Ordered takeout. Huge fan of Mexican. When carnitas are on the menu, it is my go to order. I was hugely disappointed to find the Carnitas were made with pork loin instead of shoulder. They were dry and flavorless. It was hunks of slow cooked pork they put on a flatop to brown. The garnish for the dish was quite terrible. The tomatoes tasted like them were canned. I also had the Pelancho's dip. Other than the vessel used to serve it, Ihqve nothing to say but "yum" This was DELICIOUS. Churro cake for dessert was sad. Flavor was good, texture was not. It was reheated and got both hard to cut & chewy. Flavor was decent. I do wish all restaurants who serve ice cream with dessert would package the ice cream in a styrofoam cup. Shawna was fantastic. She helped me when I arrived, made menu suggestions, made sure all my items were correct, and placed extra napkins & utensils in my bag. She was extremely friendly. Clear she enjoys her work. Tried the huevos rancheros off of the lunch special and it was tasty! It reminded me of shakshuka and was a good brunch item. It was kinda salty but mixing the rice with the sauce helped. Overall super filling meal, I would get this again! Good price for the portion you get. Service was friendly and quick. read more

I was greeted and seated immediately by friendly staff, I had chips and a mini carafe of salsa put on my table immediately. Beverage not too far behind that. This is our go to restaurant for Mexican in the Middlesboro area. Whenever we are in town, we make it a point to stop here. The drinks are great as long as you don't fall for the house margarita special. It's like watered down lemonade. The food is excellent. I have tried several things from their menu and have yet to get a bad meal. My favorites are the enchiladas,and the fajitas. The churros are also very good as a finish. Give it a try. Overall, I'd eat here again The staff was very friendly and attentive. Never had an empty cup and food was prepared and served quickly. The booths were a little uncomfortable and squeaky but the chairs at the tables looked super comfy. The food was piping hot and both mine and my coworkers plates were filled with food. I had steak nachos and was unfortunately a little disappointed with them. Overall they were ok but the cheese was like water and the steak was flavorless. We catered from Pelnacho's for 40 people. It was ONLY $200 for 40 people ($5 per person)! That is dirt cheap. They gave us soooooo much food it could have fed 50-55 people. I'm not kididng, it was so much food it completely filled up my Civic. The service is outstanding! Our food was ready upon arrival. They loaded my car for me and put huge plastic bags underneath the pans in case it spilled. I thought the food overall was average and that's why I didn't give them five stars. Nothing too great, but not horrible either. They have wifi and LMU students get 15% off! They have sooo much space inside, so you can bring huge groups and won't have to worry about it being too crowded. read more

In Middlesboro working and stopped in to have dinner. Service was quick and very friendly. The decor is classic Tex-Mex and a number of TV's are scattered around for viewing while you eat. This place also offers free WIFI, which is great when your catching up on news and email. I ordered the chicken fajitas. Received a large portion. They were well prepared and tasty. This area is dry so no crevasse but a cola washed it down just fine. Good meal for under $15. I will go back. Only negative is the tables are sticky. They need to find a different cleaner. read more

Reasonably priced Mexican. Ask for senior discount at check out. We have our favorites and this is a good choice when in this particular area. You may want to ask for some hot salsa and habanero sauce as the initial serving with chips is on the mild side. I thought the Chille Relleno was quite good today. So you might look at me crazy, but my fave Mexican restaurant is not located in Chicago, but in Ky. In the hills of Kentucky to be exact. Mexican population of about 20. Maybe. The service is generally quick and always friendly - granted this is the south so friendliness should be guaranteed anyway, but still, worth mentioning. The free chips and salsa are good, nothing spectacular, but certainly decent. I always pretend to look at the menu knowing full well I will be ordering the same thing I always do - arroz con pollo. That's rice with chicken for y'all. This is no ordinary arroz con pollo though. First, the entree is enormous. Easily enough for 2 meals. Second, there are tons of veggies - onions, peppers, fresh tomatoes and avocado all enhanced by the flavorful fajita style chicken and the cheesy rice. Oh that cheese...I am not sure which exact variety it is, but damn, it's delicious! Also, for some reason, the fountain Coke tastes better here than anyplace else. You may be under the impression that all Coke tastes the same but you would be wrong. And(!), to make things even better, they serve drinks with an appropriate amount of ice - ie. cup is filled with ice (The way God intended). Lastly, the prices here are ridiculous. Ridiculously cheap that is. Chips, salsa, pico de gallo, drinks and 2 entrees is only around $20. Even less if you happen to go with the daily special! We went to palanchos during a mission trip In Frakes and we were very pleased with the restaurant. We brought 14 teeenagers and they accomodated us very well. Their portions were large and tasty!! But then our plates came one was chicken fajitas they looked good but the chicken was rubbery then we remembered why we hadn't come to this restaurant for a while their chicken was rubbery the last time if not for that it would have been okay. The other plates was a fried avocado with steak inside surrounded by melting hot cheese, a steak burrito, rice and beans it was pretty good but it was not to hot the waitress was awesome. I love this place! I come here all the time and sure sometimes something is not 100% but everyone is always so friendly and willing to assist! Their margaritas are always consistently good and the food comes out hot and fast. I am pretty sad there is no more LMU discount, though.... I guess it got too popular! From the moment we walked in the door (my friend accidentally brushed up against a prickly pear cactus which was overgrowing the sidewalk and got glochids stuck in her hand and arm) and were seated at a sticky table, to the time when our overdone ground beef chimichangas were brought to the table, right through to the moment I walked into a dirty, musty, water-damaged restroom, the entire experience was best-described as disappointing.
