Fun soft serve ice cream place in downtown Durham. I had a vanilla bowl with chocolate dip and sprinkles. The dip was not quite sweet enough for me but I loved the soft serve. My husband had the ice cream nachos with butterscotch dip and rainbow sprinkles, Our favorite part of these were the waffle chips. Would highly recommend that dish. The shop is cute but got very busy while we were there and there was only one employee. I felt really bad for her because she got swamped but she handled it well. Overall cool concept. Plenty of flavor choices of dips along with toppings. It was honestly a tad overwhelming since we walked in and instantly were at the counter where you have a couple sheets in front of you and have to instantly choice what you are looking for. The servers were useless in this process and recommend to look at the photos around the store for inspiration rather than have a conversation. We weren't given a choice of what size or explanation of everything even when we said it was out first visit. Overall my fruit pebbles overpowered any key lime flavoring. While I liked the concept, I don't foresee a return trip on a visit. read more

This place is adorable! The decor is very well done. The cone was absolutely delicious. I chose a premade option and ordered the peanut buttercup. The unique parts about this place are the option for a core as well as tons on flavored dips. The service was great! We went when there was a bit of a line on a Saturday, and they were very efficient and helpful with the service. They also have stuffed cookies. I caved and bought one, but I haven't tried it yet. Really fun and unique ice cream experience. They only have vanilla (or dairy free vanilla) but tons of dips and toppings. I got the Tiramisu Dip in a cone. It started to drip right away so I put it in a cup and it was more managable. They have some cool swings in the front of the store which would be fun if you were there with a group of friends and want to create IG posts. I'd like to go back with a friend or two. read more

This was good ! Haven't been since I wanna say 2024 however when I went they had many flavor options , I got vanilla ice cream in chocolate dipping with chips topped on it ! Nice sweet and salty combos and various other flavors to try and combine. Customer service was okay at that time , I would go again just to see how it is now but I didn't really care for the cashier at that time. I was really looking forward to this place because I've seen it advertised all over social media, but I wasn't too crazy about the taste of my ice cream. It's a cool concept where you can create your own combination of dips, cores, and toppings. They do advertise some of their own creations and that's what my husband and I did. He ordered The MVP (cookies n cream dip, fudge core, and crushed Oreos) and I ordered The Brookie Cone (brownie batter dip, cookie dough pieces, brownie bits, and fudge core). The brownie batter dip on my ice cream had a weird aftertaste - like coffee. The vanilla ice cream also lacked flavor. I couldn't taste any vanilla flavoring. I tried my husband's ice cream and his dip was much better than mine. Despite the ice cream, the staff was very friendly and worked quickly to get our order completed. I got the vanilla soft serve cone dipped in cookies n' cream. They have like 25 different dips to choose from, so you can try something new every time. I thought the amount of ice cream was good for the price. The shop is small, they didn't have that much seating. They specialize in soft serve ice cream that you can customize with cores (stuffed toppings in the ice cream), dips, and toppings! The dips range from peanut butter, chocolate, butterscotch, pistachio, and more! The ambiance inside is super nostalgic with sprinkles and fun posters all around. We wanted to try a wide selection so we got a peanut butter dip with a chocolate core all topped with butterfinger, a pistachio dip with fruity pebbles as a topping, and a cookies and cream which was one of their House specialities! All were deliciously creamy and flavorful - the soft serve was some of the best I've had in awhile. In addition to ice cream they sell massive cookies with funky flavors. Service is fast & ambiance is good. It is in the middle of downtown so free parking might be difficult to find, unless you go on the weekend. So tasty!! I've been wanting to try this spot for awhile. They are closed Sundays, which is a total bummer, but luckily we were able to stop by on a Saturday. SUPER fun place: You walk in and you're hit with menus and excitement. You have a few choices: vanilla, chocolate soft serve, sizes or a cheesecake popsicle. Then a core: a filling to your soft serve. Then a dip: there are SO MANY! Fruity, chocolatey, fun-black sesame, cheesecake, cherry, chocolate orange and more. THEN toppings: you can get up to three. Yes I was overwhelmed. Lucky for me, I checked out the menu before, as well as the IG. I decided on a regular vanilla in a dish (I'm a mess) with a fudge core, passion fruit dip, and dried strawberries and chocolate pearls. INCREDIBLE: really LOVED the tart passion fruit against the rich fudge and chocolate and sweet strawberries. I will say it was a lot: I honestly would rather have a little less ice cream so there was a nicer ratio of dip to ice cream. My partner in crime got vanilla, butterfinger dip, butterfingers, Reese's pieces and pretzels: she said her mouth was tired from all the chewing, and probably wouldn't get that combo again (sweet and a lot!) We also got some freeze dried candies to go and lol they are a trip! The place is cute: a few tables, swings, and the counter. They offered tap water or bottles when we asked for water - that was nice! I think the only think keeping it from 5 stars was the overwhelm of choice (I'm glad I looked ahead) and the ratio with getting it in a cup-maybe a cone would solve this? I will be back! I'm new to the area and heard a lot about this shop's dipped ice cream - however, I didn't realize that it was custard, not standard ice cream, until I got there. We both ordered vanilla custard with Oreo dip and Oreo toppings - can you tell we love Oreo?? The first couple of bites were tasty, but I felt very heavy any sluggish about half way through my custard. It's possible that a different combination of dip and topping would've been better. SImon Says Dip This is probably (read: def) the silliest named ice cream shop I have ever been to. But boy howdy am I glad I pushed past the name to experience this fun concept.
