Dinner on Monday night. Still real busy part of town steady line all night but can still get in. Super friendly service with a huge menu. We had the luxury of dining with locals. Started with the fired mix, bruschetta and focaccia. The fried mix was like arancini. They had one with beef, rice and cheese and the other was a potato and cheese mix. Perfect fry and the cheese was perfectly melted throughout. The focaccia was wam and soft with no need for balsamic or olive oil since it was baked with the perfect amount of oil. Had the amatriciana for the main course. What a treat. The pasta was a perfect al dente and sauce had a great creamy texture with a right touch of heat. Guanciale added great flavor and the right amount of salt to the dish. Finally, "when in Rome" we had to share the tiramisu for dessert. Amazing, incredibly creamy and sweet, of course the crunch at the bottom was outstanding. Good meal and great start of the trip to Rome.

Nice dinner for a party of 7. The server told us we would run out of space for dishes and he was right. Everything was good and comes out fast except our tiramisu which was a wait at the end. Fried artichokes had a nice flavor. Pastas were good as was the pizza. Nice affordable selection of wine and drinks. Tiramisu is creamy and different.

There were two lines - one for a table for two and another line for bigger tables. We were happy to get an outside table, but my husband's chair was at an angle so he spent lunch trying to keep his butt from sliding off. The waiter asked if we would like bread. It costs extra and there was a lot. Good rosemary flavor. I got the Carbonara and my husband got spaghetti with meatballs. Both came served in metal pans - no plates. My carbonara has nice, thick, round noodles but the flavor was highly salty and to be honest, it was my worst meal in Rome. The spaghetti had a nice, fresh tasting sauce but my husband thought "he had better" meatballs which was surprising. The tiramisu was more creamy, like a pudding. I am glad we got to try the famous Nannarella, but next time we are in the neighborhood, I will try somewhere els

This was our first dinner in Rome while traveling, and it was a great way to start the trip. Following our server's recommendations, we ordered a bottle of white wine, the Boscaiola pizza, and the Cacio e Pepe meatballs in a creamy white sauce. The wine paired perfectly with the meal, and the pizza was excellent. The meatballs were well prepared, though the sauce was a little too rich and creamy for my taste. Overall, it was a great dining experience with friendly service and a lovely patio ambiance. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in Rome.

I wanted to like this place but the experience was kinda soured by our waiter. I was excited to travel out to this neighborhood because I heard all the food was so much better. I had seen a lot of hype and good reviews online about this restaurant as well. There's a huge crowd waiting to get in but thankfully we had no wait. We ordered the rice balls and the pesto. The pesto came out fast and my friend ordered a white wine and got a red instead. This wasn't a big issue but our waiter made us feel like we didn't order enough. Sadly I didn't like the pesto at all. The pasta was super al dente and too salty for me. Then when we asked about the rice balls - there was miscommunication about the fact that we ordered it. Didn't like the attitude and honestly from there the experience was soured. I also ordered the tiramisu and it was delicious so there could be other food items here that are actually worth it.

Common spot in the Trastevere area with good Italian dishes. We came here for lunch and the line was already long at 12:30pm. Lots of room for seating inside. I think that this place has a lot of good dishes, but nothing stuck out to me. The carbonara was good but a little creamier than I would like it. The meatballs were good but had a cheese filling inside I wasn't expecting. It was good and a great stop for small parties to gather!

    Dinner!

I loved the food, the presentation, the People who served us. Everybody was so kind and nice. It was a short line, but we enjoyed a lot compared to the price and a lot of other restaurants. It was a fantastic experience while we stayed in Rome.

Where to start, while doing our research on some of the must visit restaurants to go, we stumbled on Nannarella. Came here twice during our recent visit, the food was one of our trip highlights. The place is old school with hint of modern touch, service is on point. We tried different varieties of pasta and other things on the menu, everything was just delish. By far, one of the best pastas we have ever had...and coming to desserts, please just that tiramisu, even if you don't like Tiramisu, you will loving it. Solid and must place visit when in town!!

Perhaps our favorite dinner in Rome--we wanted the excitement of the city so we went out at 9 pm and enjoyed the bustling streets of Trastevere. We were not disappointed. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated inside--brighter and less romantic than outside, but we also had fun talking with the people in either side of us. We ate: --caprese--this was not as delicious as the other versions of this dish that we ate in Rome but it was still good. The mozzarella wasn't as fresh and tasty as other restaurants. I'd pass on this appetizer. --flat bread comes out hot and perfectly baked. Get this! --lasagna--perhaps the best, lightest lasagna on earth. Best in show! --pollo alla romana--so good. The pepper covering the chicken during slow roasting made this dish sing. The fried potatoes and rustic tomato sauce were fantastic! Get this and prepare to share it because it's a lot of food. Service was outstanding. It was crowded but not stressful or chaotic. The team moved efficiently, gracefully and with purpose. Absolutely professional and friendly. We paid a bit more here than other restaurants in the area, but it was worth it. Also, we had a blast. Highly recommend.

Super good food and friendly staff. Good value for the price. Trastevere is a beautiful area with good people and Nannarella is no exception. Can't recommend it enough. The original Nannarella was one of my favorite meals on the trip through Italy. Tried many Hugo spritz and these were the best as well.

The food is simple Italian classics. Service is quick no frills. The ambiance is classic Italian Osteria. There is even a lady hand rolling pasta all day.

We went here based on the recommendation of our taxi driver. The restaurant seemed to be quite busy around 2:30 in the afternoon. However, our wait for a table for 2 was only about 10 minutes. We were seated outdoors, near the entrance under a tarp. After briefly reviewing the menu, my friend decided on pizza with a ginger ale and I chose the gorgo salad with water. It was a bed of arugula topped with smoked salmon, feta cheese, walnuts and orange slices. I guess it didn't come with salad dressing, however, for me this salad didn't really need dressing. The ambiance was chill and the weather was beautiful and sunny. It felt like a scene out of a book. Our Server was decent and there were no issues with our order. My friend did question whether or not her pork sausage was raw or cooked. I think was just a matter of appearance in cooking styles as we are accustomed to browning meat. Both meals were good. The total was 34 euros including 2 euros for water and 2 euros gratuity automatically added to the bill. I would dine there again and recommend dining here at least once.

Came here with my husband the first day when we were in Italy. I'm not sure what's the hype about this place. It was mediocre in my opinion definitely not worth the weight and the cost. I didn't like how their pasta tasted! My husband got pasta, and I got the lasagna, which was better. Still not impressed with the food. I would not wait for this. I would go to another local place.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

You can pair your dishes with an aperol spritz or mini bottle of wine for less than five euros. The pasta was about nine to eleven euros and the portions were more than plenty. The chef and owner are super nice and very informative about their dishes. If you are a fan of spice you have to try their chef-recommended dish.
