My wife and I ate here yesterday evening for the first time. The food was really good. We first started out with lettuce wraps as an appetizer. I had the Thai Mango chicken and she had the Happy Family. Both of us were very satisfied with our meals. It was seasoned to perfection and the restaurant appeared to be very clean. I think it's fairly new because I could still smell fresh wood and paint. I kind of wished our server would have smiled a bit more. Though she was very efficient and pretty thorough, she didn't seem to show a whole lot of excitement and made things a bit uneasy but I guess you can't have everything. We just moved here in Tamarron only 15 mins away from where we use to live over by 99pkwy, Kingsland, I:10, and Mason. I'm not one to give such a low star review, but I'm usually very excited to get Asian Cuisine because it's my favorite! Got excited to try this Fusion Wok down the street and the menu was quite impressive. I got the Beef Teriyaki Bento Box and my husband got the Thai Mango Chicken Lunch Special. My beef is tough and my husband is eating his lunch slowly which signals to me it's not very good. I told him I'm actually let down. He agreed, saying that this food doesn't have very much flavor. I plan on throwing away the menu I grabbed because we will not be ordering from here again. Miss the Golden Cafe by where I use to live, but if I don't make the drive out there next time I crave Asian Cuisine, then I'll just hit the Panda Express drive thru. read more

I could leave 0 stars I would. They watch you like hawks. You'll feel like you're in a zoo while you eat. They advertise they have duck meat. See urchin, or etc.. they don't have any of that they are a basic middle of the mall Chinese restaurant, and they are scraping by, the best thing to do would be to let this restaurant fail and let an actual restaurant take its place that knows how to run things were you don't feel like a specimen in an observation tank while you're trying to eat and talk to a love one/friend. If you wanna grab pick up from them, that's fine but it'll be mediocre. If this place will take things more seriously, it could be a decent establishment but that is not the case. I got the chicken fried rice with the Alaska and Philadelphia rolls. Food was great! The rolls tasted fresh and seemed like the ingredients were well prepared. The rice was huge. Placed an order for pickup tonight. Was ready on time, which I appreciated, and most of the items were still hot after my 10 min ride home. We ordered: egg drop soup and sweet and sour soup-both were pretty bland and the sizes were really a lot smaller than at other restaurants. I wish the sizes had been on the menu. General Tsao's chicken_spicy but not much flavor if that makes sense. Happy Family-again, no sizes listed and this is very small compared to other restaurants. Listed as having lobster, there was a teensy lobster tail on top in its shell. It stuck to the shell and was really only a bite once it came out. A bit misleading. Crab rangoon-filling was good but the outside was chewy and not really crisp. Egg rolls- again, bland. Pork fried rice. Good size but tasteless. Overall, I can't say any of it was bad, it just didn't have any spice or much of a taste. We've been pleasantly surprised by how good the sushi is here. I wasn't expecting much and this is WHY we try a restaurant more than once before reviewing. Fusion Wok has just gotten better each time and it leaves all but the best of sushi in Katy (like Sushi Neato) in the dust. Nice variety of rolls, fresh fish, well fried items, and a decent udon and fried rice. I have ordered delivery from Fusion Wok about a dozen times now, and I think it's safe to say it's become my go-to Chinese delivery in the area. Since I've gotten food from here so many times, I figured it was time to leave a positive review on Yelp. I have never been inside this restaurant, so I cannot speak for the dine-in experience. Delivery is always timely and my orders have always been correct. I've tried to sample a little bit of everything on the menu, and have generally been impressed with everything. It's subjective, but I find the classic General Tso's chicken to be the tastiest I've had in Katy. The sushi is very good as well and always tastes fresh. This has been a great delivery restaurant (plus delivery is free!) and I will continue to order from Fusion Wok! read more

This place opened last week, and it shows. Service has 2 speeds, slow and non-existent. The kitchen sends out orders in a strange way. We got 1 meal served at our table. The table next to use got 2 meals, the table behind us got 1 meal, the table next to us got 1 meal. Our second plate arrived 25 minutes after the first plate was served. One word sums up the food...boring. We made sure to order a few different items just to try the place out. The Miso soup arrived first. It was good. The egg rolls were vegetable grease bombs. Nothing but bok choy, no hint of carrots or the usual vegetable medley found in egg rolls. Mushy on the inside from the grease that soaked into it. The sushi arrived at the table slowly, but the sushi for the table that ordered after me arrived quickly. The sushi was a bit small for the price (not much filling, mostly rice). It tasted okay, but nothing special. The FM 1463 roll looked better than it tasted. The teriyaki chicken dinner was served fajita style, on a sizzling platter with lots of sliced onions. The chicken was bland. The teriyaki sauce burned on the sizzling platter and that made the chicken have a burnt flavor. The tempura dinner, that arrived long after everyone else was finished with their meal, was okay, but boring. No seasoning in the batter, on the food. The only help was the dipping sauce. Many times we asked the various servers when we would receive the tempura dinner and everyone always said it would be right out. Clearly the kitchen is not ready for prime time. When it did arrive, no one apologized for it being so late. They just didn't care. From the looks of it, we were not the only table to get slow service. The table next to us was having similar issues. Seems to be the norm right now. Everyone at our table said that we should have gone to Tsukiji. I really hope they get the bugs worked out. We need more restaurants on this side of town. We will wait until the reviews get better before returning. read more

My son and I had lunch 3/14/16 and food and service was very good. They brought us out a free appetizer sample which we ordered more of (can't remember what it was but was tempura fried). My son had Miso soup and the Shaggy Dog roll and both were good he said. I had Wonton soup and Kung Pao chicken with fried rice, lunch order. It was very tasty and quantity was enough for dinner. We visited this place the other day. It will also be our last visit. The staff was nice and attentive; however, the food was just bad. I left the vast majority of my meal uneaten on my plate. I ordered the Thai Cashew Nut Chicken at the waitress's suggestion. She said it was a very popular dish. I cannot figure out why. It was so bland and really didn't have many cashews in the dish.The fried rice was bad as well. My son got chicken nuggets and french fries. He ate all of his nuggets and I stole one of his fries. It was the best thing I ate. They were actually pretty good as far as french fries go. My husband got sushi. He said that he'd had better, but that it was pretty good. I can't vouch for it because I don't eat sushi. His experience is why I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1. If I want good Chinese food in the Katy area, I will continue to drive to China Cottage. read more

The pendulum swings very far with this place! First off the good: the sushi chef was excellent. Metuculous to design and taste. A feast for the eyes and mouth. Delightful. A true treat. Secondly, the staff was delightful. Our waiter was sweet and funny and enjoyed teasing our children. And the bad: the Chinese food was aweful. My family prefers fusion restuarants because I love Japanese, they love Chinese. They ordered the lettuce wraps (not horrible but certainly not tasty) and the Happy Family. The Happy Family sauce was watery and very much lacked flavor. A real bummer. Lastly, the price certainly leans to the higher end. Best Sushi I've had period. I'm not a Sushi expert by any means but this has to be the best Sushi I've had. Not only how good they taste but the presentation is amazing. I've been to this place with friends, family and even neighbors and it still impresses me every time they bring our plates. The use of LED lights and the artistic decorations with fruits or vegetables is definitely to be admired. So, if your order is taking a little long to be served, just be patient and wait until they bring their work of art. Then of course the flavors.... very well put together. Had a late night sushi roll craving. I saw Fusion Wok's reviews by other Yelpers, pictures looked good so decided to order from here. I ordered Tuna Amazing roll as a take home. Took it home and it was the most delicious roll I had after a long time. It was soft, tasty. You could almost taste the black peppered tuna wrapped on and avacado's flavorful in your mouth.
