Visited Tokugawa Japan to celebrate my fiancée's birthday. We were seated quickly and were waited on shortly after sitting down. We ordered the Lovers Dinner, which included two portions of fried rice, vegetables, filet mignon, lobster tail, scallops, and chicken. We also got soup and salad. The miso soup was the best I've had from a Japanese restaurant, it was great. Salad was good. Of course, the highlight of dinner was the grill and the proteins. We loved it all. Our chef did a great job and was not only entertaining but cooked everything perfectly. The filet melted in my mouth like butter, the scallops were perfect, and the chicken and lobster were great. The scallops and filet were definitely our favorites. Besides the food, I enjoyed the aesthetic of the restaurant, and it was clean and kept up nicely. I will 100% be returning to Tokugawa!

This is just like Benihana. The food was good. They do double grills. For example, our chef had 10 people and 2 babies, and the other chef had 4 people. There is no ambiance in the place. Reservations are through google or calling. We told them about a birthday but they forgot. The 1 year old had a party there. They don't do dessert or anything for birthdays except singing. Drinks were reasonably priced and on the strong side. Chairs are too packed together. They have a non hibachi side. Steak was overcooked. Chef split shrimp up wrong. If you ordered shrimp with your meal, you got 5, and everyone else got 2. The menu said 1 shrimp appertizer, so our shrimp went to the other people. The chef seemed to know the others, so gave all the extras to the large group. Sadly, they left it to be pitched. We would have eaten or taken home. Soup and salad were fine. SUMO meal filet, chicken, and shrimp was on the light side. Weird that veggies were done at the end.

Waiter was beyond rude during a lunch outing 3/4/26. Rolled his eyes, threw down soup and salad. Never going back.

Fun place for Hibachi and sushi. I liked the hibachi more than the sushi, but know others who prefer the sushi It's worth a visit!

The food was great, and what would hibachi be without a skilled and entertaining chef???

Amazing food, wonderful service, and the hibachi side is really fun! Their sushi and stake is both amazing, and atmosphere is amazing.

Simply the best in the area. The hibachi and sushi are both top notch. That's all that needs to be said.

Chris runs the place, and if kindness were a competitive sport his family would already have Olympic gold. Chris and his kids treat customers the way you wish every business in America still did..,,like you're a neighbor, not a transaction. You walk in hungry and leave feeling like you've been adopted. Now the food. The Thai dishes are the real deal, bright, balanced, and so good you start wondering if the chef has a secret tunnel to Bangkok. But the sushi? That's where things get suspicious. The fish is so fresh and high-quality it feels like the tuna signed a waiver before arriving. Their standards are higher than most politicians claim for themselves. The result: incredible Thai food, exemplary sushi, and a family running the place with genuine warmth. In a world full of chain restaurants that feel like airport terminals with menus, Chris and his crew built something rare, food that's excellent and people who are even better. Eat here once and you'll understand why regulars keep coming back. Eat here twice and you'll start wondering if you should just rent an apartment nearby. Cincinnati is lucky to have them. And frankly, so is anyone with a fork.

Steamed vegetables tasted like they were out of a bag. Lastly, the sauce barely tasted like tamarind. Was this worth $30? Absolutely not. Seared salmon was ok. The service was great. The place felt clean and seemed liked a good hangout spot.
