Papa Scooters is THE best. Been renting golf carts in Key West since 2019. This year, a friend who manages an Inn recommended Papa Scooters. Their rental fees and service were very reasonable. They delivered the cart. The cart broke down and they responded within 15 minutes with another cart. A few days later, I checked the engine oil and it was low. They offered to respond. But, I was parked by Ace Hardware and topped if off. I just needed to call them to determine the proper oil type and viscosity. The are really great to work with. I contacted them while I was on the key west express. They met me at the dock with the 4 person golf cart I ordered. Full of gas and ready to go. Return was just as easy. Very reasonable cost vs what the push on you at the terminal. The only thing I would recommend is getting a 6 seater for 4 people. The girls did not like sitting facing backwards and the canopy did not cover the rear seats, so they got very hot. read more

The scooter was very slow and not made for two people riding. I selected "two people scooter" at the time of booking and I have driven scooters in key west before. This particular scooter was very slow and was hardly going above 25mph. Please check the scooters before you pay in advance. We went up to the facility asking for a different scooter but the lady said they are all 50cc and they currently don't have any scooters available to exchange. The scooter was having bad suspension which made the ride uncomfortable. It wasn't our primary source hence we were fine but not satisfied with the service. Not happy with the ride speed, power and condition of scooter. I booked for 3 days and I would suggest other people make sure you get what you paid for. Filled out the request online. Received email confirmation and waivers to fill out. They even offer delivery! I may have missed it on the booking but I called and they said no problem at all. Free of charge. $203 for 5 days (after taxes). The absolute best way to get around key west. Highly recommend. We called on our departure day and asked to have the scooter picked up. They informed us to leave our scooter key with the concierge at our hotel. We thought that was the best and easiest possible scooter rental ever. But a tiny red flag with the concierge at our hotel, told me do a follow up call and I didn't. The concierge didn't say a word when I asked if I could leave the keys with him - he just took them and put them in a drawer and continued working on his computer. Perhaps it was the concierge job to call the scooter company after I handed over the keys? Unfortunately, 3 days after we returned home, we received a call wondering where our scooter was. Instant stomach drop. I'm now thinking the worst. We informed them (again) that an employee suggested we leave our key with the concierge. The man on the phone said "oh no problem thanks for letting me know we'll go pick it up". It was just a bit odd. Love the company, but may be a better organized system is needed? I don't even know what to say about how helpful and nice everyone was here. They dropped off scooters on time, gave us the details, were very lenient and funny about the condition of the scooters and came filled to the brim with gas. They also say you don't need to fill it upon returning. We were a little late with having them pick up our rental after a week and they didn't mind at all and didn't charge us extra. Been renting scooters while on vacation in key west for 20 years. Came across these guys on a total fluke when they were delivering a scooter to someone staying at the same B&B. Had no idea there was a free delivery type scooter place there and honestly even if I had, i probably would have assumed they would be much pricier or would have crappy service. We have now rented from them during two different trips, and their service is impeccable. Delivered scooter on time as promised, picked it up from b&b after we left....literally zero work for us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We were charged a huge damage charge when we were told we would not be charged anything. We called and spoke with the "CEO" as he called himself. He is a young boy who has zero customer service skills. He was extremely rude and arrogant on the phone. He called my fiancé a liar repeatedly even after being asked to stop. My fiancé repeated what he told him and he denied it. He also repeated what his mother (who works for him) told him and the CEO said he doesn't care what his mommy said. He disrespected his own mother on the phone with us. He refused to help us and said he could charge even more if he wanted and there was nothing we could do because he was the CEO. DO NOT BOOK! My family came to Key West from London to enjoy a nice family holiday. We rented 4 scooters from Papa Scooters which wouldn't work due to the turential rain! When they 2 out of the 4 of them eventually did work, one of the scooters fell over, no damage were caused and we have multiple before and after pictures, the scooters are super old and come with many scrates and dents. We cancelled the scooters as we didn't feel comfortable using them! Papa scooters did not refund any of our money and stole an addition $600 for "damages". We have now had to get our family lawyer involved and dispute the payment as they refuse to return our money. Please DO NOT BOOK if you don't want your money stolen from this company.
