is delicious. The service is very friendly and efficient. If you happen to find yourself near Corbin, KY, take the time to get off the highway and head to Seasons. You will not regret the experience. read more

A hidden Gem in Southeastern Kentucky. Hidden in plain sight. I found this location while reviewing another location in Corbin, KY. And I am so glad I did. It's a place that is worth the visit even if to just see the decor! Let's start there, shall we? It's almost like walking into a time portal to Elizabethan England. The seating is huge, Vaulted ceilings, beautiful tapestries, Chandeliers and just so many other things that I can't put into words just how beautiful this place is. Except one factor. There is a VERY tacky carpet down. Looks like Tiger fur to me. However, I was more in awe by the massive fire place with griffins on it. I am a tall man, 6'4" and I can almost stand in this mantle that surrounds a huge fireplace. All of the furniture in here is massively built. Seemingly to withstand the ages. I would recommend you stop here just for this part. For you Christmas fans out there, there is an entire room dedicated to this holiday. It stays up and decorated year round. Life sized Santa and reindeer. Huge bedroom suit decorated with life sized children sleeping waiting for "Ol'Saint Nick" to come in. Quite impressive, if not a little creepy for my taste. Lets move on to the food and service of the location. My wife partook of the Shrimp Scampi Linguine. She stated that it was "The best shrimp" she had ever tasted. I am sadly allergic to Garlic. But I did take a small bite, and it was extremely good. "The best" I hate to say that I disagree, but I've had some extremely good shrimp in my life. However, "One of the best" I will say without hesitation. The pasta was well cooked, Not chewy, and she stated that it was seasoned masterfully. I was not feeling like a very heavy meal, so I decided to try the Chicken Salad with Cranberry Bread. Let em tell you. This is the reason I will be going back. I have tried Chicken Salad everywhere I've had the opportunity. This is without a doubt the best I've ever had. The dish comes out de-constructed. For anyone that is not familiar with this technique, it means that each ingredient is on the plate, and you can put it together as you like. The chicken in the salad is grilled and then chilled and shredded, with Grapes, celery and Pecans added in. Along with the sauce. You receive two large scoops of that, for lack of a better description, They look like Ice cream scoops. Then you receive two large pieces of bread. The cranberry Bread was a new item for me to try. I had not tried it in the past, so I decided that it sounded good enough to get this time. I was right. It was absolutely delicious. just the right flavors, however, as I'm not very versed in the texture, I'm not certain if it was tough or normal. It seemed a little chewy to me, but I have a feeling that's how it's supposed to be. On top of all this, there was a large selection of fruit with the salad. Watermelon, Strawberries, Grapes, an Orange slice, Cantelope, and a very interesting mixed fruit salad. This was something that I struggled with discerning the flavors, but thanks to our server the ingredients are Cranberries, Pineapple and Orange Zest. This was all fresh clean and made it the perfect warm day meal. If you're looking for a light meal that will fill you up, this is the one.
