Panini! This cosy restaurant near the Colosseum offers a great selection of paninis with high quality fillings. My husband and I shared a porchetta, tomato and rocket panino and a prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato and rocket panino, and they were delicious. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable!

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Very cozy small restaurant. They offer wide selection of food options and I ordered Villano panini, they got me at roasted pork. It was freshly made and delicious. I would repeat to try their popular menu.

This is a must try sandwich place in Rome. We ended up ordering their special- Villano panini that was made with Porchetta- roasted pork with tomato sauce, permesan cheese and black pepper for taste. Everything that was in panini worked all together and tasted so good! I was so glad we picked this place because panini was a party in my mouth. Very delicious panini in all the Rome. Bread was warm and meat was tender yet crunchy from the Porchetta. They know how to cook pork! Service was fast and I saw them making the sandwiches fresh. This place is clean but limited seating inside. I can smell their porchetta and other meats while sitting inside to eat their delicious panini. Highly recommended!

I saw this spot was highly rated everywhere for sandwiches, and thought it would be good for a quick meal before touring the Colosseum. There was a small crowd but it didn't take too long to receive our sandwiches. I got #16 which seemed pretty popular - porchetta, tuna mayo, and sundried tomatoes. It was served warm, and was a very generous portion! While there was a generous portion of pork, I did think it was a little bland - the mayo wasn't evenly distributed so the bites that were just pork and bread were quite dry. However, when all the toppings were combined it was quite good. I do think the bread could've been better overall though.

If you are in Rome and have no idea what to eat(which is nearly impossible), then give this delicious place a try. 5 minutes from the Colosseum sits a sandwich joint with a vast selection of combinations. The establishment is small and tight, but there is plenty of room outside to wait or eat. Seating is limited and first come first serve, but is easier to eat and walk. Staff are also friendly. We happened to stop on the way to our Colosseum tour and stopped on the way back. I highly suggest you visit at least once.

My wife and I stopped in here while in Rome. We heard that they have really good Porchetta, and after eating here, this was one of the best sandwiches we've ever had. We both ordered the Sedici #16 from the menu and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy bread, crispy pork skin and tender pork meat makes for an absolutely delicious food experience. It was super crowded when we first got there but it seemed most people were getting it to go. We managed to find a small table in the back. Highly recommend this place located close by the Ronan Forum.

We got a take away charcuterie board for New Year's Eve and it was awesome. The server was very helpful figuring out how much to get.

Wonderful owner/manager taking orders and treating people right. This place is one aisle long, seats about 12 people max. Most people getting it to go. The sandwiches are amazing - slightly thinner but tasty and great. I'd definitely come back here again.

Is 5 stars enough if you go twice in one day to the same sandwich place? Went to Fuorinorma for a quick lunch in between sight seeing and shopping. We had their eggplant, tomato sauce cheese and basil panini and the amatriciana - a saucy mix of tomato, crispy guanciale and cheese. Both sandwiches came out hot, crisp, and delicious. Their cheese boards look very solid, and would have been lovely with some wine. Unfortunately we didn't have time at lunch. Dreading options at the airport tomorrow for my flight home, I stopped over again at night to pick up a sandwich to go. It's that food!

Delicious, clean and cozy place near colosseum it was like homemade food ....fast service and calm staff

This was the perfect place to grab a quick lunch in rome! small dinning space, but it wasn't packed and there was no line. although we could've easily brought our paninis elsewhere to eat, it felt very welcoming and chill to dine in. Kind and friendly staff. We got the #1 and #14, meats and cheeses tasted great along with rich oil on the bread. my friend who doesn't like prosciutto liked it here, which says a lot to me! i would definitely go back!

This place has the best paninis I've ever eaten!! The staff is so incredibly friendly and passionate about their food - with everything made fresh as opposed to premade (like many surrounding food joints). It's a small, intimate store with seating available. Will be dreaming about the #8 panini (mortadella and olive paste) forever!!

A very nice and relaxing lunch today after getting away from the crowd at Vatican City. After resting a bit at the hotel decided to walk here for a quick Porchetta sandwich. Been craving for it since someone mentioned it yesterday and for a different reason didn't get to AngryPig near the Vatican, so opted for this place near our hotel. The two guys running the place are super friendly and I get to sit a spot watching all the action. I don't know if there's such a think as a bad prochetta sandwich in Rome as I have no reference point, but this one is really good. I wish I had looked at the menu carefully. Had I know that I could create my own I would have done that. Instead I got the plane version with nothing else on it. It's very very good but felt like I was missing something so I ordered a cheese plate. That was way too much for me....but can never say anything bad about Italian cheese!!!! Place is pretty small to larger group (more than 4) I suggest be prepared to do take away. Agree with other reviewers - definitely not a tourist trap.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and if you're sitting outside on a sunny day, the staff is very attentive about adjusting the shades so you're comfortable. They will adjust even without you having to ask. I ordered the artichoke as an appetizer which was very good, I recommend getting this if they are in season. I also ordered the carbonara, and it was by far the best I had while in Rome perfectly creamy, rich, and full of flavor without being too heavy. You can really tell they focus on doing the classics right. What stood out beyond the food was how efficiently the staff operated. Despite how busy the restaurant gets, they move quickly and keep everything running smoothly, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, this is a must-visit spot if you're in Rome. Expect a wait, but it's 100% worth it for the quality of the food and service.

By the time we were seated, dozens of people were waiting behind us. We sipped an Aperol spritz and lemonade while we waited, chatting with fellow diners who raved about the restaurant. On a sweltering day, our kids were starting to struggle in the heat when the owner came outside and gave them mini pizzas breads. It was a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Once seated, we ordered burrata, cacio e pepe, amatriciana pasta, pork chops, and fried artichokes. Everything was excellent, but the amatriciana was the standout--rich, savory, and unforgettable. The cacio e pepe was silky, the burrata fresh and creamy, the pork chops juicy, and the fried artichokes perfectly crisp. There's a reason people line up for Da Enzo. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere lively, and the hospitality remarkable. Without question, this was our best meal in Rome and one of our most memorable restaurant experiences.

I have never seen so much salmon on one plate. After our meal, I made a discreet phone call to the Norwegian embassy in Rome asking them if they still had any salmon left. Being new to Rome, and having walked 20k steps on our first day, there are an abundance of options a for dining. We wanted something classically Rome nearby to our hotel. The Yelp review of this restaurant was sufficiently positive to entice us. Being American, we appreciate the earlier-than-customary dining options. We arrived at 6pm without a reservation. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is intimate and very well staffed. The wood fire oven is front-and-center and the fresh mozzarella is prominent in display. We ordered a bottle of wine ... all options are very fairly priced. This is nice. We started with a Greek salad to share. It was unlike any American Greek salad ... and a really delight. It is early June but the tomatoes and peppers were ripe and crisp and really fresh. My wife ordered the Marguerite pizza; I opted for the Gorgonzola pizza (the effusive review on Yelp was compelling). Both were solid. We appreciate the thin crust and the crisp edged. The center of both, however, was doughy and somewhat undercooked. Looking around ... the restaurant was over 50% full even at this early hour. Most were Americans. We saw a good number of diners with pasta dishes ... and none were left unfinished. Sadly, we don't have any comparisons to weigh (yet). So, I cannot affirm any "best of" citations, it this is certainly a solid trattoria/pizzeria. The staff are attentive and the food served hot and fresh.
