    Loaded fries with no meat

This restaurant is conveniently located near Flowers Hospital. The location is great because The hospital cafeteria is only open for Lunch. After a long day at the hospital I needed food! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they also had a full bar! The margarita hit the spot and was only $5 on Taco Tuesday! They have vegetarian tacos. They also have loaded fries and nachos that can be prepared without the meat. I got the loaded fries. The portion was large and the taste was delicious! The bartender was great! She was friendly and helpful when I asked questions about the menu. If I'm back in Dothan on this side of town, I'll definitely stop by!

When P.S. Taco was announced in Dothan, I knew it had to be a must try. Dothan had lots of Mexican joints that are quite good but not a craft taco sort of place. P.S. Taco fills that need. A lot of reviews have commented on the price but these are not your average tacos with meat, cheese, beans, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. These are more creative. I chose the plate which is a good buy so you can sample 2 or 3 tacos and a side. My tacos were the brisket, Backwoods Hawaiian, and Black Jack. I enjoyed all of them but the Hawaiian was my favorite. It comes with pork belly, pineapple BBQ sauce, slaw, Mango salsa, red onions, and jalepenos. The Black Jack was weird with the blue cheese on the first bite but then it fit nicely together. The beef was marinated in a Korean sauce but was a little tougher that I would have liked. The brisket is a BBQ style Taco and it was enjoyable. Brisket was not as tender as I liked but good. I chose Mexican corn and I was thinking it would not be on the cob but surprise. Still this was very good corn with spices and I think a Cilantro Lime aioli on it. If you are expecting free salsa, this is not the place. But my brother ordered salsa and it came with a tray full of chips and a vinegary type of salsa. Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet and fresh! They do have a loyal member club. I will be back for more tacos at P.S. Taco Company.

My first experience with this place was not very impressive. We went on a Monday at 11 expecting great things. We took a seat at the bar, because that is where we prefer to sit. Usually you get great interaction and great service at the bar, plus we don't like to hold up a table for just two people. There were two tables of others and no one else at the bar. It was a full 10 minutes until the bar tender came over, she gave us menus and walked away. She made some drinks for the people siting outside, she then came back to take our drink orders, we both got tea. She came back several minutes later with the tea and walked away. I called her back to order some chips and salsa. We waited several more minutes for her to come back to take our regular order. The place did start filling up, there were about 7 people working, but they seemed to all stay in a group, which I understand they weee probably in training since the place has y been open long. We finally got our chips and salsa- which for them to be fried in house, were cold. The bartender was overwhelmed, she was seating people, severing good answering the phone and taking to go orders at the bar. Meanwhile we have been here about an hour, without our food yet. When our food did arrive, I was underwhelmed. I got the beef brisket taco and the shrimp taco with the street corn. My partner got the Crunchwrap. Mine looked good, well plated, but the brisket taco, did not have shredded meat as I expected, but rather mini chick let size pieces and very few of those, it was mostly coleslaw. The shrimp taco was better. The Mexican corn was ok. The Crunchwrap did not even look appetizing, my friend said it would have been better at Taco Bell. I do love the bar seating and the outside dining area, the inside is very well decorated. I will give them time to get better and maybe try the place again, I was very excited to try but very let down when I tried.

We were the only people in the restaurant at dinner time which was a little concerning. The fried green tomatoes were good with their house sauce. My shrimp and cheese grits were good, but just good. The house sauce was put in the bowl, but in my opinion it ruined the simple cheese grits and shrimp. Honestly, less is more. This bowl had a lot of the house dipping sauce, cheddar cheese and goat/feta like cheese, green onions, and bacon. The shrimp was good. I got the Petite bowl and it came with 5 shrimp and 4 hushpuppies. The hushpuppies were just okay. Not much flavor. Would have liked the dipping house sauce on the side of that rather than poured in my got bowl. My boyfriend got the tacos and they were huge! The tacos were pretty good! No complaints there. He got hushpuppies too and got a side of the house sauce. Overall, I think I'd rather try another local restaurant next time.

The guy at the register was friendly, answered all our questions with a smile and knew all the answers, like sauce info, portion sizes, etc. we ordered the Loaded Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer. I could have had these for my entree and be happy, they were so delicious! The perfect combination of tanginess from the tomatoes with the Wharf sauce, feta cheese, bacon, and chives. I was a little bummed that they did not have enough grits for a grits bowl, just enough for a couple of sides, so I changed my mind to the Honey Pecan Shrimp (fried) and I am glad I did. Spouse got the Wharf Shrimp (grilled). The shrimp and hush puppies were really great tasting! The grits were okay, but needed a little salt. The cashier at the register was also the person bussing tables, and he was serving food, and was the bartender as well. He was staying busy! The inside is decorated nicely and was clean.

We ordered the guacamole dip thinking it was the one on the menu, for $4.99, but it ended up being the $8.99 bowl that we could not find on the extensive menu. I had Ñoquis Gratinados with steak. it was good, the steak was okay, but would have preferred all the cuts of meat be the same size, and bite sized. Spouse had the Churrasco a lo Pobre, a taco, and a tamale. The taco was good. The tamale, although large in size did not have much pork in it. The meat on the churrasco a lo pobre plate was really tough, unless you really like to chew, and chew, and chew, think twice about ordering the churrasco a lo pobre plate. If you do order it, bring your dental floss. Although we spoke to the waiter about the tough meat, and the waiter admitted he tried cutting the meat and it was tough. After that, there was no attempt to replace the meat with a more tender piece nor was my spouse asked if he wanted to try a different dish. When paying for the meal, there was no discount offered for the tough meat on the plate. The eggs on the plate were also kind of over cooked and brown and crispy around the edges. Customer service is lacking. Unfortunately for the restaurant, we will not be patrons.
