I can't say enough good things about Future Auto Service. Recently, I had an unexpected and stressful situation when my rear driver-side tire blew out on the freeway. I had no appointment and no plan--I simply had the tow truck bring my vehicle straight to Future Auto because I trusted them. Despite being a walk-in under emergency circumstances, they immediately took care of me. The team quickly repaired my flat tire, performed a complete complimentary inspection, and even fixed my headlights again free of charge, which truly meant a lot. Arthur, the owner, is incredibly kind, genuine, and honest--you can tell he truly cares about his customers. Ashley at the front office was sincere, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The mechanics who worked on my truck were professional, efficient, and clearly take pride in their work. I've been coming to this location for some time now, and the consistency in service is what keeps me coming back. The shop is clean, modern, and well-maintained, and the waiting area is comfortable with complimentary coffee, donuts, and water--which is a nice touch when you're unexpectedly stuck waiting. I highly recommend Future Auto Service to anyone looking for trustworthy, high-quality automotive care. They truly go above and beyond.

Future Auto Service in Burbank is amazing! We brought our Maserati in because it wouldn't start, and we were freaking out thinking it was something serious because we brought into another shop to be diagnosed that said it was. Henry was super nice and reassuring from the start. He ran all the proper tests and quickly found out it was just a bad battery. As soon as he replaced it, the car started right up and has been running perfectly ever since. The prices were fair, and they really went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. I'll definitely be coming back here again -- highly recommend! -Warm Regards Ryan

Artur was beyond wonderful to work with. He helped us broker a new car with all our request for Nissan Kicks. When everything was all set and done with the figures, it came out to even better than what I expected. I'm guessing it's just a little something that he puts in to show his appreciation that you used his service to get a new car. I can't stress more than you should use him to broker your new or used car without all the runaround circus at the dealership. The whole transaction was done electronically. You have an option to have the car delivered to you. We chose to pick it up. This by far was one of the best car purchases that I experienced.

I think what amazed me and impressed me enough to try Chalard's Auto Repair was their rating here on Yelp, I mean a 5 STAR RATING for an Auto Mechanic? Could it be possible? It is when you're talking about this place. When I needed rear brakes and a fuel filter and everyone elses estimates seemed to be way over-inflated, I decided to stop by Chalard's - and I am SO GLAD I did. Everything you've read from other 5 Star Reviewers who have called him an "excellent" and "honest" mechanic with "fair" and "reasonable" prices is absolutely true. Several other mechanics I had visited first tried to tell me that certain things were wrong with my car and needed to be repaired or replaced but I already knew better and so when I asked Chalard about repairing those items he honestly said "You don't need it." When he tried tightening an upper radiator hose to stop a very small leak and it didn't work he discovered a tiny pinhole in the radiator where the hose was fitting. Chalard patched the hole NO CHARGE at the time he did the other work I needed. This is really a classically GREAT mechanic supervising other great mechanics in his repair shop and it would benefit other Auto Repair shops everywhere to look at Chalard's as the BENCHMARK role model for their own work and ethics standards. ;) read more

Chalard is simply the most reliable and honest mechanic around. He will bend over backward to help your situation and is beyond reasonable with his prices. I've been going to his shop since 1994 and I always send people to him. They're equally as pleased. There's a market across the street with great breakfast burritos, coffee etc. and a fantastic makeup brush store (Morphe) a couple of blocks up if you needs to spend some time in the area. There's also a laundry place near the market if you want to kill two birds. I cannot thank Chalard enough for his amazing service. He will always have my business. read more

Im very car illiterate, have no idea about cars and Yelp helped me out. I never write reviews, NEVER, but I have to write about Charlards. A friend of mine from San Francisco is a car repair guy so I kept calling him for help on my car, and from the symptoms of my car he said I might need a new clutch that would cost me about $900-$1000 for a great quality clutch or he even told me I can go the cheaper route and get a crappy clutch for $500 or less if I needed to save. I didn't think I can afford the clutch but I needed whatever was best for my car and my financial needs. So I went with my best interest. I found Charlards on YELP, from the GREAT REVIEWS, I decided to go to him. He told me that my clutch would cost about $400 after I picked up the car. So I paid him thinking it was probably the worst quality clutch I received after he didn't ask me what kind of clutch I needed or how much I wanted to spend. When I got my car and drove it, it felt like it was brand new again assuming, OK my car is fine, it isn't that bad so I didn't think it was a big deal. So I called back my friend who's an expert and an auto repair guy, and told him about it. He said that it may be a fake and that my car would break down in less than a year if I paid that much for the clutch. So he told me to take a snap shot of the receipt and invoice and researched on it. He then told me that the auto repair guy (CHARLARDS AUTO REPAIR) gave me the best quality clutch and HOOKED IT UP!!!! My friend, the auto expert, and myself tells you and all the yelp readers or anyone who needs a car fix, to go to this guy. Hands down best auto repair fix guy in town and affordable. read more

Chalard is a seriously awesome guy! He has to be the most decent auto mechanic out there! Ever since my husband and I found him on Yelp (where all his 5-star reviews are pretty self explanatory), we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! The first time we went to him was because my car was overheating and other mechanics had said that it was most likely an engine problem (which would have cost me around $2000). I went to Chalards, and he replaced the thermostat and the problem was fixed for 15 bucks!!! THAAANK YOU CHALARD!!! Then recently, my husband and I both went there because both of our cars were making strange sounds (again, we were afraid that it was engine related which would cost us a fortune, especially for two cars). Chalard discovered that my issue was simply that my oil was low (apparently when the temperature changes back and forth, the oil gets burnt faster and the lack of oil was what made the noise), and so he changed the oil, oil filter, and did some other stuff and my total bill was $27!!! THAAANK YOU CHALARD! With my husband's car, he found that we needed to replace the AC compressor. He shopped around, but at the end of the day he said all the ones he found cost $400, which he thought was way over-priced. He advised us to check the Internet to find something cheaper. Then he let us drive off without even charging us for figuring out the problem. We went home, found an AC compressor for $125 shipped, bought it, and now we are waiting for it to be delivered so we can go back to Chalard to get the work done there. Chalard is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy and we are sooo grateful to have found him! read more

Chalard is so smart he knows exactly what is wrong with you car every single time. I've gone to him after having other places tell me that it's one thing that needs fixed and he always proves them wrong! Why would I go elsewhere you say if he's so good? Time and convenience. I live in Hollywood and he is in Burbank. It's not always easy to get a ride over to him and then he does take a little time to work on your car so you have to be willing to be without your wheels for a couple days-depending on what the issue is. However, it's totally worth it as he has the most competitive pricing, he will never steer you wrong, he only fixes what needs fixed and never overcharges you for unwanted things. He is a rockstar in my book and I LOVE HIM! I really do, I wish he were a dentist or a hairstylest too because I trust him so much! One thing though, he is Asian and kinda hard to understand sometimes so don't freak out if you don't get what he's saying, just trust that he will do the right thing. Also, when you call, a lot of times the phone is not picked up and you have to call back but it's only because he's working his butt off so he can get your wheels back to you so you can make it to those auditions all over the city! If you're tight on cash and even if you're not, he is the best deal around and the most competent! read more

I recently brought my Honda Civic in to have the compressor in the air conditioner replaced. Chalard's Auto Repair did a wonderful job. I heard of them via a referral from a friend who highly recommended them and is also in the auto business. He doesn't know how they can do such great work and such affordable price. I drove all the way from Carlsbad to have my car worked on and would do it again. Chalard's provided exceptional service in a timely fashion and came through with everything they promised-actually they came in slightly less than quoted which was a nice surprise. On top of the great pricing they provided a year warranty!! The owner is a very sweet soft spoken man and very easy to business with and support. I highly recommend this auto repair shop. read more

If you want to spend a lot of money from the beginning, you can just go to many other places. Chalard is so honest that he will first try to fix it with a minimum (or no) cost if he thinks it's worth trying that way, then he will definitely see it through and fix the problems completely if he is sure new parts or further fixes are necessary. Some people might not like this approach, and may just conclude they are that as good as we're saying they are. As you can see from the majority of great reviews however, you can absolutely trust this place. Chalard is still the best and the most honest mechanic around. Once you go to Chalard's, it's hard to trust anyone else. They are skilled, they are humble, and they are honest. Remember, there are many good mechanics who can fix your cars: their approaches and costs are all different. Chalard's has been more than a great shop for me for many years. I will never go to anyone else. read more

I've had so many bad experiences with mechanics in the past that when my very reliable Toyota Rav4 needed major mechanical my head was spinning. He actually came recommended by another mechanic down the street who was a specialist. My fiance came with me to make sure there wasn't any funny business. He admitted it was a very expensive job, over $1,000, even more at the dealer, but he was kind and gave me a big break on the price. We checked other places to make sure and he was by far the most reasonable. He did a terrific job. My car felt like new. Went back to him for other minor fixings. Funny thing is everytime I see him he's in a different mood. I think it depends on how busy he is which he usually is. He's never really talkative and he's usually serious, but I was pleasantly surprised when he joked with me on the phone. He said "Sure, bring the car in anytime, but don't bring it in when it's raining. I don't want to be swimming!" Anyone who knows Chalard knows this is a gem coming from him! read more

I have been using Charlard for at least 12-15 years. He is the most honest mechanic you will ever find. I had a starter replaced recently. Other place quoted $350. He charged $150.00 and discovered after replacing it that it had a defect. He replaced it immediately, saying he would not let me leave the lot until it was perfect. I used to get my oil changes there, but you have to leave the car all day as he works it in and I used to walk to his shop..2 miles each way. Can't do it now, so I am only able to use him for major things. Wouldn't go to anyone else. He's the best. I read more

I am very grateful to Chalard for fixing my car for such a low price. I have been having problems with my brakes for sometime now. I am scared to have it fixed because it might cost a lot of money. But I was surprised he didn't charged us much. Half the price of what others has estimated. My prayers were answered. Now I am driving my car without worrying that me and my son might get into an accident due to break problems. Another bonus is, he fixed our door handles on the driver side and the passenger side (the insides) and charged us so cheap as well. He did all the repairs in one day even though the whole place was packed with cars!!! Very affordable place and Chalard is very helpful and nice. It was nice to finally meet him in person. I read about him here in yelp and one of my friend's recommended him as well to me. I am now recommending him to all my friends and family. My husband andI will definitely come back again. read more

I typically do not find service that reaches the heights found at this business. Once upon a time, I had a job that involved reviewing service quality at luxury hotels and resorts, so when I experienced world-class level service at this auto repair business, I was in a pleasant state of shock. Tiko and Andre must have been trained by Ritz Carlton. Kind and considerate, they know how to treat people and build trust with their clients. I could list the many ways they do this, but I don't want to bore you. Most recently, my car showed symptoms of needing a new engine. Instead of taking the job, Andre did research to find that I qualified for a dealer warranty. He suggested I take the car to the dealer, and indeed, he was correct. I highly, highly recommend this jewel of a business. Just look at their impeccably clean, comfortable waiting room with amenities, which speaks to the care they put into serving their customers. read more

I could not be MORE DISSAPOINTED. A co worker at NBC suggested I use her mechanic for new brakes. I took my 2007 Lexus to chalards and he quoted me 1425.00 for pads and rotors and labor. I approved the work but luckily he could not repair my car and complete by yesterday. ( june 2 nd 2010 ) this morning I brought my Lexus to my regular mechanic and picked up my car a hour ago , leaving with a bill in the amount of 474.88. My mechanic said the rotors were FINE they needed to be resurfaced NOT replaced as Chalards said !!!!!!!!!!! Its my hope that it was an oversite on Chalards part. FYI my mechanic said for pads NEW rotors and labor the cost would of been 750.00 still a great deal less than CHALARDS !! RIP OFF read more

Well...Mr. Chalard is as great as others say. Took my mercedes in for a power steering line leak and to get the mirror lamp fixed...Mr. Chalard fixed the power steering lines at no charge (said they were loose and just needed tightening ...after the stupid dealer wanted to replace them for a ridiculous sum of money)...and just charged me minimal labor of $40 to replace the mirror lamp plus what the parts cost. AMAZING SERVICE , AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I first came awhile to get my Maserati serviced & it was smooth. Carlos used to work at the dealership so he was a familiar face to see when I came to work on my car. The price was AMAZING compared to everywhere else that services high end cars. With such an amazing time, of course I had to come back. This is now the only place I will take my foreigns to get serviced. Thankyou Carlos & Thankyou FAS! read more

I have been going to Chalard's for about 5 years now. My A/C compressor died at the beginning of winter. I got an estimate for a repair and decided to wait since the weather was cool. 3 months later I took my car to Chalard who fixed it the same day for half the price of the first estimate. Chalard has been my choice for a mechanic ever since. He is quick, very inexpensive, and can fix pretty much anything in one day. read more

All new OEM parts, which it legit needed. It wasn't cheap, but was done well for a fair price with good parts. Bonus they seem to be experts on the Astro van as well. They went above and beyond, cause I was on a timeline for a camping trip the next day. Very happy with their service. Will be back when next problem in my old car hits.

Unbelievable but a fact. I knew that my roof was broken as while trying to open it I forced it and heard a clicking sound that definitely sounded like breaking . Turns out the fella that was the mechanic that worked on my car specializes in German/european cars and knows these Porsches and their issues by heart .He knew exactly the source of the problem as it turns out to be common issue as these Porsche boxters age . Long story short . within the 3 1/2 hours of time that the car was at that shop they were able to source out the part that was broken, replace it, the entire convertible retracting mechanism was not only working but tuned to perfection working a smooth as it did 30 years ago. Completely unexpected from my shop that I pulled in to to ask for tools too force the roof shot. In addition he had looked at all things like filters liquids and levels, brakes etc. and it turned out that my brake lights were not working either. Happy but anticipating a hefty bill can only tell you that the biggest surprise of the day was the final bill . I WOULD NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO GET AN OIL CHANGE ESLWHERE FOR THE PRICE THAT THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE ENTIRE WORK . Their prices are so good that I already have set an appointment to come back for some performens upgrades to be done to the car . Upgrading the exhaust system , along with a new K&N filter going in to add some kick to my 30 year old beast ! Definetly referring with confidence .
