Big Daddy's Real Pit Bar B Que - A must try! They make you feel like family and serve amazing food! - Barbeque Near Me - Enterprise, Alabama

The food was very good!! Great service too!! I had the loaded baked potato.. I would definitely recommend this place.

I have been exploring BBQ joints in southeast Alabama for years but I had never tried Big Daddys in Enterprise. I have had it on my list since it is very highly rated. I had tried to eat at Big Daddys before in 2018 but they could not accept cards. They said the card machine wasn't working that night and fast forward to 2022, they are still going to tell you something about trying to get one but haven't etc. Make sure you bring cash! For a BBQ joint, this is one of the weirdest looking ones I've ever seen. The outside looks like a house for a bona-fide hole in the wall but inside is where the decor gets really odd. There us a lady at a counter to take your order and about 5 tables that can seat about 30 people. But the decorations make.me think that his is more suited to be a funeral parlor or a hospital chaplain office. There looks like there is an altar table, fake flowers hanging on the wall, a big TV from the 90s, and uplifting portraits on the wall. With all of that said, the place looks and feels very clean. The first thing that catches my eye about the menu are the prices. All the plates are $10 and the sandwiches are $5 or cheaper. I chose a rib plate with potato salad and slaw and a jumbo pork sandwich. The sandwich came on a toasted bun and kept it simple with sauce and pork. The pork was solid but nothing sets it apart from being extraordinary. The ribs though is what I would recommend. I got 3 humongous spare ribs slathered in sauce and was so tender and easy to chew. The one thing I didn't like about the ribs though were they were really salty. The potato salad is a homemade mustard base with no surprises. The slaw was creamy, vinegary, chilly, and a little bit of sweetness. The toast thar came with my plate was buttered extremely well. The sauce is really close to ketchup. It is ketchup with vinegar mixed in with a little spice. Overall, it was a mild sweet tangy flavor and was enjoyable. Sweet tea was extremely sweet but very refreshing. Overall, Big Daddys is a BBQ joint everyone should visit at least once. The service was wonderful and sweet. The price and value are phenomenal and the BBQ is solid. read more

Good pulled pork sandwich that was loaded with meat, the coleslaw was a bit sweet but better than most, rice was really good.

We first went to eat at Big Daddy's in 2008. We had moved to Alabama in 2006 and had been trying to find good BarBQ. We found it when we entered Big Daddy's!!! We moved out of Alabama in 2010. We've been back a few times and Everytime we go back to visit, we stop in. Today was no different. We came for a visit and we stopped into see Big Daddy. We had his famous Pork Stuffed baked potato and baked beans. It is the very best BarBQ bar none. We have lived in Iowa and Nebraska and Pennsylvania and Tennessee. We've visited Texas and Missouri, Indiana, Virginia, Colorado and South Dakota and had BarBQ. So we have been around. Big Daddy's is STILL the best!! read more

Best BBQ in the city!!! Friendly staff and the food is always delicious. A nice "mom & pop" feeling place.

So excited to have found Big Daddy's BBQ. We were in town for our son's graduation from pilot school and needed to feed 20 people. The ribs, chicken and shredded pork were amazing. Everyone was raving about the BBQ. If you are in town be sure to make this a stop. read more

On our way back from the beach and fast food was not going to cut it after a less than stellar experience at the Gulf . We looked up bbq around our area and Big Daddy's positive reviews attracted us, but the friendly atmosphere and amazing food made us stay! I ordered the pork baked potato and you better come hungry! The portion was massive and perfectly cooked! read more

I absolutely love this place! The owners are so friendly every time I come in! I usually get the loaded potato, which has a lot of meat and toppings on a large potato. Their smoked pork is very tender and juicy compared to the chain branches of BBQ around the area. Cash only! I will say their hours have changed during covid-I think they're closed on Tuesday's and limited hours based on customers past 2pm on weekends. read more

Great place for this "Yankee" to grab some authentic bbq.. the pulled pork plate was enough for two meals and I even scored a pound of pork to go! The owners were very nice and they asked about my travels ( it might have been the blue Peterbilt truck in their parking lot) and they were so welcoming. I'm definitely going to put them on my stop again list! read more

The best BBQ in Enterprise, a little hidden gem on a little back street but oh so worth it. IYall go give it a try.

Amazing experience! Great people and the food was some of the best I've had! I would recommend to anyone in town!

Fantastic BBQ at Big Daddy's in Enterprise, Alabama. The minute you enter the restaurant, you feel like you're at home. We were greeted with smiles and endless sweet tea. For $10 or less, you'll get a heaping portion of meat (I chose the pulled pork, delicious) and sides (the beans were incredible, along with tasty coleslaw and Texas toast). The food was served fast and tasted fresh. Big Daddy himself greeted us and made sure we enjoyed our food. The homemade BBQ sauces are wonderful! There was a regular and a spicy, which was tasty and not too spicy. Yum! read more

Average BBQ. I used to come here 15 years ago and the quality has diminished. The sides are also average. The service is swift and congenial. This place is quaint and worth a visit if you live in the area; however, I would go elsewhere if you have time for 1 BBQ meal while in town. Cash only! read more

My family came into town looking for authentic Alabama BBQ and we found it! Big Daddy's smaller menu means EVERYTHING gets a ton of love. Big Daddy's is the best BBQ restaurant in Enterprise, AL. The atmosphere is perfect - it has a great small town feel with no frills and, if you're lucky, you'll have a chance to chat with Big Daddy himself when he's not making magic happen behind the grill. Amazing food and the owners are a prime example of southern hospitality. 100% recommend!!

I stopped here with a group of 4 buddies heading north returning from spring break. We had been driving for hours looking for something good to eat. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. I got the pork plate which comes with two sides, toast and tea. The plate alone costs $10 but they had a special for 2 plates for $15, so my buddy and I went in on the deal. The portion was incredibly generous and the pork was very tasty. The sides were equally delicious and the sweet tea was the best I've ever add. If you're looking for something off the beaten path, I highly recommend stopping through. Big Daddy and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. read more

Met a customer here to pickup their dog for transport. A place I picked from GPS. MY faith in barbecue restored! I got the potato and it is all loaded up. The sauce is flavorful the meat is flavorful, this is more than enough food for this one person. Big Daddy is extremely nice, there was also an older gentleman in there eating he was nice as well. It's good to see southern hospitality still remains. This Georgia girl will return. Had a great talk about dogs, raccoons possums and so on. I look forward to the visit where I can stay longer. It's expensive for what you get. Immediately after sitting down I was given a menu and told that the prices were 50% higher then what was on the menu. I got a pulled pork plate and there just wasn't anything special about it. There also wasn't enough food. I left still hungry after a $20 bill which included a $5 tip that they specifically asked for. I would recommend looking for another BBQ joint. read more

This place was very good, great beef, amazing baked potatoes, great pork, and really good homemade beans. The building felt like an actual home. If you come here I'd recommend the beef baked potato. The only problem I had was that they only serve sweet or unsweetened tea, and they seem to run out of menu items very quickly. Would definitely recommend! read more

Awesome bbq!! Such a small, cozy place with GREAT service!! They were limited on some menu items (no slaw) but it did not matter. Everything was awesome!!! Visiting from area but want to try and get back. Sauce was also out of this world!! Must try! read more

One day id like to go back and give it another try. For now I will rate amongst my most recent experience. Went there on a Saturday and they had no ribs or anything on their menu but shredded pork and loaded baked potato. Then my husband asks for ketchup and she says we can probably buy some from grocery outlet. The bun was soggy and the sweet tea was NOT sweet at all. read more

Diamond in the rough!!!! Came in starving left out stuffed!! Food was piping hot and cooked right! I had the pulled pork plate with rice and baked beans. I came here on Tuesday night. It's basically a house that's been renovated to a "restaurant". The decor is very home-like with glass display cases, various pictures hung up, a tv. But it was hot and muggy inside(despite the fans). There were 3 plastic tables set up with chairs. The owners were friendly. I was disappointed because the selection was totally limited. My options were a pork plate with beans and coleslaw or a jumbo sandwich (no regular sandwich option). So go figure, we ordered one of each. The pork was good, the sauce was ok, beans were meh, coleslaw was not special. It came to $17+ change. I won't go back due to extremely limited selection, uncomfortable seating, etc. I get it's Alabama but Yelp let me down! read more

We stopped in here to eat one day and I was all keyed up to have me some spare ribs but unfortunately a car dealership was having some big to-do and had just come in and bought up everything they had left so I was stuck getting the pulled pork. Now, I have read many other BBQ joint reviews where people get pulled pork all the time. I'm not one of those people.... However, I have no choice but to put my spare-rib snobbery behind me and get the pulled prok....it was actually very good and I wasn't disapponted at all. It was very moist and had a really nice smokey flavor. The service was very friendly and the portions were generous also. The prices are pretty reasonable. I think three of us ate for about $30 although we usually don't get drinks since I refuse to pay $2 for a glass of soda (which is what most places charge but I didnt look at this place). A good place, I recommend stopping if you happen to be passing through Enterprise. read more

Loved the barbeque and service! I ordered the pork platter and the pork and beans were delicious. I would have liked a few more options for side dishes and the rice that came with it was only ok. Order the pork baked potato with everything on it (butter, sour cream, cheese). If you can handle some heat, only use the hot sauce. That hot sauce is magic in a squeeze bottle. Enjoy. If you get there on a Friday or Saturday, you may want to try the ribs. ONLY if you've already had the baked potato. That's all you need to know. Oh, and say hi to Big Daddy as well. read more
