With increased inventory and a well lit store, there is always something to pick up. Sales on select items are frequent which makes it a bonus for random drop-ins. Aside from boating and water sports needs, this is a great place to pick up dry bags, coolers, foul weather gear and leisure & footwear. Name brand styles such as Guy Harvey, Oakley, Pelagic, Tommy Bahama, Sperry Topsider and more are available. The staff is always nice and helpful. If you are not a boater or into watersports, I would recommend this place for a quick browse through for some gift giving opportunities. The only downside I would say is in the clothing department the stuff flies off the shelf fast, and there is limited stock. What you see on the shelf is what there is. We almost had a big barracuda but it ate some of our bait and then jumped high out of the water to give us a little show! My youngest really wanted to catch a shark so Captain Justin took us to a great spot and started throwing out bait trying to get some sharks in. We had so many! Several lemon sharks and nurse sharks and 1 bull shark. We reeled in 2 lemon sharks and 1 nurse shark. Captain Justin was so great helping us reel them in and cheering us on! Like most of the keys the water around the pier is very shallow and has large boulders along the sides of the pier so a lot of fish get shelter and there is plenty to see. A lot of locals come here to fish and catch bait. During many special events in Key West, the pier is used such as 4TH of July, the city shoots the fireworks off the end of the pier; which is a huge area.
