They didn't quite get our order right with one sandwich that came on the wrong bread; we didn't press and they didn't offer so we let it go. The BBQ was perfect. The chow-chow sauce is a acquired taste . I would suggest getting the chow-chow sauce on the side your first time. To make sure you like it. The fries are huge stake fries. The loaded baked potato was gigantic . One loaded potato is a meal on its self. Their desserts are delicious. I recommend the key Lime pie . I hate doing bad reviews, but in hopes it will be useful to the business and possible diners--it's deserved! We pulled in to a very busy parking area and drive-thru and seeing this, had high hopes and big appetites. But, I read some bad reviews and honestly, if you have a gut feeling...listen--or you'll be listening to your gut later! First impression upon entering--bad! It looks unclean and messy both behind the counter and my glimpse into the kitchen/prep area. Employees appeared tired, unhappy and slow. Trash can overflowing in kitchen area, food and trash on the floor, etc. We had already ordered and gotten our food at this point ($30 worth) and I was just asking for some pepper packets! Still, we attempted a few bites and watched several people take their mostly uneaten platters of food to the trash with expressions of disgust. Baby back ribs, fries, pulled pork, and mush butter beans, along with the sandwich buns they substituted for rolls, I assume, were left on the table for them to see the food was inedible! Truly, I believe this establishment should be shut down and cleaned thoroughly, employees re-trained and a visit by the Health Department is necessary. I don't eat pork or chicken or beef so coming to a bbq restaurant in the south is always a test of their sides. My husband eats everything and anything and enjoyed his two choice meal with two sides. He had the sausage link, brisket, Mac n cheese, and baked beans and cleaned his plate clean. I had okra, fried green tomatoes, and slaw. Nothing blew me away except the corn bread roll it came with. Prices were okay, maybe even a little high, compared to other fast food type bbq joints I've hit up in Georgia and North Carolina. The two choice was 16.99 and veggies were 7.99. The workers are really young so not the best customer service but they get the job done and they aren't rude. Their wall decor is awesome!! Auburn and Alabama everywhere. When I travel I like to find a BBQ where I stay. The first time here I tried Larry's which was a disaster. So this time I tried Full Moon. Not bad BBQ. I had tried the spare and baby back ribs. I had a haft rack along with their coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs were cooked very nice. The babies had more meat that the spare but both were good. The slaw was home made with vinegar and was fresh. The potato salad was good and not over powered with mayo. Even the fries were good. I would recommend this place to my friend. Driving through Dothan at lunch time, we decided to drive thru Full Moon. Unfortunately, they got our order wrong (which we didn't realize right away and didn't want to turn around). We ordered for 4 people and only one order was correct. Despite the orders being wrong, I would definitely go back. The pork sandwich was phenomenal. The sauce was amazing. You know, I don't like to like a BBQ chain--I always want to support the little guy, the dive BBQ joint. I must admit though, I do quite like Full Moon. They are consistent in taste and presentation (and I basically always get the same thing, so I notice!), and the place gives you a sports bar kind of vibe but with the option of BBQ instead of just wings and burgers. Passing through on business, my husband and I decided to eat here. It was getting a little late to be eating super heavy so we opted for this place. I thought I would order a baked potato and be done with it... What a surprise I got! I ordered a baked potato called the Big Baker...it had to be the largest baked potato I have ever seen, and tried to eat! Ha! It was the size of 2 softballs placed side by side. No kidding. Butter, sour cream, bacon, cheese and chives with the most tender, melt in your mouth chicken and delicious bbq sauce. If your in the mood for a baked potato this is the place to go. It was so very good! My husband had the pulled pork platter and he loved it, as well. Other dishes that customers had ordered looked amazing as well! We asked our hotel for a recommendation for a barbeque place, and they suggested the Full Moon. First, this is not a restaurant. It is a fast food counter, clean your own tables sort of place. This is not the sort of place I expect to pay $36 for two for dinner with nothing but water to drink. My husband ordered the ribs which were really terrible - dry, tough, with a really horrible after-taste. I tried them too, and had to agree. He just took them in a to-go box, then threw them out at the hotel. Yes, we should have said something, but he was tired and didn't want to deal with it. He did enjoy the huge baked potato, but it seemed weird that we had to pay extra to have that as one of the two included sides. I had the pulled pork which was pretty good, but was over-priced for what I got. I also paid extra for a baked potato (loaded) which was very big, delicious, even if served cold.
