I'm a crazy planner but I knew our trip was coming up. The first time we booked them, our reservation was much closer to our visit. They proactively texted me about the timing to drop off the bikes and confirm our reservation. This latest visit, I realized that I didn't get that text so I ended up proactively contacting them the night prior to ensure a smooth drop off. I think they may have forgotten about my reservation. Regardless, they managed to get everything in order and drop off the bikes (even if it was probably a little last minute). They bring helmets, bike locks and can add on child seats for the little ones. I ended up extending my reservation with a simple text and it was no issue and they autocharged my credit card on file. What's so great about Key West is that it's compact. I was able to just use the bike during my entire stay and didn't have to move the car once from the hotel parking lot. I'd definitely use this bike rental service again.

First off -- you do NOT need a golf cart or a car in Key West. Seriously... where are you going to park it? The bikes made everything easy, fun, and stress-free. We rented kids' bikes 13- and 10-year-old and I rode a standard beach cruiser, which was great... but my wife insisted on the Cannondale comfort cruiser. I tried hers for about 30 seconds and immediately realized I made a huge mistake! That thing was smooth, comfortable, and awesome. I was definitely jealous. They made everything so easy. They dropped the bikes off and picked them up, so there was zero hassle. Awesome bikes, awesome service, and exactly what you need. We'll definitely be renting from WeCycle every time we come back!

9-26-2022 - Key West was our first stop on an Eastern Caribbean cruise…read more I researched bike rentals ahead of time and found this business conveniently located on the cruise ship pier, you literally walk right past it. It's a small white shed type of structure with a window. The rental process was quick & easy. You sign your waiver and pay (rental fees were very reasonable). I believe you can also reserve on their website ahead of time. A hurricane was on its way to the area so I chose to wait until the day we arrived to rent. All the bikes are lined up on the bike rack a few feet away. They all looked to be in great condition, each one had a basket and a lock included. It wasn't very long before we were on our way. Pre-cruise. I made a list of places I wanted to see in Key West, it helps to be prepared. Some of the stops we made were: Fort Zachary Taylor, Southern most point, Edward Knight pier, lunch at Old Town Mexican cafe, Hemingway house, Key West Lighthouse, Maritime museum, Sculpture garden and more. Bike racks are located all over town. Every place we stopped there was a convenient spot where we could lock our bikes up. We found a CVS, made some purchases and our bike baskets came in handy at that time. It was so easy to get around the city streets are very bicycle friendly, even the drivers were courteous and friendly to the bicyclists. It was the best day, we stayed out until the very end. Loved the freedom to quickly move around the city and also enjoyed some great exercise to balance out all the cruise food. We had a perfect day. We were the last bikes to be returned that day. We went back to the white shed on the pier and no one was there which was a little confusing at first, but then we read the note on the window that said to go to the coffee shop a few steps away to return the keys. Easy rental return and we were back on the ship quickly.

A few weeks ago my wife had a flat tire and I took her bike to Island Bikes to have it repaired. They fixed it but a week later the same tire went flat again. When I took it back there the employee who met me outside their little compound was very rude. He said "we can't help you because we are too busy". When I explained they just repaired my bike last week, he said "flats happen all the time, so take it somewhere else". This was the rudest sales person I have ever met in my life. I will never go back there. The I took it to Eaton Bikes and they were so helpful and friendly. My bike was ready in a few hours. When the tourists are all gone, these guys at Island Bikes are going to have a tough time staying in business with this crew they have.

I was told by Morgan that if I brought my bike in first thing on my appointment day, that my bike tune-up would be complete in 2 to 2 and a half hours. They would text me first with an assessment of what needed to be done and the estimated cost. About an hour and a half went by, and there was no text to me from the shop with an assessment. I tried to just get an estimate on completion, not argue my way to the front of the line. I had to call again after 2 hours to find out that they had not made an assessment yet. Next, they were angry that I asked for an update on when the bike might be ready. If they had not assessed the bike in 2 hours, it did not seem unreasonable that the work would not be complete in 30 minutes (after it took them so long to assess whatever needed to be done--they never gave me specifics on the tune-up). I know a business is in trouble when they eliminate basic courtesy and, most importantly, they forget that they are not the customer. I tried to provide constructive feedback to staff, but it was met with argument and interruption. This business grossly lacks listening skills as well as customer service.

Blue Sky rental was the place me and my wife went to rent a moped for our honeymoon. We arrived…read moreafter 5 pm so most spots for rentals were closed, but Blue Sky Rental was not. We gave the place a call and the owner picked up the phone and I asked for the price of the moped was for a week and he knocked off a couple hundred dollars and settled on around 280. We picked it up that night. It was the best experience on the trip and they even filled it up twice for no charge at all. When I'm back down in Key west I'm going back and going to see if the owner would do 250 for a week! Moral of the story always see if prices are negotiable! Was a great experience no hassle at all!
