Forgot how good this is. We usually get a couple rolls each and do a bit of sharing i got the West chester and the Monday roll both are fried. Had never tried the west chester roll it was very good but big. This was a quick yummy dinner. Price is right. I am not great with chopsticks so I like the type that are attached and I keep them attached and use as tongs. My Asian friends laugh a bit at my lack of skill. But it works for me. read more

I tried the soft shell crab and it was disappointing , lacking in flavor and not worth the price. The sushi rolls were very good and full of flavor. Have been here twice! The first time, my boyfriend and I visited here on a Monday evening. Service was quick, place clean, and food was delicious! I really enjoyed the miso, ginger salad, and the tuna roll. One thing that was confusing was that the prices on the menu were higher than what was on our bill, which resulted in us not ordering as much, only to find out after the fact that the sushi was 50% off. As we were leaving, we noticed that there was a banner saying that the rolls were 50% off. I think it would be helpful if the server mentions this at the beginning in case others miss the banner like we did. After some research on their site, I realized that this discount is every day. It would make more sense if the prices were already discounted on the menu. We ended up returning about a month later and ordered the same menu items as the first time plus a cali roll, veggie roll, and Alaskian roll. Everything tasted great! One thing I did notice both times tho was that the staff's friendliness was simply alright. Both servers that we had were quite flat-toned and it was almost unwelcoming. I found this restaurant through Yelp and I'm so glad I did! This sushi restaurant was fantastic! It's not super fancy but don't let the outside/inside fool you. But, since I'm not opposed to trying new things, I really stumbled into a flavorful gem that is called Dolsot Bibimbap. I've never had anything quite like it. Served in a piping hot stone bowl that I believe is heated directly on the surface of the sun, this tasty entree obliterates what some may call a rice bowl. With your choice of Beef, Chicken or Tofu, this bowl is a combination of fried egg and vegetables served with a delicious side of Korean spicy sauce. Wow! Flavor overload. And, there's a lot of it so you may be taking some home. For the Appetizers, I've not gone wrong with the House Salad, Crab Rangoon, Calamari or, my favorite, the Gyozas. They offer dozens of Sushi Rolls. You'll find your favorites and also their list of Special Sushi Rolls. Always fresh, made to order and tasty. They also have a great selection of Nigiri and Sashimi. Beyond the aforementioned Dolsot Bibimbap, they have a nice variety of Entree's and Noodles to choose from as well. This is one of our favorite places to order sushi. Rolls are a little on the small side, but still great value and taste. We also always get the spicy ramen which is made in egg drop soup which is amazing. I do miss their old location which had a lot of character, but we still enjoy going to the new location often. Service is always good and we can usually be in and out relatively quick. Always recommend people try here when they say they like sushi. read more

Got Sunday roll to go and it was hot and delicious. I got another roll with lobster in it and it was fine a little fishy tasting.

Also the egg drop soup was oily. I threw all the food away after a taste of each. I want to start off with we have been going to this place for years. This was our go to sushi spot! But we went this past week and had a terrible experience. The waitress was rude, and didn't come greet us or even knowledge us until about 20 minutes for just sitting there. Finally she came over and took our order. And when we got our order the sushi portions were extremely small compared to what they used to be. Same price but half the sushi. It was a shame to see they cut the portion sizes so drastically. Don't listen to the negative reviews! I've eaten sushi for almost 25 years now. From buffet sushi to sushi on the coast I've tried and tasted it all. Dancing roll sushi is fairly priced, reliable, and the portion sizes are great! This specific location I have eaten at well over 10 times and have not had a bad experience at all. The sushi is prepared at the sushi counter basically in front of the entire restaurant. The miso soup that I've had there is always hot and tasty. All in all one of my favorite sushi spots in the Mason-West Chester area and will continue to come back in the future. read more

I love how West Chester is coming up and more restaurants are being added. When I saw Dancing Roll sushi, I was super happy. We finally decided to give them a try. I will say the sushi left more to be desired. We did order for take-out so maybe it is better to eat there. However, we stopped by the night before and they were packed and had a 45 min wait. I also do not like that they have a number listed here but if you call it's a recording with hours. You can't talk to anyone. It would be nice to be able to talk to someone for reservations, wait times, and any other questions one may have. We ordered Gyoza, Volcano Roll, Bengal Roll and Crunch Shrimp Roll. The Gyoza was not good at all for take out. It was dry and tasted like something that had been sitting under a lamp to long. The wrapper of the gyoza was chewy and dry. I'm sure this is better in person. The sushi rolls were just ok in my opinion. They weren't bad but they weren't anything special. I have had better sushi before. They also didn't do a good job wrapping the Crunch Roll. It was not cut all the way through and when I went to pick pieces up with the chop stick, it was falling apart. Overall, I just don't think their sushi is good for take out. I'd suggest you eat it there. I wasn't impressed with our take-out order. I'll certainly give them a try for dine-in. read more

The food has honestly gone downhill, the service is normally great but I recently went tonight and it was awful. The server asked us what we want to drink and if we wanted miso soup right off the bat. Fifteen minutes later she comes back to get our order and we still haven't gotten our drinks or miso soup( which was fine because we didn't order food yet). Anyways moving forward, we ordered the fried calamari because we wanted to try something new, chicken fried rice, and two shrimp tempura rolls. I will say Dancing Roll will always have great sushi, but tonight was a disappointment. The fried calamari was $7 and you only get 6 pieces of them. It was the toughest, chewiest, and tasteless calamari I've ever eaten...will not be ordering that again. I also felt like it was so slow and I didn't mind waiting but I wish we got served our soup, salad, and appetizer before our main courses. The ambiance of the place was also different because there wasn't many people there because of the bengals game being on, but there wasn't much noise, it was pretty quiet.
