It has an industrial look, in an industrial area, and almost underneath an industrial size freeway ramp; you can't get much more industrialized than that. Plus it's an industry, as they actually produce a product here. Their beers can be found all over town (the Fulton Lonely Blond and Sweet Child of Vine are ubiquitous), but it's nice to go to the source. I personally would prefer the beers at most of the other area breweries, but it's still way better than any macro-brew. read more

Hipstery little brewery. I was visiting from out of town but I felt like I was back in my corner of Fishtown in Philly. I really enjoyed the beers and they had a large selection, I should have tried more! The only downside, which I guess is my fault, is that there wasn't a really solid vegetarian option. They only had a salad which had the most bizarre vinaigrette dressing (it was the consistency of mustard? maybe it's a midwest thing...). I'd definitely recommend this place for beers but maybe find something else if you are a vegetarian looking for a hearty meal. read more

My first experience with Fulton Brewery was at the end of a light rail brewery crawl. I can say by the end of the night all the beers were tasting like ambrosia. I decided to wait to write a review till my only beer was a Fulton beer. I'm not a big fan of IPA and the like and usually get stuck waiting for fall and winter to get my hands on the malty dark beers of my dreams. Fulton did not disappoint! I tried the Worthy Adversary and War and Peace. Both were excellent but I leaned toward the War and Peace at the end. I'm looking forward to hitting up this location again! read more

I finished off the night with two of their 13.2% Patience Barleywine, and then I didn't get out of bed until 3pm the next day. Ok, maybe it was 5pm. From what remember, I liked their beers, the space, and the servers. Sweet Child of Vine is one of my favorites from this brewery, but all beer lovers can surely find something they'll enjoy. The space is large with lots of community style tables, some standing ones, and some booths in the back. I'm not a huge fan of the community tables. I often find myself sitting hunched over when at a bench, which then hurts my back, and results in me drinking more. There are big garage style doors, they're great in the summer, but drafty in the winter. No food, but you'll usually find a food truck outside. Super friendly service, and good prices. read more

Yes, the Fulton tap room. It's open. It's awesome. I was in the neighborhood with an old college friend and was reminded (by another yelper's check-in) that the tap room was open. Cue dropping everything and running over there. The atmosphere is that of a warehouse, and there are quite a few tables (for standing and sitting). The bar itself is beautiful, Fulton's trademark hop star on everything (including the hand stamps as you come in). Plus, there's a big window view of the shiny stainless steel brewing equipment too. The vibe was what a bustling bar should feel like: approachable, fun... the kind of place you could hang out with strangers and have a good time. On nice days, they open up the garage door to the elements, though you can't take your drink out there. And outside you'll find a rotating food truck parked for noshes since the tap room itself doesn't serve food. I think I've thoroughly enjoyed each and every Fulton brew that has ever lived, so I decided to order the newest addition, an American Pale Ale (will update when I remember the name). My friend ordered the Sweet Child of Vine IPA, and they also had The Lonely Blonde, Worthy Adversary and The Libertine. You're also able to sample anything they have on tap at the time, which is always fun. All the beers are $5 and they accept cash or credit cards via Square. Hours for the tap room vary depending on Twins schedules and such, but they have a great calendar on their website that also includes which food truck will be rolling over on which day. Everything from Hola Arepa to Gastrotruck to Potter's Pasties. Growlers are $13 (plus a deposit on the glass)... and I was all set to get one until a giant group of people came in and swarmed the bar. Ah well, just an excuse to come back soon. read more

Fulton is one of the OG craft breweries around Minneapolis, and the maturity of their beers shows it. I mean, I've been enjoying their Farm Girl saison for years now, whether by the bottle or on tap back when they used to be like, the only local craft brew a restaurant/bar would have on tap (along with Surly). Despite that though I have only been to the tap room twice now, mostly just due to its location (metered street parking downtown uggg). That being said, they really do have a great location, especially if you live in the sodosopas around it or are leaving early after getting tired of watching the Twins lose, as we did. The outdoor seating is plentiful and has a couple levels, and their in-house kitchen/trailer is parked onsite. It was a damn near perfect end of summer night when we ditched the Twins game and decided to end the evening with a couple not-ballpark-priced brews and food. The taproom itself was damn near empty but that patio was hoppin. My husband ordered a west coast IPA and I ordered their brut IPA collab w/ Left Hand Brewing (which is a fantastic brewery out of CO). We each ordered a specialty hotdog, then grabbed our table # and beer and enjoyed the patio. The beers have always been solid and there's usually something on tap for everyone, from hoppy IPAs to lighter saisons to dark high ABV barrel aged brews. This was my first time ordering food and I gotta say we were both impressed by the hotdogs. I don't remember the name of mine but it was topped with blue cheese, sautéed onions and peppers, served on a rye bun with chips. Perfect. One of the servers was patrolling outside and was quick about grabbing empty glasses and trays. Definitely a staple in the craft brew scene of MN and would call it one of the must stops for any CB enthusiast/snob or whatever we're calling ourselves these days. read more

Why 3 stars? Because it wasn't an ideal experience. --- --- --- I love beer, and I love local beer. It just tastes better. So FB seemed like an obvious destination during my 24 hours in Minneapolis. We were a couple of first-time visitors to Minny, and had no idea where to park in the neighborhood. We parked in a lot that seemed too good to be true. Everywhere around us seemed to be full of cars, but this lot right next to Fulton was almost completely empty. So we talked into the brewery and asked the couple at the front desk if we could park in that lot. This was a lot that was RIGHT behind the brewery. The cliche "a stone's throw" was quite literal in this instance. Even after 12 laps back and forth, neither of them had a clue on the Earth as to which lot I was referring to, and were arguing with each other as to if I was allowed to park in the general area. Sigh. I figured it out eventually on my own, and moved my car to the street. Then we squeezed back into a crowded FB, where they had 4 beers on tap. I don't remember what kinds they were, I just know that only one interested me. I tried it. It was meh. And thus, my experience at Fulton Brewery. Sorry for the Eeyore tone. read more

The plan I had was to do a brewery crawl with my pops post-Twins game. This was stop one. If I'd known they open earlier on game days, I would have spent less time at the game watching the Twins get their asses handed to them and would have spent more time at Fulton. Either way, we left the game about the start of the 8th inning and managed to beat the massive crowd that made their way to Fulton after the game. There was a line outside of the brewery of anxious people waiting to get in to get some beer. I was the guy inside casually sipping my beer, nodding at the people in line, smacking my lips, and making comments like "Man, this is good," and "How f#cking refreshing!". Nah, just kidding, I didn't do all that. I was actually at the bar sampling the different brews with my pops and talking to the cool as shit part owner and Fulton family member. He was a friendly guy that demonstrated a true passion for beer and beer culture. After a long conversation and sampling a number of the beers, I settled on the excellent The Designated Bitter. It's been a month now, so I hardly can recall the beer's attributes, but it was great. A 4/5. I also got a pour of the Sweet Child of Vine at another venue and found that to be a superb beer as well. 4/5 Overall, this place stood out for the great personnel, for the high-celiinged space and easy post-game access, and for the excellent beer. Cheers to the Fulton family. PS. As I mentioned, Fulton can easily be part of a brewery crawl. My dad and I followed it with Dangerous Man (awesome), Indeed (excellent), Bauhaus Labs (excellent), and 612 Brewing (so-so). I would have liked to do Boom Island instead of 612. This is a lot of walking, but you get to cross the Mississippi and see some cool neighborhoods and drinks lots of beer. Can't beat that. read more

Fulton Brewery just opened last fall in the warehouse district downtown and it's a dream come true for these four owners. It all started with a passion for making homemade brews in a garage. The brewery was crowded on the Saturday afternoon we visited. Fulton's beer "War & Peace" was available for the first time in growlers so people were lined up either to get some free samples or to buy a growler (a glass jug that carries a 1/2 gallon of beer). This particular brew is an infusion of their Russian Imperial Stout with Peace coffee. It's really amazing how the flavors blend together into such a smooth taste. You can hang around and keep sampling some of their other brews or catch a tour from one of the owners. Ryan provided us with an informative tour of the brewery and production process. Of course we couldn't resist leaving without purchasing a growler or two ourselves. The brewery is only open to the public on weekends so plan a visit soon. Check out some of their brews at local establishments too. Support your local brewer and become a Fulton fan! I have to say it's easy to become one after you try their brews and hear the story of how this brewery got started. read more

I made it a point to visit Fulton Brewery while in Minneapolis. I had heard nothing but good things all week long. It 's right outside of downtown in a warehouse. The seating is communal style which is a lot of fun when you're on your own. I had the Lonely Blonde and Sweet Child of Vine. Both tasty brews. I really wanted to try the Libertine but I had drive so thought better of buying another beer. Instead I bought a bomber to bring home with me. I was told that their food was really good but I didn't try it. I'm not sure the food is actually made by Fulton, more likely the food truck posted up out front. The bartenders were really nice and the lady working the door was super friendly. If I'm ever back in Minneapolis, I'd definitely stop by again. read more

Solid Beer + Tap Room + Twins Pre-Gaming + Food Trucks + Randallized Beers at Winterfest = Beer Heaven I won't go so far as to say Fulton is putting out the best beer in the Cities, but they're certainly making quality product, and their relatively new tap room is the icing on the cake. Open before and during all Twins home games and on the weekends, the tap room is a welcoming environment, beer is reasonably priced and there is usually at least one rotating food truck out front should the drunchies set in. The slowly expanding beer list is full of mostly hits. The Lonely Blonde and Sweet Child of Vine are good renditions for their respective styles. Additionally, the Libertine (Imperial Red) and Worthy Adversary (Russian Imperial Stout) are both bold, big beers and are great, but only seasonally available. Great place to hit up before Target Field, to stop in and grab a pint or four, or just to grab a growler if interested in imbibing elsewhere. read more

This is such a money location by the stadium in the loop. I biked here for the first time (finally-I know), which allowed me to stay and enjoy the patio. The set up has many picnic tables, so feel free to sit down and make a few new friends. The hops seem to be growing right up the vines and the mood is set with strings of lights above. I haven't really had a beer I don't like from Fulton, so today I tried a new Red Ale brew they had at 8% alcohol. It did not disappoint. It was smooth with a deep red color, served in a short 10oz. They do not serve food here, but there is typically a food truck available if you get the munchies. read more

The Fulton tap room is one of most creative, artistic tributes to the local community I've seen in a brewery. Such a cool vibe & lots of delicious beer on tap. Overall a great place. We sampled a couple beers and had a couple pints and everything was excellent!! My only negative feedback is that I was disappointed in 2 of the 3 staff members I interacted with. They just didn't display the friendly, good natured attitudes I have come to expect at local breweries. Love craft beers so looked this place up. Atmosphere was really cool. They had a band on the patio which was really good. Now to the important part... beer. Even tho they do not offer flights, I was able to try a few different beers since they let you sample. The 300, cosmic stallion and sweet child of vine were all good. Staffed with friendly people that define what a brewery taproom experience should be. Highly suggest a visit. The only drawback is that they don't make their Barrel Aged Libertine all year round or offer it in growlers. And for some reason wouldn't allow me to inject it straight into my veins. Fulton consistently taps some of the best brews in the city, and I'm especially partial to their MPLS Mild, especially when it's on nitro. Their other dark beers are solid as well. They'll have a tasty brew to suit even the pickiest beer drinkers. Whether a slow weeknight or a busy weekend, the service is always spot on, and the staff are a friendly bunch if they have the time to chat. It's not the biggest taproom in the city, but when folks ask me my favorite, I usually point them to Fulton. Plus their logo kicks ass! read more

Listen. We are Fan's of Fulton - have been for years. Consistently great beer and great people who work there. It's always a pleasure to stop in the taproom. Maybe a lesser known fact is that the food is awesome too! We had the Brazilian tacos (with pork) and they were spicy and amazing! The chimmichurri is outstanding and a total home run. The tortillas were a little thicker than the usual taco - which I appreciate because I'm not a fan of double tortillas on a taco. I LOVED FULTON BREWERY! It is such a great looking location from the outside. I know that seems like a silly thing to start with but the outside of the building is so appealing you can't help but want to go inside. Inside, it spacious with ample seating and clean. My initial gut reaction was to get Sweet Child of Vine straight from the source (since I saw it on basically every bar/restaurant menu) but upon suggestion of 300 which is a Mosaic IPA and potentially on the top ten list of beers I've had in my life. Fulton is a great spot located North East of Target Field and the Target Light Rail Transit Station. They have $5/6 10oz-16oz (Pints) available for beer pours in the tap room. Fulton classics like Lonely Blonde and Sweet Child of Vine. If you want to explore and try some new flavors, Fulton offers a variety of seasonal favorites. One of my favorites (pictured) is an American Pale Ale called Ranger. This is a less hoppy version of the Sweet Child. Home brewed (non-alcoholic) sodas are also available at the bar. Food is available by a new daily food truck located outside the front of the brewery. Food trucks such as Tot Boss and Fork in the Road are just a few of the food trucks that are available during the brewery business hours. You can bring the food inside to eat or relax outside on the patio. Inside is very clean. Tables are available for couples on a date, larger tables for groups and a long bar available to sit. Large TVs are located inside to catch the start of a Twins game if you want to have a good beer for a reasonable price. The bathrooms are very nice and are large given the average tap room size. My buddy and I were looking for a quick beer before the Twins game, and we remembered the Fulton Brewery was right behind the ballpark. Score! We entered about 20 minutes before the ball game was about to start, and it was still packed. I found a couple seats at the family style benches while my friend got us two Sweet Child of Vines. Such good beer, a nice strong and hoppy IPA, but very smooth as well. Lots of TVs line the wall and they always have a food truck outside if you need some vittles. I came here last year and AZ Canteen was here. (Awesome lamb burger) and it was a truck I hadn't seen before on this visit, but customers were definitely getting their wares. We had our beer, enjoyed our stay, and headed to the park to see the Twins lose to the Rangers. read more

I had my doubts originally....I give Fulton a lot of credit for going broadly early with Sweet Child O Vine IPA....but over time I've found other IPAs that I like better. So did I want to go to the home of SCOV? I was a little mah at first....but once I got here totally changed my mind and this is now a go-to. Yes, the standard industrial feeling tap room....but a nice size and the seating is spaced out well with plenty of room to stand. But the winning formula here are the brewers and the beer that is not widely available....if at all. If I tried them all - I'd need a cot in the corner because there were about a dozen on tap the night I was there. And the brewers chat up the customers and share their knowledge and love of their product. Parking is scarce...and metered, but we had no problem parking just a block away. And - Minneapolis isn't gouging at the meter in this area....at least not yet. read more

Way better than your standard response at a bar when you ask if they have Fulton, "yea, we have the lonely blonde, and sweet child of vine". Don't get me wrong, those are both very tasty beers, but to have the option to try out their other beers is most definitely worth the trip down town. The have a great outdoor seating area, in addition to having bags set up to play, pretty potted plants, and they used to have a beautiful view of downtown. The brewery looks clean, the tap room is clean, the bathrooms are clean. Great spot to check out after a dinner at the Smack Shack, or before/after a Twins game. The bartenders are personable, friendly, and welcoming. If you like beer and you haven't been to Fulton, I don't know if I can be your friend. ;-) read more

The Fulton Taproom is great--it is downtown, is very spacious, has an extensive in-house draft beer selection, and has lots of seating (both indoor and outdoor). Only downside is that they close fairly early, but nothing you can do about that! We went on a Saturday evening and there was plenty of space to stand, sit, be inside or outside. We went straight to the bar and were quickly able to order our drinks. I got the Standard beer (amber ale) which, I believe is only available at their taphouse. It was a refreshing, easy-to-drink beer. They have a wide selection of beers, many of which are IPAs, so you should be able to find something that suits your fancy. Cool place to check out. We would return if we're ever back in Minneapolis! read more

I love Fulton's beer, so don't interpret this as a review of the beer, which is excellent. This is a review of the taproom on my most recent visit. I usually have a wonderful time at the taproom, but this time we slammed our beers and fled as quickly as possible. Why? The brutish man in leather panties screaming at the top of his lungs, who was apparently employed by the brewery for reasons I cannot fathom. Fulton, this was a truly horrific experience. That man was perhaps one of the three most annoying things I've ever experienced. Please do not utilize the services of this screaming man in black leather panties again. read more

I was snapped at by one of the bartenders when I asked them if they had short pours of their beer, so this is not the best place to come if you want to try a selection. Overall, I wouldn't return. This place used to be my favorite. Used to be but looks like things gave changed. Last couple times I've been there the music has been real loud; live music, real loud. It was super bije Friendly once as well. No more. There are bike racks, or I should say rack. It's surrounded and pinned in with what I assume are staff vehicles. Can't access the racks, and if I could I'd be worried about it getting crunched by someone moving their car, van. I always enjoyed the variety of Food Trucks that would rotate through Fulton. That's gone now, too. There is good, but it's out of a semi-permanent "Airstream" trailer kitchen. Same food all the time now. Fulton trying to capture a buck perhaps. Anyway, music way to loud, no bike parking, variety of food is gone. So am I. I wish them well, but it's not for me. I came for the great beer I assume they still brew, but can't put up with the other stuff. It's good, but not that good. read more
