Steak, shrimp, and chicken fajitas. Such large portions. Definitely enough to take home.

There are at least three different Mexican restaurants in Middlesboro so I was excited to finally try this one out in the plaza next to the furniture store. They have your typical selection of food. I got fajitas, which came with chicken, beef, and shrimp in a massive portion. Plenty to take home for lunch the next day. The servers were friendly and prompt with refilling drinks and the basket of homemade chips and salsa. Give this place a try!

Their version of a taco salad. Bad!

This is bland beyond belief. Uncooked pasta has more flavor. The cheese dip, carne asada & arroz are utterly tasteless

Also, they have two locations, but the one on Cumberland Ave (connected to the Days Inn) is the best.

I was greeted and seated immediately by friendly staff, I had chips and a mini carafe of salsa put on my table immediately. Beverage not too far behind that. I ordered the Pelancho's special fajita switcher chicken beef and shrimp. The food Was delivered very quickly, sizzling on its platter. Beans rice and guacamole salad were on another plate along with the tortillas wrapped in foil. It was a lot of food! And the prices were very reasonable. Above average experience overall, and The food was better than what you'd find in your typical Mexican joint.

They were dry and flavorless. It was hunks of slow cooked pork they put on a flatop to brown. The garnish for the dish was quite terrible. The tomatoes tasted like them were canned. I also had the Pelancho's dip. Other than the vessel used to serve it, Ihqve nothing to say but "yum" This was DELICIOUS. Churro cake for dessert was sad. Flavor was good, texture was not. It was reheated and got both hard to cut & chewy. Flavor was decent. I do wish all restaurants who serve ice cream with dessert would package the ice cream in a styrofoam cup. Shawna was fantastic. She helped me when I arrived, made menu suggestions, made sure all my items were correct, and placed extra napkins & utensils in my bag. She was extremely friendly. Clear she enjoys her work. Unfortunately, due to the quality of my main course, I won't have a meal from Pelancho's again. I will grab a snack of the Pelancho's Dip regularly

Mixed review. Skip…read morethe guac and sour cream. Do order anything with the shredded chicken. Service is wonderful. Very attentive. Atmosphere. There is a very persistent cleaner smell. If you are sensitive to cleaner smells, it will interfere with your eating experience. So the great. Enchilada sauce is subtle and perfect. Best I've had in a while. Best chips in the area. Solid salsa- lil' kick and smooth. The shredded chicken is juicy, well seasoned and has been shredded with care. Haven't had a bad bite yet. The guacamole is some kind of slush that has the consistency of mushed peas. So watered down with something else, it ceases to taste anything like avocados. Same problem with the sour cream. It's either the quality or it's been cut with something to make it thinner. There is no tang that sour cream should have. All other sides so far, tomatoes, lettuce, beans and rice have been of the best quality. Best Mexican I have had in KY and TN so far. (40 mile area, tried 5 other establishments.)

One of our team on the drive after dinner said "I so wish I lived closer because dinner was so good!" And, it was SO GOOD beginning with the warm greeting at the door and the excellent attentive service!! Every server was smiling and after dinner I even had a conversation with our waiter while he was prepping silverware because we enjoyed his service so much (He had actually lived in New Jersey back in the day ). We learned our lesson from last year and three of us ordered their chicken soup which just as perfectly delicious as our memories reminded us. It just might be one of the best chicken soups I have sampled anywhere! I ordered tamals with my soup and they were oh so good!! Even our team member who told us she doesn't like Mexican food left happy! In the background is Mexican music ... such a wonderful place to enjoy dinner if only it wasn't 650 miles from home. Well we will be back next year!

Well ... that was a TOTAL SURPRISE!!!…read more SHOCKINGLY GOOD with a SUPERB EXPERIENCE!! We make this annual stop because it's the only breakfast location that is open as we start our drive back to New Jersey but always it's been ugh Cracker Barrel knowing we wouldn't be very happy. But this year was different... walked in and the warm classic store delivered that "back home" we've been here before feeling. The hostess led our group to a round table surrounded by old photos and antiques on the wall. The menu offered an array of choices and our group made a diverse selection of breakfast items Coffee delivered promptly... Carolyn was a great waitress! And, then for the surprise... THE FOOD was actually delicious and more than plentiful. I heard the comment from across the table "this is real French Toast!" And, he was smiling over his breakfast. The classic Cracker Barrel breakfast another member chose had "so much food" and when asked how his breakfast was he nodded affirmatively. My blueberry pancakes were such perfect griddle cakes with crisp edges might be amongst the very best pancakes ever. The sausage was flavorful and just right. One of the group asked for fruit and we were all jealous because it was picture perfect fresh sweet fruit! The only complaint ... where was the peg game?? But we were busy enjoying breakfast to really notice. Debbie, the cashier, just made us feel happy as we headed back to continue our 10 hour drive. I will be less critical the next time Cracker Barrel comes up in conversation... this was a near perfect breakfast.
