We just moved from Atlanta where we had a favorite Poke' bowl spot. We would literally order from them 2-3x a week and knew it would be a challenge to find somewhere comparable up here. We were happily surprised when we tried Fusian! They may be as good as our old fave (Poke' Life) but we're still getting used to the difference in sauces. FUSIAN brings the Chipotle Concept to Sushi. You walk into the store, line up, and pick your fillings for your own custom sushi roll. Now if this sounds daunting, they do also have traditional sushi menu mainstays that you can choose from as a foundation if you are a sushi newbie. The nice thing about FUSIAN is that it's accessible as they have both raw and cooked proteins and they also have a gluten free assembly line. My go to order I usually seaweed wrap with brown or white rice depending on how healthy I feel. Then I go tuna and salmon with green onions, avocado, and cucumber. Top it off with some sesame seeds, spicy mayo, and tempura crunch. Overall, the quality is good. I would say it's better than store bought sushi, but not as good as a sushi restaurant. Unfortunately, I think they have the worst miso soup I've ever tasted. Their extensive choices on teas are also fun and good to try when you are there. Came here with my girl friend for dinner. As first timer I liked the set up. The place was empty and I notice some of the table were not well maintained as previous customer left messes. Very similar to chipotle style, you pick what flower your boat. I started with white rice and their wild caught tuna which I was surprised by. It looked fresh. If it's truly wild caught tuna, who would know. Anyways, when I was looking at other things to put beside protein, the avacado liked very questionable as it was brown looking and the staff was persuading me that it's "fresh". No thanks. Was craving some sushi and came I. To discover that this was a create your own sushi place! Awesome! They must have studied how that burrito place does their business because this is very similar. You start by choosing your rice and then your protein.. then you go down the assembly line adding vegetables and toppings. They also have really good seaweed salad! I love the fact that they are environmentally conscious as well. At the end of the meal there were separate bins for paper and plastic recycling as well as food waste. Pretty cool. Went here tonight for the second time, good service and yummy food. I got a salmon roll (double protein!) and a salad, reasonably priced (less than $15 for my meal). The rolls don't look very large, but are quite filling. The salmon was adequately fresh. I'm writing to let you know about the horrible customer service that I received at your Montgomery Road store. I put in an on-line order which I came to pick up and waited for. While I was waiting I got a phone call from someone at Informing me that my fusion order had just been delivered to them by mistake via DoorDash. I asked the manager of the store to remake my order and she told me it's not her problem. She can't make the food. I need to deal with door Dash. I took a half an hour out of my work day waiting for the sushi only to not receive it and be told that it's not their problem. If you're going to work with door Dash, you should be willing to correct mistakes when they're made because ultimately it's your name and reputation that are affected. For a quick, hand-rolled sushi, there is no better place than Fusian. The staff is always friendly and pleasant, as well as quick. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty and one roll is very filling. Fun topping is the faux crab. Also, ask for sweet soy, it really enhances the sushi. read more

How did I not know about this place? My stepson was trying to find a place to take his vegan step-mom, and I'm happy he suggested Fusian. The staff was patient and super helpful with vegan suggestions, as I was trying not to take up too much time in my ordering. My overall impression at looking at the choices was FRESH. I ended up with a seaweed wrap, brown rice, roasted tofu (nicely done, guys!), asparagus, avocado, carrots, with the sweet chili sauce. Wow, yum! We also shared the spicy edamame, which was perfect. FUSIAN Kenwood enjoys the same wonderful qualities that make the other locations so great (Weight Watchers-friendly; good, quality fish and vegetables; reasonable prices; large rolls; quick and efficient service; satisfying yet not too filling; and chic and modern decor), but they have somehow figured out a way to make its newest store and overall experience even better--something I never knew was even possible. The steak is actually a pretty good option I was surprised and something you won't find at most sushi places. Is it traditional sushi? Heck no, but not bad at all, it's fast and made to order. Also a nice niche is that its all custom made, as you watch it go down the line Also the rolls are much bugger than what you get at other places, I would normally order 2 or 3 rolls at other places but one roll here is equivalent. Not bad all in all. I was not a huge fan the first time I went but this place has grown on me. A lso the customer service is great quick to move you along, great for suggestions and have patience. Again if your looking for a traditional intimate sushi experience this place may not be for you. What can I say? I love Fusian! I have been many times and it is always so fresh! My 9 year old does love it too, and I dare not tell him I go without him or he would be devastated! My husband is not a sushi fan at all (mostly because he has never really had it). But Fusian is breaking him out of his shell. He will get a roll now with either tempura shrimp or steak, so that is a step in a good direction. Only complaint would be if there was a way to do online orders separate from walk in orders. Things have gone downhill. With the addition of bowls and wraps, service has changed. You get less veggies than you used to, especially avocado. Me and my partner ate here for the first time today and we both really enjoyed the food and the amount of customizability there is with the food (and lots of good vegan and vegetarian options, which is a huge plus!). Just ordered DoorDash from fusian and I'm so impressed! Some of the best sushi I've had! I love the "make my own roll" option. I ordered exactly what I've ever wanted in a sushi roll! I had the salmon as my main ingredient- which was very fresh. The sweet soy sauce was like a teriyaki type sauce and was yummy! As a native Californian, I've been missing poke bowls since moving to Cincinnati. I had no idea what this place was before walking in, but it was conveniently located so I thought I'd give it a try. Went here for the first time today with my m to celebrate Mother's Day and I must say we were not disappointed. They have a nice wide selection to chose from and it's all fresh. My mom had the soy wrap with tuna, mango, avocado, and asparagus. While I had the seaweed wrap with salmon, avocado, jalapeño, and asparagus (next time I will have tuna instead). And we got a spicy edamame to share all of this was MORE than enough. Also the prices aren't to bad for what your getting I recommend at least trying it they have more than raw foods . My husband and I came here for takeout dinner during the week, and it was moderately busy, but the line went through quickly. It was both of our first times there and I can't believe it took us this long to try it. We both got sushi rolls and added shrimp/tuna, with various veggies and sauces. The roll turned out delicious! The crunchy flakes on top were a nice touch. One thing I did not enjoy was the miso soup. It was incredibly salty to the point of inedible. My husband customized his own and he was also delighted. the sushi here is to die for and very good. however, the people who made my sushi roll were very rude. it was two younger girls working on a sunday afternoon. the place was filthy. i tried going to the bathroom and there were feces all over the toilet and on the floor. i went in right when they opened at 11am and the bathroom wasn't even cleaned? doesn't make sense. the tables looked like they weren't even cleaned because there were food crumbs and food all over them as well as the seats. i was very disappointed. this makes me think that the food isn't clean and cross contaminated. will never go here again. read more

I eat fusian @ least twice a week ... it'has always been great. Especially the hard working staff (Kenwood location ) !!! This past week ( Jan 28th,2019 ) the Chicken has been horrible. This Monday and Wednesday. They seem to be using ALL the parts of the chicken. The dark meat has been hard and unedible.
