The Restaurant is colocated with a gas station but don't let that stop you from coming and trying their food. I've had one of the BEST cheeseburgers that I have had in a really long time here at the restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky. The hamburger patty isn't the thin preformed patty like a lot of places. It's a real thick patty and it is so flavorful. It's so good I had it for lunch both days I was in Corbin. First time here. Been wanting to try it because of the good reviews. So glad we did! Our waitress and entire staff that we encountered were extremely nice and so personable. The food was awesome! My husband had the hamburger steak with mac - n- cheese and cole slaw. I had chicken tenders, fried green tomatoes and deep fried corn. All were excellent! Had the Brandon burger from the Gut Buster Challenge menu. It's a large burger with cheese lettuce pickle and onions. Comes with fries. It was pretty good. It's two handmade patties. I'd order it again. My Dad has the Catfish. He said it and the cole slaw was good. He didn't like the baked beans though. They were a little dry and our family likes it more juicy. After reading the reviews and having a dear friend recommend JonEvan Jack's my husband and I were truly looking forward to trying this restaurant. Much to our disappointment we did not have a positive experience. We were seated as soon as we entered and then were completely ignored. We sat patiently in our booth while a waitress waited on a table close to us thinking we would be next. Nope. Ignored. After 15 minutes we had enough, got up, spoke to the waitress at the counter and politely told her since no one wanted to wait in us we would just eat somewhere else. Then it was "I'm so sorry! The food is trash. First time ever eating there, we ordered carry out. I had the 5 piece wings, Mac and cheese and a side salad. My kid had the little doggies and green beans. First off, the wings looked chewed up and so tiny! The Mac and cheese tasted like plastic. My kid gave a double thumbs down and said it almost made him puke! Like how hard is it to make Mac and cheese? Salad was OK. They placed my kids green beans in the same box as his little corn dogs and the juice spilled over and soaked into the breading. Yum! My daughter and I were in Williamsburg for college orientation and checked out the neighboring town of Corbin, looking to grab a bite. We were both craving a hamburger and JonEvan Jack's popped up on our radar. The building is very unassuming and we almost passed right by. We were greeted and seated immediately. Everyone was super friendly and the restaurant, although somewhat older and dated, was very clean. Our waiter was fantastic. We each ordered a burger and decided to try the bologna fries as well. The fries were awesome but a bit too much for the two of us to finish since we were each digging in to our burgers. Burgers were amazing! We were on our way home from a wedding in Georgia and I was in the mood for a great burger....it seemed like there wasn't a lot of options but my wife happened to find this place and we decided to give it a shot. It was a very good decision! The building doesn't look like much from the outside but it's what's inside that matters. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They make you feel right at home...almost as if you're at a family backyard cookout. Our food came out quickly and was very delicious! I had the Red Storm burger and loved it! My wife had the steak tips and those were great as well. The fries are just average but good. We'll definitely stop by again if we are passing through the area. Fairly new place ! Super clean and super friendly! The burgers are OUT OF THIS WORLD !! We got the Branden's burger which is 2- 7 oz patties with cheese and all the fixin's. We also got the Hamazing burger - 1- 7 oz patty with ham and fried onions. The fries are great and the salad is fresh. Be aware .... there is pie and it is AWESOME ! We also got some boneless wings that were real chicken breast with a really good sweet barbecue . Got to talk to the owner and the restaurant is known for the Pineapple Express burger ..... OMG !! We ate here twice over Memorial Day weekend and we were not disappointed! They have a creative menu selection. We tried the bologna fries, onion rings, pizza and wings deal (price can't be matched - large pizza and 20 wings for $21.99) and also a PB&J Burger. They were all delicious and freshly battered (anything deep fried). The service was alright, they did well, just could tell they were newer to serving. They didn't have a liquor license yet, but will have it by June 1, so we could only have beer. We also discovered there is a fresh salad bar. The overall experience was awesome. This restaurant is brand new, just a couple of months. Burgers are great, large and a very good "grill char" to them. Fresh and dressed very well. Fries are ok, standard to us. Pizza is ok, and the wings too. We've eaten here 5 or 6 times since they opened. Service is improving each time, and I think they'll get it lined out very soon. No beer or alcohol. For us, that's important as we like beer with our food sometimes. Staff tell us different stories as to whether or not they'll have it eventually. Although new, it's worth a shot. So We ordered 6 piece and the 9 piece catfish dinner with onion rings, mashed potatoes and Cole slaw... we got our food and the mashed potatoes was heated way to long and was just blah. Our catfish was cat fingers and the onion rings was onion pedals so beside that they was no tartar sauce and the ranch dressing was a no no... the drinks was good... and the waiter was good.
