Interior (in front of the bathroom)

I was in the area for business and stopped by the area. Noticed this restaurant and decided to stop by for a quick lunch without looking at the reviews - now I see it's either really good or really bad. Plenty of parking and the owner has put a lot of thought into their interior designing - very pretty and very Houston-like with the astronaut LED light. Now, that stops there. I thought it was weird that there was someone mopping the floors when it's usually done as part of closing duty. Nevertheless, that didn't stop me from dining in. As my server was getting my water, I can hear the manager screaming across the room at him to hurry up and to help customers (there was another group that came in after me). My server was friendly and nice. The manager, with her lovely grumpy face, just yelling at all the staffs. Very unprofessional of her when it's not even busy so don't tell me stress is a factor. Beef yakitori - 1/5. Beef is not high quality l, I can taste gamy beef. Sauce is not good but at least they cooked it medium like how I like it at about $9. Spicy salmon roll - first bite was good but second bite and thereafter, you can tell it's old raw fish. 3/5 for being passable at $7.50/roll. Snow White roll - good but they used frozen shrimp and you can tell. It's small and there's barely any shrimp inside of the shrimp tempura. Overall, not bad but for $14/roll, I expect better. 3/5. Spider roll - first bite, I can tell it's old. At $10.99/roll, I wasn't too disappointed I noticed half way that there's a hair sticking out of the spider roll! I patiently waited for him to finish cleaning up a customer's massive water spill and flagged him down. He spoke to the manager on duty. He offered to make another one. At this point, I really didn't want another one. It's a day later and I still haven't touched it. It took them less than 5 minutes to remake it. Manager didn't even stop by the table to apologize. She should have, as a manager, instead of screaming at all her staffs member. End of story, they only charged me for the spider roll that I took home. Will I be back? Probably never and I'm glad I didn't order anything else to try. If you really enjoy sushi and been eating sushi for a while to taste the difference, I suggest you to just go to HEB nearby for better quality sushi. If you want the ambiance then come here. By the way, the ladies bathroom is highly perfumed so if you're easily migraine/headache-triggered by scents, be fast. I know why they do it but at the same time, it was overly-done. Luckily, I just went in there to wash my hands but still end up with a migraine. 2 stars for my friendly server, Jose, and for the interior design.

I cannot believe my favorite sushi place now offers an all-you-can-eat option. Lunch would've been $60, but it's now $24. -- eating lunch at Kamiya Sushi.

Good new place, I hope they get lots of business to sustain. Tha hamachi is generous portion for the price. I ordered salmon salad, also generous strips of salmon skin. They don't have salad dressing unfortunately... we tried a couple of tangy sauces, but not the same. My suggestion for the chef is to create a ginger citrus salad dressing for this!! Will come back to try other stuff on the menu!

My daughter and I stopped at a new sushi restaurant (Kamiya Sushi) for lunch in Fulshear, TX. The restaurant is very convenient off of 1093 and 359. Another sushi restaurant was also located there but it was not open for lunch. So the decision was made for us. LOL Prior to entering the restaurant, I noticed a sign that food can be delivered through DoorDash. Cool! Upon entering, only a few tables were occupied but it was 1:30, after the typical lunch rush. Great! We preferred avoiding the crowds. We were promptly greeted, offered a booth along with their lunch menu and full dinner menu. We ordered 3 sushi rolls (Naruto Special, Sky Diver and the Tiger Roll) plus Edamame to snack on while we waited for our sushi rolls to be made to order. To our surprise, we were quickly provided a small complimentary Holiday Roll (2 crab sticks sandwiching cream cheese and coated with tempura batter and fried). My daughter tried one piece but I had the rest. She doesn't like cream cheese, so I benefitted from that. More for me! LOL The Edamame came next. It was nice and hot, perfectly seasoned. Then the Naruto Special arrived. It consisted of tuna, salmon, yellow tail, crab stick and avocado wrapped in cucumber with Ponzu sauce. Just looking at the thinning sliced cucumber wrap made me recall an episode of Iron Chef in which Chef Morimoto demonstrated his mad knife skills slicing a cucumber. The Naruto Special was a work of art and delicious. However, fair warning, the cucumbers makes picking the sushi a bit slippery with chopsticks. No worries, that's what fingers are for, right?! Next came the Sky Diver Roll (soft shell crab, tempura, top with eel/avocado mayo and eel sauce) and Tiger Roll (spicy tuna and cucumber topped with salmon, avocado, crunch, eel sauce and masago). Both were delicious. It left us wanting more.... So we ordered another Sky Diver Roll and an OMG Roll. So Yummy! We ordered a Maki Lunch Special to go for my son-in-law. Fortunately, he made it to lunch before we were done. He just had to pop open the plastic tray and enjoy! Sorry for the photo, the sauce touched the lid so you can't get a full appreciation of the contents. It was throughly enjoyed! We will definitely come back!

My husband and I went here for a lunch date, and I'm happy that we did! We both ordered the bento boxes (chicken katsu and teriyaki), and we were impressed by the quality and taste of our dishes. Overall, I would recommend this place for Japanese cuisine. I look forward to eating more delicious food!

Another great meal here this time it was for lunch! Service was fast and our waitress was kind. We loved the complimentary holiday roll!! I also got a crab salad with seaweed added on top and it was so good. We tried the beef fried rice and it was great too. The restaurant is nice and clean too. Will definitely be back.

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

The service was wonderful and everything came out quickly. I tried the oysters which were my least favorite out of everything I tried. The onions take away the flavor of the oysters. Then I tried the brown sugar scallops which the scallops are a big size and in like a thick soup like cream. It reminded me of clam chowder. I don't know if I would order it again but it is worth a try. I tried the foie gras and this was torched and I loved the texture where it melted in my mouth. However, the flavors were a bit weird I guess they're going for a fruity flavor but it just doesn't work together especially the dried strawberry on top. I tried the tomato kanapaccio and that one was good for a vegetable. I thought that blended well with all of the flavors. Then my favorite was the hamachi kosho it's spicy from the Serrano peppers but that kick is just what I needed in a hamachi. My next favorite was the miso cod. The miso cod had some bones in it but the fish was so soft and practically fell off the bone. The Brussel sprouts were good as well. It didn't stand out but it just tasted like other places nothing special. I also tried the sashimi belly flight, bluefin flight, and salmon flight. You can get these in nigiri with but I believe you get fewer slices(3 or 2) The belly flight was my favorite. It had 3 different fishes and my favorite on that spread was the o toro. Except for the shrimp curry, the rest we've tried are pretty standard Chinese food with very nice plating. The overall dining experience though is simply amazing! Their menu is accompanied with vivid pictures and they enclosed their professionally done brochures in their to go bag. Additionally, I noticed the owner is acutely aware of customers coming in for their pickups. We waited so long to get our shumai that I didn't have time to order my favorite udon. What we did get (2 sushi bar rolls) in a timely manner was excellent (Crazy roll). When my sister finally got her Philly roll she said it was good. My husband got his 2 pieces of kani sushi about 45 minutes in. The restaurant was not crazy busy so the only thing I can figure happened was that the kitchen lost our order. People that came in after us were served long before us (sushi and kitchen orders). Our server told us she gave us a discount ($5) for the issues. (They're having a $5 off special right now for everyone so no real compensation for the bad experience...) With our current financial situation, we are limiting our restaurant meals and to pay $19.99 per person for the three of us was supposed to be a treat. Sadly, it was not. We are severely regretting our decision to stop in for lunch at Sushi 9 today.

I certainly understand and respect, investors or owners making every attempt they can to maximize the space that they pay fortune for, but what I am making reference to was this particular evening there was live music and the stage literally presented a challenge to entering into the dining room without tripping over something connected to the entertainment. The service was nice, however the server was not familiar with sushi, nor did she understand the bourbon which was in the old-fashioned, which is a special of the house and we arrived at a time where there weren't a great number of patrons and her pace was quite slow. Perhaps she was having the same challenges we were making her way around the dining room, and that may have contributed to it, but from a patron perspective, it was an irritant to an enjoyable evening.
