The service was great and the decor is fitting for a bbq restaurant. I ordered the sliced beef sandwich with fried yellow squash. The fried squash was fresh and hot. The waitress brought some ranch dressing for dipping. It was good. The beef was a little dry for my liking so I used quite a bit of mild bbq sauce on it. Hubby ordered the chopped pork platter with beans and Cole slaw. It was all very tasty. The waitress brought us a sample of strawberry shortcake. It was delicious! read more

The restaurant was unbearably hot inside, with messy tables everywhere that clearly hadn't been cleaned. The younger employees in the back were mostly just standing around doing nothing instead of helping customers or keeping the restaurant clean. The overall atmosphere was very unpleasent read more

A good selection of fresh smoked bbg the side dishes are good also the salad is fresh, a great staff to help you. read more

I love Larry's . We always get the pulled pork and BBQ 1 lb ribs. It's smoked to perfection. The customer service is great . You can order to go orders as this is what we prefer . However dining in is offered as well. Good for kids and families . read more

Waitress attentive and although the ambiance is a little local, that's part of the charm. Menu is varied and food is down home delicious!!

I have been to other BBQ restaurants in the area and they were not that impressive, so I decided to give Larry's a try, despite a less than spectacular rating on Yelp! As others have said, the service was fast, friendly and timely. They have all the normal Bbq options and I ordered ribs. They also offer beef, and in this case I was very glad I did not try that after I heard a waitress say they used eye of round!!!! There is only brisket when you are barbecuing beef. Maybe others like it, I am sure I would not. The ribs were not very hot when they came out; they were very flavorful. I was pleased to discover that I could get them with sauce on the side. I ate two with no sauce, one with the sweet sauce and one with hot sauce. I enjoyed the sauces and really enjoyed the two without sauce. The fries were cooked well and the Cole Slaw was good. They do have several other side options that are more healthy. Although I did not have it, they have a nice looking salad bar as well. I would probably give Larry's a 3.8 if I could and don't feel bad at all about giving them a 4. read more

Larry's Real Pit Bar-B-Q - Enjoying some great ribs at Larry's - Restaurants Near Me - Enterprise, Alabama

Larry's is the place to go to for barbecue. . The service is good, food is outstanding and they have never let me down.

This place was your basic everyday BBQ food was good very quiet location that offered great service. You can definitely tell this is where the locals go and can get packed at times. Reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. read more

Food was not very good. The meat was dry and the turkey looked like normal sliced turkey.

The service was excellent! The staff was extremely nice, welcoming and accommodating. Our food came out quickly. Was very impressed with the hospitality. However, I was very unimpressed with the food. The green beans, mashed potatoes, and potato salad were extremely bland and lacking flavor. The garlic bread had flavor but was very stale. The meat was tough, bland, and not hot. The French fries were the only thing that tasted good. The locals seem to love this place and it is always packed when we drive by so we really wanted to try it out. We were overall very disappointed and won't be coming back. I do not recommend eating here if you like good BBQ. read more

Nothing wrong with the food. The bbq was a bit bland, but the sauce was excellent. Decent service. Nothing to knock my socks off, but certainly a decent meal. read more

Service and food are always excellent. We have been coming to Larry's for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed their food. I lived in Dallas for several years, as a young man, and I ate barbecue at more places than I could count all across Texas and all the way to Ponca City, Oklahoma. They were all different and some MUCH better than others. But Larry's has been doing it for decades in south Alabama for a reason. They smoke some pretty dang good meat. read more

Server was super nice and helpful. Food was delicious and plenty. Atmosphere is what you expect from a good BBQ place

Gave this place a shot based on a recommendation. 5 star service + 2 star food = a 3 star review. The food is average at best, but the staff is friendly. They welcomed us immediately and made us feel comfortable. The locals seem to like this place. I was not big fan of the potato spud or the ribs. Plates were served luke warm and taste xould not be enhanced even with the sauce. BBQ taste tends to be subjective -- I'm from Texas, tried BBQ from Carolina, Virginia, Missouri and Oklahoma -- this should help put things into perspective. Beware. read more

Stopped by for lunch with a friend. Once we were seated we were quickly approached by our waiter and she was excellent. The food was awful. I got the BBQ Chicken with BBQ Beans and Fries. My friend got the Pork Shoulder with Fries and Mac & Cheese. Fries were definitely from a freezer. All of it was bland. And the three sauces are some of the worst I've tasted at a BBQ joint. Definitely can't recommend anyone stop here for lunch. read more

Food was excellent! Best baked beans ever. The chipped beef was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us just enough. The restaurant was clean and not too crowded. Just good down home food and friendliness. read more

Half of our food was not given to us. When I called them I was told that they "do no offer refunds". The young woman on the phone was snarky and dismissive of the issue and the only solution would be for me to drive back across town to pick up the rest of the food that we paid for. Zero compensation for an error made by the restaurant, don't waste your time. The service is incompetent. I feel sorry for the owners. read more

The food was really good. It reminds me of back home (Texas) the brisket sandwich was really full the Mac and cheese taste like it was made with real cheese and then baked... the ranch dressing was sooo fresh and and had it with the crinkled cut fries. The baked beans was a little sweet yet we left none behind. After adding mustard to the potato salad it was also good. They give you three sauces to choose from I like the mild the best. My wife went for the sweet one. She had chopped pork from the looks and sound of it it was really really good as well ( I'm not a pork eater). Our waiter was Ms. Carrie she was the nicest person. If I come back to enterprise I WILL be back! read more

Well, basic BBQ, nothing to scream outloud about, or to fill you gut to a pleasurable regret. It was decent BBQ, and the place was clean and nice servers. Not knowing any other places in town, I would still say stop by. read more

My first experience with this restaurant today was not what I expected. The chicken was ok but the ribs and sliced pork were tough and dry. The green beans had 0 flavor and the potato salad was bland. Based on this experience I won't be back. read more

Ate here today for lunch after a trip to the VA doctor. Was not the best of eating by far. Started with coffee since I live on it. The only thing that saved this place from one star was the service. The waitress that took our orders was the friendliest that I have seen in a very long time and being that I am Retired Disabled Navy and I been from Japan to England and Wales to the Philippines and many places in between, she made sure we had what we wanted when we needed it. Just the food sucked, I ordered a barbecued four piece beef stuffed something, well it was not barbecued-it was not four pieces-but it was without any taste. My wife and daughter got Turkey sandwiches one on a bun and the other on Texas toast. Now simple yes, no, me wife's on a bun was supposed to be streadded it twasn't it was sliced. As for me daughter hers was ok except for having cheese which she didn't order. And last my 3 year old grandson who started calling me PopPop today was the only one happy, he got a grilled cheese sandwich his favorite and almost ate the whole thing plus fries. Well that's it eat there if'n you wife it could have been just our bad luck. Oh, yeah, I got my fresh? cup of coffee just before the food arrived. read more

I ordered a gallon of their Camp Stew. It was $27 or so and it was mostly vegetable soup. For the price, it should have had a little more meat in it. I was also expecting it to have BBQ meat in it, either pulled pork or brisket, but it was just a little ground beef. I did not take a picture of it because I took it somewhere to share with others. I was disappointed though. I have had their fried okra before. It is delicious. Next time, I will try the BBQ itself and skip the stew. read more

The servers were really nice, the BBQ sauces they have to offer are good. Other than that we were disappointed. The food was cold, my ribs were tough and flavorless, the Mac and cheese tasted old. I'm sad because they always appear busy when I drive by I thought it would've been great food. Oh well. The waitress took my rib plate off the bill which was very nice of her. read more

Pros: Good/affordable lunch special offering one main course, two sides, and garlic toast. They also offered 3 different BBQ sauces, all of which were pretty good. The service was very quick and friendly. Cons: Not sure if the sauces were home made or store bought. read more

Everything I've ordered always tasted freshly cooked and good flavor! Family friendly and great service!

Adding a star because they no longer allow smoking! I actually like this place a bit more than the other reviewers. I find that the service is good and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. I really love grabbing a burger there because I'm not bbq crazy. Prices are very reasonable. If nothing else, it's much better than the Daleville Larry's. They would get three stars if they didn't keep sitting me next to people who are smoking while I'm trying to eat. Yuck! read more

First time eating at Larry's and it will be my last time. I got the chicken plate and the chicken was dry the BBQ sauce tasted like it was bought from the grocery store and the bake beans was terrible. Was a lot of food but what good is a lot food if it is bad. Yes I live in alabama and I have tasted some good BBQ. Larry's isn't good. Service was just ok read more

This is another local favorite that just really isn't very good. I found the quality of the meat to be rather mediocre and the sauce just couldn't make up for it. It's fairly cheap though, in every sense. read more

LOOOOOVVEEE IT! We were so happy to find a great BBQ place here in Enterprise! We're picky with BBQ...but Larry's is great! Their staff is SUPER friendly...the environment is really laid back. Well, the people are nice. I ordered the super combo and there was nothing super about it except the portion. The chicken was dry as jerky, the ribs were hard and flavorless, and the pork was the worst bbq pork I've ever had. I slathered the food in the bbq sauce on the table but it didn't change how dry the meat was. This is the second Larry's I've been to and unless nothing else is open it's the last one I'll go to. read more
