Sushi Platters

The food is AMAZING! Their service is top tier, they are always so welcoming! For the small area they have in there, they make it work perfectly. This place has been a staple in my family for multiple years! If you don't believe me just look at the pictures and go yourself!

This is now my new favorite sushi place in Katy! I felt like I never found a sushi place in Katy that served fresh sushi for a reasonable price. The quality has been consistent with all my GrubHub orders, therefore I knew I had to try it in person. It didn't disappoint! Everyone was helpful and the food was on point! I love it here! My go to orders are chopped scallop nigiri, sunset roll and salmon platter! Fair warning, the sunset roll has a thin slice of lemon on every bite and I was so confused and thought this was for esthetics. It literally compliments every bite!!

A nice little restaurant on the edge of Firethorne. Backdrop, my is down with the flu and all she wants is egg drop soup from Fusion Wok. I had never heard of the place though it was next store to one my favorite liquor stores. As a good hubby, I order her a double dose and add a few dish for me and my son. Now, Fusion Wok is one of my favorite places for a convenient Asian meal. Boosting both Chinese and Japanese dishes, the simple fair taste good, has decent portions and the staff is super friendly. I think I prefer their Japanese dishes but that's always been my way. My son and wife like their Chinese. My next trip I think I will try the orange peal beef.

Best Chinese food in our area. Thai options are a bit bland and would recommend you offering duck sauce packets with every order!

The most recent time we went, feels like they deserve 20 stars out of 5, ETHAN & Jess - superstars. The whole staff really, service is impeccable, dishes roll out super fast, they also take your plates away super fast as well. I assure you that you will be well taken cared of. Cute, modern interior, yall gotta admit, this probably the best we got in the west. ok down to business, my personal rec's I don't like the scallop here, I do like salmon belly, and their specials, so hearing the specials in the beginning is well worth your time. seared salmon belly, otoro, they actually change specials, so just let them tell you. DO NOT ORDER THE SPIDER ROLL - it's a big a* roll with a lot of rice, you're gonna go down. I would recommend ordering sashimi, nigiri first, then rolls at the end, unless you are under 30 with fast metabolism and can handle all those sauces and cream cheese. the paper menu says 3 rounds, but just think if it as waves, and the food will come fast. personally I like all salmon and shrimp tempura, have fun with the menu! and again, shout out to Ethan!

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

The service was wonderful and everything came out quickly. I tried the oysters which were my least favorite out of everything I tried. The onions take away the flavor of the oysters. Then I tried the unagi sushi and that one was okay it tasted like some other sushi rolls I've had. It was good it just didn't stand out. Then I tried the brown sugar scallops which the scallops are a big size and in like a thick soup like cream. It reminded me of clam chowder. I don't know if I would order it again but it is worth a try. I tried the foie gras and this was torched and I loved the texture where it melted in my mouth. However, the flavors were a bit weird I guess they're going for a fruity flavor but it just doesn't work together especially the dried strawberry on top. I tried the tomato kanapaccio and that one was good for a vegetable. I thought that blended well with all of the flavors. Then my favorite was the hamachi kosho it's spicy from the Serrano peppers but that kick is just what I needed in a hamachi. My next favorite was the miso cod. The miso cod had some bones in it but the fish was so soft and practically fell off the bone. The Brussel sprouts were good as well. It didn't stand out but it just tasted like other places nothing special. I also tried the sashimi belly flight, bluefin flight, and salmon flight. You can get these in nigiri with but I believe you get fewer slices(3 or 2) The belly flight was my favorite. It had 3 different fishes and my favorite on that spread was the o toro. The quality of the fish were tasty it didn't really have any flavors on it so do not expect a flavored fish this is just sashimi.

The weather will do whatever it will, but the menu remains seasonal with old favorites like the diced shrimp tempura (an absolute must), and new favorites. The fact that I could've been eating the broccoli katsu this entire time is absurd, and that white chili aioli can and should go on everything, especially the shrimp tempura. Quality remains consistent across the board and freshness was tasted at first bite of every dish. Service was great! Water was refilled without having to glance around, and though I couldn't get a midori sour today, my modified torched Paloma had the exact level of sweetness I wanted. As obvious as the casual polish present is, Tobiuo is such an approachable, welcoming establishment. Staff is so friendly and accommodating, allergies are even asked upfront so the meal can be appropriately modified, and the 2 - 5 pm happy hour menu is nothing to scoff at.

It would be worth trying if we were hungry and had a huge appetite. Hubby and I shared the tempura udon, the hamachi collar bento box, and he got some sashimi while I got the tamago and blue crab nigiri. The portions were big and generous and also reasonably priced. I like the udon a lot even though the broth was a bit sweet for me. The tempura was delicious and perfectly fried. The hamachi collar was a large portion but a bit dry. We're used to having hamachi collar that is more buttery than what we had at twenty five. The sushi was ok too. Wasn't the best we've had but we expected that so we weren't let down by the sushi.
