We made the request for the bikes online, filling out the appropriate paperwork for 2 bikes, for what we thought was the next 2 days and hit send. We got back the appropriate disclaimer and waiver forms to fill out right away, which if you read through the entire thing, was hilarious (bonus stress relief)! The following day, which is a Sunday, we waited for our bikes to be delivered. After a half hour delay of when we were expecting the bikes, we decided we had better text them to make sure they were coming. Another delay and we looked more carefully at our reservation and found we had mistakenly put the dates of the next week instead of the current one! We had hit the wrong buttons and made a big mistake and thought we were going to have to walk around town again but before we knew it, we received a telephone call to let us know they were outside our vacation home with the bikes ready to go! They had received our message and scrambled to get the bikes out to us. The fixed the computer reservation and we were ready to go, all with smiles on their faces, on their day off! In addition to us receiving such great customer service, a friend joined us later in the week and wanted to rent a regular bicycle. She walked to a local shop only to be turned away very rudely. Walking home, she came across this same Island Bicycles & Skateboards shop who not only welcomed her in and got her outfitted with a bike, but they also let her have the bike on a day-to-day basis as long as she texted or called to let them know. It was all just that easy!

With 1 phone call, I was able to rent, pay and return the bike after use. It came with a lock so I was able to secure it at the many places I visited. I also simply locked it up to the gate of the AirBnB I was staying at and they came to pick it up while I headed to the airport. Payment was simple as well and we processed it through Venmo in about 30 seconds. There are many options to choose from but I chose one of the yellow cruisers without the front basket. My wife called from her phone and was told that it basically would be there when it got there. When it finally was delivered, the guy was pretty rude and basically said it is what is and that he'd give us two extra hours which we didn't want anyways since we had other plans. Other people in our party made reservations after us with other companies and were on their carts before us. Customer service was not good. You can find better carts for cheaper prices elsewhere. Moped Hospital's customer service is top-notch and the pricing is exceptional. Even though I'm a frequent renter, the staff always takes the time to review all the policies and procedures, and they do a great job of checking out the scooter before it leaves the lots. TIP -- Because they are so popular, it's best to reserve early and include your style preference. I typically pick the classic Italian design but have been very happy with the more modern designs.

Reading the reviews of the Scooter guy it sure sounds like the reply is point on with the first comment of the "one-star" review. Scooters and bikes are two different things. You should go to someone who fixes lawnmowers to have your 50cc scooter repaired. Fuzzy has been good to the Keys and its visitors for years. I have nothing but positive things to say. Qualities not often seen in today's retailers. Prices were on the low side for the condition of the bikes.
