Not.... my favorite place... to go to have my favorite food... Started with miso soup, which is a comfort food for me. It was... not great... like 2/5. It made me sad. I spent some time looking for a specialty roll that didn't have crab. Settled on the citrus roll. It was arright, I guess. Also got the yellowtail green onion roll. It was arright, I guess. The cute thing was when I asked if they had iced tea, and the server said yes... then brought me a bottle of that non-Lipton tea you get from the gas stations. I mean... it did the trick. My partner and I celebrate our anniversary here every year, where we went on our first date! The server is always nice, cheerful, and attentive. This last time, she informed us she had to leave early and assured us the chef would take care of us for the rest of our dinner. The restaurant is small but I was thankful the set up blocked the cold draft from outside. We ordered several rolls to share and it was more than enough for the two of us. I've heard really good things about this place so we made our way to check it out and it was the best decision! The place is small but the set up makes it fell spacious and private. The atmosphere is comfortable and not just that but the service is above and beyond. I can honestly say that our waitress provided the best most friendliest service ever. She was sweet, welcoming and attentive. Moreover, the food was delicious! We had 5 rolls altogether. My personal favorite was the green river roll, it's a must try. We also had the fancy roll, the red dragon, the tempura shrimp roll, and the spicy tiger roll. All were flavorful and fresh. This is a great place! Great above and beyond food and service. The place has a good vibe. Relaxing and you're not rushed.

If you get ANYTHING here, you have to get the homemade ginger dressing. It is SO good, I even asked for a side with my sushi. The waitress was polite and informative. She didn't ask for my order too many times, which was nice. The sushi (I got two different tuna rolls) was tasty and had a great amount of fish compared to rice and other fillings. I also had a little carafe of their hot sake, which tasted like your run-of-the-mill hot sake. Since I'll be back in town for business, I'll be back here when I have a sushi craving. read more

The serving staff was very knowledgeable about their offerings and provided well-received suggestions. The sushi we ordered was deliciously crafted with yummy additions to classic favorites. The physical location itself was a little on the small end of the spectrum and felt cramped next to other present parties. I also found myself hyper aware of the occasional house fly zooming around bc the entrance is a single doorway compared to a double set to prevent insects and weather. We stopped here for late night sushi in the middle of the week after a lengthy Jungle Jim's trip. We were the only people in the restaurant (fair since it was 10:15pm on a Tuesday) but the staff was so warm and welcoming! Our server was super sweet and really made our night. The regular sushi rolls weren't cheap, but they have a half off fancy rolls menu that made up for it. The rolls were all good! The salmon was not the bright pink color I expected but the taste was good. We ordered a fancy scallop roll that I would highly recommend. This definitely isn't a fine dining experience but for fast, tasty rolls with good service (and I imagine they do a lot of take out as well) this would be my pick! read more

We came in at a non-peak time, 8PM Thursday, and they were pretty dead, but have been there for 6 years so it must not be the case most of the time! They have a half price roll menu that is always half price and averages $10-$12 a roll and you get 8 with most. The highest is a lobster roll for $15 when half off, not bad at all. The sushi bomb appetizer was so good! Only 2 pieces, but I would love to eat 6! It is a small piece of salmon wrapped around crab salad and avocado. The two rolls we shared were Sushi Dream Roll and Sunday Roll - both very good. I'd compare it to my other favorite sushi spot in Cincinnati - Ichiban - quite a compliment! I've been looking for a good sushi place near the West Chester area for a while now. Our go to spot closed down and after trying a few others and being burned by fishy-smelling sushi, we had given up on sushi near this area. We ventured into Sushi Samurais and I'm so giddy right now. This place was fantastic and I'm so happy we gave it a shot. We ordered the sushirrito ($11.25). It's a tempura chicken sushi burrito with a crab salad. The menu says its spicy, but it wasn't really. This was my first time trying a sushi burrito and I loved it! Add the yum yum sauce on top of every bite, drizzle with soy sauce, and finish off with ginger; it's heaven with every bite! For tester rolls, we tried the sweet potato roll (our usual goto to calibrate on whether a place is good or not) and the Hawaiian roll. The sweet potato roll ($4) wasn't anything to write home about. It tasted like a boiled sweet potato wrapped in rice. Not sure I'd get this again. The Hawaiian roll ($11.95) on the other hand was delicious. Fresh ingredients, not a hint of that repulsive fishy smell, and a great mixture of ingredients. Easily the best sushi we've had in the West Chester area. The ambiance of the place is more casual and laid back, and the staff are very nice. We read that if you come here during lunch, sushi is half off! read more

Second-worst sushi experience of my life! Rolls are mostly generic and bland. First red flag should have been the empty restaurant. Second red flag, there were messages all over the restaurant warning NO REFUNDS. Everywhere. In capital letters. Third red flag? Half price sushi rolls sound great until you see the menu and realize that the rolls are twice the price of an average, reputable sushi joint. Service was disinterested and shoddy, we were never checked on during our meal. I ordered an unsweet iced tea for my beverage... the tea was advertised as Lipton, but whatever I was served... it wasn't that. It wasn't even drinkable. Some kind of dirty, chemical taste? I didn't request a replacement; no refunds, and getting charged for a different beverage?! While the rolls were generic and didn't particularly stand out, the spicy shrimp roll was straight up BAD. Unfortunately I didn't noticed until my husband offered me a piece, but the shrimp in this roll was FILTHY. The shrimp was not deveined, and lines of filth were all over the roll. See the close up picture; I couldn't even attempt to pick it all out. But hey, no worries, no refunds! How is this place even in business?! We will never walk through those doors again. This is by far my favorite sushi place in the tri-state area! Definitely recommend!!! Always super fresh, flavorful, clean and with reasonable prices. The half-price sushi menu is always my go to! The young lady server I have seen there every visit is so personable and sweet. She recognizes me as a "regular" I suppose you could say, and remembers my favorites! Her great service is always extra tip worthy. Only negative, and it's not so much as to take a star away, is that I could personally do without the top 40 hits playing. I was very hesitant to take my husband here on a date night after reading the more recent reviews, and I can honestly say there's no way we ate at the same place as the people that were giving such poor reviews... When we walked in we were greeted by THE friendliest waitress ever. She explained the menu to us and promptly got us our drinks. We ordered three rolls off the half price menu. They were absolutely delicious. The presentation was adorable, I've never seen a plate so well presented at a sushi restaurant, especially one with half off rolls. We also ordered some Mochi for dessert. We had never had it before and it was so good! Again, the presentation was very pretty. Toward the end of our meal the restaurant got VERY busy, but that didn't change the attitude of the server. The next day we were already craving Sushi Samurais again, we will definitely be back. It's so worth the 40 minute drive for us. YUM! read more
