Booked two scoot coupes online the day before and when we arrived, only one was running.... Barely. There were four of us, so the employee gave us a golf cart in replacement of one scoot coupe. Fine. Whatever. Not as fun, but okay. Brakes didn't work, so that was exciting. Half way through our rental of 4 hours. The scoot coupe stops. In the middle of an intersection. Quits running. So we had to push it out of the road and onto the sidewalk to get it out of the way. I called the company FOUR times without an answer. We sat on the side of the road for about 20 minutes and it finally started. Great. Let's just go back to the rental place and drop this POS off. Halfway there, the stupid thing loses throttle and it literally is going 2 mph down the road. Finally made it to the rental company, and I explained our issues. I got, in return, "sorry to hear that. But did you have fun?" Ridiculous. I will NEVER rent from this company again, and I hope that this review saves whoever is reading this a lot of money and headache. Rent at your own risk. DO NOT visit the northernmost site on Roosevelt Blvd. this location is run by an old crotchety cantankerous rude Caucasian male. Not only was he not very helpful but he knew that I had rented a golf cart from this company but not this particular location as I showed him my email receipt. I am currently maimed due to a fractured tibia I still walk with a cane and he saw this and instead of offering to take us to his second location which was about a mile and a half south he actually told me to walk over there which I did. If you must use this company I strongly suggest you go see Max at 1800 Roosevelt Boulevard in front of Miami subs. It's the same company the same prices but Max is 110% better to deal with than that old guy. Max is very kind helpful understanding and full of information. Be careful when renting here. The price listed doesn't include the items like insurance and deductible waivers, however you will be charged for these and there is no opting out. A one day scooter rental will run $90 not the listed $65 plus tax. I reluctantly agree and rented, there was the only 2 scooters that didn't have front break handle broken. When I test drove one of the two "good" scooters, the front wheel was so out of balance I returned it. The employee said all their VIP scooters have that problem. I declined to select a different one and was promptly given a refund. My solutions, I went further down the street to Sunshine Scooters and rented a new one for $58 per day. A TOTAL NIGHTMARE. i don't even know where to begin.. i don't know if this was the owner or employee but upon arrival the guy was extremely rude to my friends and i . we were there to celebrate two of their bdays and were in great moods and very happy and polite . this guy said he was going to " take his sweet time looking for a golf cart for us "( even though we had a reservation booked months prior), which i got upset and asked why?!, he said something along the lines " to make you prissy bi*ches wait " - we were SHOCKED and said we were taking our business elsewhere and then he SPAT at us - this is during COVID too. if he spat on us this would be a felony in FL. not to mention to disgusting, disturbing and unsafe . we called the owner , who as far as we know , could have been the same insane individual we encountered . they said they would refund us. they never did . i had to make a claim and i also reported them on the better business buro since this dude spat and got aggressive with a group of kind natured young woman. honestly this place is shameful. We rented two scooters. It took a bit to get used to but they were fun. A couple points however. The scooters could use some maintenance. The one I drove had a damaged cowl over the controls and I had to reach under the dash to disconnect an electrical connector to get it to stop. A warning about the fact there is no reverse would be helpful as well. read more

I give this company 0 stars my wife just rented with this company today and the golf cart broke down in the middle of the street and she needed to have help from others to push the cart off to the side of the road. She called for help and of course no one picked up, she finally received a call back and they brought out another cart, when she returned the replacement she complained about being stranded with the cart, the person at the desk was rude and made crude remarks to my wife that were unprofessional and are a poor representation of the company he works for or owns. I strongly suggest that if you plan on renting from Fun Rentals I'd do my research and go to the next company on your web search. We rented multiple scooters via the Fun Rentals website which states that they WILL train you to ride the scooters. Upon arrival the staff was extremely rude and insisted that you needed prior scooter experience. We had done our due diligence when making the reservation and wish Fun Rentals provided accurate information on their website. This was the most affordable and available golf cart rental. The location is a small shack staffed by one individual- who was extremely helpful and set us up. One issue is the golf carts are not in the greatest shape (there are some high end custom ones riding around) but they are the most reasonable on price and the rental pick up/drop off was the easiest. read more

I purchased a brand new VIP Scooter on March 1st and at 600 miles it broke down. I was told there is nothing they can do about it because they are sold AS IS and I should find a mechanic myself to have it repaired. So I did and paid for it myself and now it has 1200 miles and yet again it broke down after paying almost $200.00 for a new carb again 2 days later it broke down again so I took it back to tje mechanic and paid to have it fixed and here we are 3 times just this week and guess what it broke down again. I have paid more money to have this piece of shit scooter repaired then I actually paid for the scooter itself. Both mechanic shops I've been to have said that they have an over flow of these scooters being repaired. I understand these are cheap scooters but to have to pay 1,000.00 in repairs with an the first 1,000 miles is not acceptable and the fact that the company selling them are not offering any type assistance with these problems is unacceptable as well. I rented a four seat golf cart on July 5th with a pick up time of 12. We showed up at the location and no one is there, and no available golf carts are located at the location at the time. I called Jake and he told me that people were late returning golf carts and that it would be delayed. An hour went by and we heard from Jake and it would be more time and he would let us know. At 130 i called Jake and he said he had a 6 seater coming back sometime soon and we could rent that, That they wouldn't have a 4 seater for the day. i told him we were two people and we really only wanted a 4 seater because a 6 seater would be like driving a bus. Jake had many excuses and was short and rude. I requested since they couldn't fulfill my rental agreement that i would like a refund and Jake said no and was coming up with many excuses. We rent every time we are in Key West from Patrick. Super easy going and nice guy. You can call and reserve early. We have probably rented from him at least 6 or 7 times.
