This is a woman/black owned business This place is quint and plenty of space for parking which is important to me. The staff was friendly and cool The highlight of the show was these funnel cake. Every funnel cake was as delicious but babyyyyy that churro funnel cake..... I will drive two hours for it. It was one of the best desserts I have ever had. Pictures do not do it justice. The price is a little high but definitely worth it. A mini funnel cake was $10. The mini is perfect for kids or one person. 1000/10 definitely recommend others go and support this business.

My daughter and I were in Durham looking for something sweet & finally checked out Funnel Me Crazy!! There's plenty of parking in the lot. It's located in a strip with other businesses. We were waited on right away and decided to just get one regular size to share. They have 3 size options. They make them fresh to order. There's about 4 or 5 tables inside to sit, which is a perfect option since they are yummiest, in my opinion fresh out the fryer. There aren't any outside seating areas. We managed to get a table right as our order was ready. Every bite of the butter pecan funnel cake we ordered was delicious. We chose to get the ice cream on the side, but it would have been great on top as well. Great service.

First time going and they were delicious!! The mini's are a perfect size! Better than the fair funnel cakes! That vanilla bean ice cream was a game changer.

We had an impromptu meet up and the funnel cakes selection were on point. I tried the strawberry and banana and it was delicious.

Very very tasty and delicious. I loved this funnel cake, it satisfied the sweet tooth and it was warm and fresh. I love the creativity this place has, as the funnel cake options are endless. As an avid cookies and cream fan, I had to stop by and try this and I see the hype! Great service, great people and inviting atmosphere!

Found this hidden gem in Durham when I was looking for desserts. It is definitely hidden away from a lot of other businesses but looks like a great family run business. They have a lot of different funnel cake options and I landed on the snickers funnel cake. It was perfectly made with a scoop of ice cream on top. Lots of different funnel cakes and fried Oreos to try for next time. They also have different lemonades to wash down the funnel cakes if interested. The atmosphere was good and plenty of seating to eat there. The staff was very helpful and the desserts were fairly priced. Overall, would suggest trying this place out. They also have various deals throughout the week you can check out if interested. Will be back to try some of the other funnel cakes.

Funnel Me Crazy is a tasty little shop serving that state fair favorite, funnel cakes, all day! Located in a quiet little, mixed use plaza, there's no signage outside beyond the logo on the door so look out for it. Inside the space is super simple, counter order, fryers and prep area, you order either a regular or deluxe ($10 or $12) in twelve or so flavor options along with some lemonades. Wait a bit as your funnel cake is freshly fried and you can nom on your dessert at one of the seats ringing the space. My peach cobbler funnel cake was delicious. Peaches tasted fresh and the vanilla ice cream was good quality. Given the freshly fried funnel cake and ice cream combo, you should eat your order as soon as possible but be aware, there are no tables inside given limited space. Just single seats around the periphery. Overall I like what Funnel Me Crazy is doing, their funnel cakes are solid along with their toppings. If they can figure out how to add some small parlor-type tables, I think the whole experience would be much improved.

Worth checking out!

Came here 7/22/23 (happy bday Gabriel) after a flight from Philadelphia, I pass through NC on business and always have this place on my to try list and never got the opportunity until today heading to SC with my husband. My husband doesn't have much of a sweet tooth so only me and my kids tried the funnel cakes. Price point: 4 stars: for a large funnel cake it's going to set you back $13. It's theme park prices but it tastes better than a theme park. Crafted lemonades are $5 and bottles of water are $2. Taste/quality: 5 stars: the funnel cakes are good, very delicate in flavor, not oily/greasy, and light. We got the peach cobbler funnel cake and it was very good. My only complaint is it could've been a little more stewed Peaches on it with sauce. Just a smidgen more. I would recommend getting the ice cream on the side unless you like melted icecream. I'm a texture person and I don't like melted icecream. I wouldve tried the strawberries and cream but we are trying other food places today before we head back to the airport. Cleanliness: 4 stars: you will most likely have to clean up behind the ppl who sat at the the tables before you. There is indoor seating but depending when you go you may have to eat in the parking lot. Customer Service: 4 stars: the young man who serviced us was very polite and basically just took our order. He didn't explain the menu or ask if we were first time guests. He could've really up sold us on buying more since we were first time customers. Like saying is this you guys first time in? Are you hungry or want to sample? I wouldve said both lol and he could've easily sold us on 3 large ones vs the mini we tried and were satisfied with. I do think management should offer 4 sampler minis for a set price and I'm sure they would sell more. Idk if they do this, I didn't see any signage. Overall: if I'm ever in this area again I would come back and try the other menu options. It's worth trying out if you live in NC and don't mind the drive. It would be nice if they had some outdoor seating but I understand why they cant/don't. It's a great place to check out! I do recommend you getting the $13 although I didn't get it. It's more value than a mini.

Came in for a little treat and my taste bugs danced the entire time! We ordered a regular and strawberry cheesecake funnel cake and both were delicious. The funnel cake has the perfect crunch and is filled with flavor! We also tried their crazy lemonade and it bomb! Service is was great no problems. The ice cream on top of the funnel cake was wonderful! I could eat it alone. The inside is small, clean and welcoming

Had a taste for a funnel cake so I came here. I've been here a couple times before but have yet to make a review on it. You can't really go to wrong with funnel cakes. They are so fun and remind me of fun times at the state fair. This place has a few different options. I've tired the snickers, peach cobbler, and the tella n strawberry and they have all been tasty. The service is slow there, but they also have a sign up to say give them some patience as they are understaffed. So that keeps me from being too on edge. It's small with a few seats and not much of a waiting area. So I always get my order to go. I feel like this is a lucky addition to Durham because there are not many places you can get a tasty funnel cake.

I had to try it first

Soooooo freakin delicious . Oh my gosh I will visit again for sure. The customer service was great. The music was good and the little tables were cool to sit and eat. The place is clean and you can see them making your order. If you like funnel cake, if you love funnel cake, you got to try this place out. You won't be disappointed.

A classic mini!

Sooooo this wasn't really a planned trip, but I found myself on this side of town cravings lil something sweet and thought I'd give this place a try, and I'm glad that I did! The employees seemed happy to be here and were engaging when I asked about the most popular funnel cake. I decided to keep it simple, and got the classic mini and it was really quiet good! Thanks for a sweet treat!

Finally had a chance to try Wheat this week and boy was it worth the wait! We had minced beef…read morenoodles and braised beef noodle soup. Also got some pork dumplings. I tried a lemon/lime drink that was very tasty and refreshing. The restaurant was super clean. We were seated and orders taken quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Our food was very delicious and flavorful! Portions were perfect- not huge but not too small either. The waiter talked us into dessert since they make some homemade on site. I tried the tiramisu cake- yum! Prices were about what most places are charging for entrees now. I'll be back!

We waited for a bit, and eventually someone approached us, but that was a little annoying. Service after that was fine and relatively fast. Food-wise, I got the Home-style braised tofu and Mango pomelo sago. The tofu had a savory sauce that didn't have a ton of flavor other than braised soy, but did have lots of well-cooked veggies and large tofu pieces. At some point they ran out of rice, and the rice they did give me a lot later was unfortunately overcooked. The mango pomelo sago was really good actually, perfect amount of sweetness, strong mango and pomelo flavors, nice texture from sago. Ambiance is nice. Parking in this area is a little limited. 6.5/10 would maybe recommend.

"Great milkshakes right behind the Durham Bulls stadium"…read more Behind the Bulls stadium, next to Moe's, sits this little treat. We came on a Friday evening at around 7pm, and there was no line (though a few people came in right behind us). The place is bright and airy, with some seating, and a great counter showing a selection of chocolate treats and the menu of milkshakes. I was delighted that they had some dairy-free milkshakes, given my lactose intolerance! And 4 choices no less! They of course had fancier flavors in the dairy set, more complex than CookOut (which I love). My girlfriend and I got the lactose-free cookies and cream milkshake. They fixed it on the spot, so we got it in maybe 2 minutes. Service was friendly-- they were patient with the customers behind us who were a bit unruly (more playful unruly than rude). One word-- DELICIOUS. Not too sweet, but just right. I've had some weird dairy-free milkshakes with a grittiness or chalkiness, but this was straight-up like how I remember the real deal. It was thick too, and unlike CookOut, they gave you a thick straw so you can actually drink with it. Why 4 stars and not 5? The price was a bit steep. With a $1 tip, this one shake (which was reasonably sized but far from huge) was over $10. But for the quality and selection, I do think it's "not unreasonable". Worth the try, and worth it for a special treat!

And it all started way back when being sold from a bicycle that was converted to dispense coffee! My spouse had an Americano and I had the Amalgamation cold brew tea when I saw someone walk by with it. He said it was very tart, but I thought I'd try it anyway. It's Very Heavy on the hibiscus tea, which is all I could taste, in spite of lemongrass, peppermint, orange peel, and cacaco nibs being in it too. I had some honey added, but that wasn't enough to temper the tartness so added some sugar, which only had a little effect. It wasn't until I added some half and half that it became better. That's my taste buds. Anyone else's may be different, but with or without the cream, it's a very pretty drink. We brought the cinnamon roll home to have later, but it smells divine. BTW, I love the small tables. Colorful and very intricately painted.

It's near the college and medical centers so I'm not sure how the parking is. For us, we walked. Location is clean, and the staff was nice. Experience: cookies are super expensive! They literally had menu items - 6 cookies for $26 plus tax! To me, that was disgusting. On top of it, all the cookies were nasty except for the confetti one which was delicious! I did eventually get a cookie, which was okay. It was undercooked in the center, if you're into that. Still, decently overpriced. Unfortunately for me there was also a piece of tape or plastic baked into the bottom of my cookie. Overall very not worth it and will not be back.
