Fajitas plate, rice beans and guacamole salad, chips and salsa... Oh, and beer.
    Chris R.

Food and service both excellent. I recommend it. A lively, busy place when I was there. I was greeted and seated immediately by friendly staff, I had chips and a mini carafe of salsa put on my table immediately. Beverage not too far behind that. I ordered the Pelancho's special fajita switcher chicken beef and shrimp. The food Was delivered very quickly, sizzling on its platter. Beans rice and guacamole salad were on another plate along with the tortillas wrapped in foil. It was a lot of food! And the prices were very reasonable. Above average experience overall, and The food was better than what you'd find in your typical Mexican joint.

This is a great spot if you want a lot of food at a great price. We got the family style fajitas and it was HUGE! So much food we took a lot home for leftovers. The service was nice and we were surprised they weren't busier. Good drinks, good food and great prices. We will definitely be back.

We catered from Pelnacho's for 40 people. It was ONLY $200 for 40 people ($5 per person)! That is dirt cheap. They gave us soooooo much food it could have fed 50-55 people. I'm not kididng, it was so much food it completely filled up my Civic. The service is outstanding! Our food was ready upon arrival. They loaded my car for me and put huge plastic bags underneath the pans in case it spilled. I thought the food overall was average and that's why I didn't give them five stars. Nothing too great, but not horrible either. They have wifi and LMU students get 15% off! They have sooo much space inside, so you can bring huge groups and won't have to worry about it being too crowded.

Had the beef fajitas. Beef was just so so. Maybe the chicken would have been better or something else. Average.

Sunday afternoon took twenty five mins for server to come to the table, and over thirty more mins for food to come.

One of our team on the drive after dinner said "I so wish I lived closer because dinner was so good!" And, it was SO GOOD beginning with the warm greeting at the door and the excellent attentive service!! Every server was smiling and after dinner I even had a conversation with our waiter while he was prepping silverware because we enjoyed his service so much (He had actually lived in New Jersey back in the day ). We learned our lesson from last year and three of us ordered their chicken soup which just as perfectly delicious as our memories reminded us. It just might be one of the best chicken soups I have sampled anywhere! I ordered tamals with my soup and they were oh so good!! Even our team member who told us she doesn't like Mexican food left happy! In the background is Mexican music ... such a wonderful place to enjoy dinner if only it wasn't 650 miles from home. Well we will be back next year!

The staff didnt take me and my friends order and we had to call over the waiter so we could get our food. After, the waiter kept harassing our table constantly asking if we had gotten a certain order, despite us saying no several times. The staff was terrible and charged me for a water or he gave me the wrong check. Afterwards, the server who was paying made me tip. I didn't get the option. Second off, the food itself was not good quality. The beef tasted uncooked and unseasoned, the cheese tasted spoiled and was crunchy, tortillas were stale, the chicken was chewy, the rice and beans tasted unflavored, and my friends food was cold. The food is also overpriced. I do not recommend. I get this restaurant may have been understaffed, but I do not understand why our experience had to be so severely affected by that.

One time I asked for cheese in a small cup for my nachos because they barely put any on there. Literally like 4 drops. The funny part is, the lady goes back to talk to ask the manager and then he comes out to tell me "next time it's 35 cents". I just said okay and walked away with my half filled cup of cheese. Another day, I ordered a mexican pizza. They probably put 4 pieces of beans on there. Like it was just two of those nacho circle things with no beans at all (not joking). I went and told the cashier and she looked at it and said sorry about that. And then asked if I'd like beans in a cup instead??? I said no, can you make another one? And then she went back to talk to the supervisor and she got the okay and I got another pizza. Yes they made me another pizza, but what if I was in the drive-thru and already home? This taco bell is okay. Could be better. Or maybe I just have a bad streak here.

We didn't want to go in because of the rain and was going to eat in the parking lot. When we opened the bag, there were no napkins and no fork to eat the pizza with. Well ... that was a TOTAL SURPRISE!!!…read more SHOCKINGLY GOOD with a SUPERB EXPERIENCE!! We make this annual stop because it's the only breakfast location that is open as we start our drive back to New Jersey but always it's been ugh Cracker Barrel knowing we wouldn't be very happy. But this year was different... walked in and the warm classic store delivered that "back home" we've been here before feeling. The hostess led our group to a round table surrounded by old photos and antiques on the wall. The menu offered an array of choices and our group made a diverse selection of breakfast items Coffee delivered promptly... Carolyn was a great waitress! And, then for the surprise... THE FOOD was actually delicious and more than plentiful. I heard the comment from across the table "this is real French Toast!" And, he was smiling over his breakfast. The classic Cracker Barrel breakfast another member chose had "so much food" and when asked how his breakfast was he nodded affirmatively. My blueberry pancakes were such perfect griddle cakes with crisp edges might be amongst the very best pancakes ever. The sausage was flavorful and just right. One of the group asked for fruit and we were all jealous because it was picture perfect fresh sweet fruit! The only complaint ... where was the peg game?? But we were busy enjoying breakfast to really notice. Debbie, the cashier, just made us feel happy as we headed back to continue our 10 hour drive. I will be less critical the next time Cracker Barrel comes up in conversation... this was a near perfect breakfast.
