I stopped here on a Friday afternoon for lunch and overall, i give it two thumbs up. I will start by saying that there is a bit of a language barrier (unless you speak Spanish), but I got the message conveyed and they placed my tacos before me. Before tacos they brought the chips and salsa to my table. It was good and the chips appeared to have been made in house. One thing that I found a bit different was that they brought out the onion and the cilantro on the side and you dressed them yourself. A nice way to put how much or how little you want on each taco. They also brought me both the red and the green sauce. The green was good, but the red was exceptional. For my tacos I chose the birria, chorizo and two carne asada tacos. All were very good but if I had to pick a favorite, the chorizo probably would have earned that title. Service was good and the owner or manager came to my table to make sure that I thought all was well. All in all this is a good spot for tacos. I would suggest a visit. read more

What a treat on our way home. The chicken enchiladas that I ordered were spicy but I was warned! The rice and beans were great. My dining companion had a combo plate with a bit of everything on it. He raved about the stuffed poblano pepper. The tacos were very good along with the tostadas and burritos. The service was friendly. I will be back again! read more

Based on the other reviews I was expecting a killer authentic experience. Well I guess is was authentic but the steak in the tacos were chewy and didn't have the flavor I expected. The kids chicken was way over fried. The guacamole was very good but that's about all I would suggest. They had a nice variety of sauces to go with their unseasoned tacos. I didn't expect a $40 meal for 2 adults and 2 kids based on the $ I would say this is $$$ based on my bill. I felt a little dirty when I left. Wouldn't go here again. read more

This restaurant has some good authentic Mexican food. The salsa is nice and spicy. I tried to tacos and they were great. If I win again I would probably try the burrito or the fajitas I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant as it's a small mom-and-pop shop. The one and only complaint I have is that they did not solve the chips after they were done cooking so that the salt would stick. Don't let the looks on the outside of the restaurant scare you away. I hope they keep the changing menu and fresh food it's hard to find places like this nowadays. Just as a sidenote there seem to be a good deal of locals that frequent this place. Passing through on a drive from Florida back to Atlanta. The circumstances when Yelp is most helpful. Not much opened in this area or to choose from as a vegetarian/GF eater but some request to the owner to design some veggie tacos and a super delicious enchilada verde dish were perfect fuel for the road. First off the customer service was hands down the most genuine service I've received at a restaurant! Ate the Chorizo street tacos, and delicious. The guac was chunky and fresh, I'm still craving it! They have a cart set up for you to dress them your self. Loved that. The veggies are fresh. I noticed different pepper plants outside, so a lot is grown and made from scratch. Very authentic! I knew I was in the right place when I saw a bottle of Valentina at the table. They made us shrimp fajitas, which wasn't even on the menu. They were so flavorful and saucey. I lived in Mexico City for 2 years, and ate street tacos for lunch on weekdays. The tacos here are pretty legit. Why? The tortilla doesn't taste store bought... a good taco ought to begin with a good tortilla. I asked for five tacos, two steak and three carnitas, dresses only with onion and cilantro. Add to that a spritz of lime and a dash of either red or green salsa. Wash it down with an horchata. The tortilla is slightly browned in some of the carnitas grease. This ain't Mexico, but I'm pretty sure this is as close as you can get in Dothan (gonna check out other taco shops here and see what's up...) Minus one star because I think they could've added a little more meat to the tacos. read more

VERY disappointed in dinner tonight! The Carne Asada looked like a 'steak-um' ( one tiny, thin steak-um) and had ZERO FLAVOR. My recommendation is to go during lunch...the food will be fresher and you are less likely to get leftovers. Delicious, fresh food with friendly service. The manager was wandering, welcoming everyone and was not the least bit dismayed by my request for vegetarian options. More authentic Mexican food than the Tex-mex chains and yet they don't add lard to their beans in order to be accessible for all. Mi Rancho is rapidly becoming our go-to Mexican Restaurant. As I sit here on my balcony digesting my food I can't help but keep smiling. After trying several Mexican restaurants here in Dothan I am elated after eating here! When I was seated by the friendly waitress and I saw a bottle of Tapatio on the table I knew I was in for a treat. Most places go wrong w Challihahahapapa or whatever its called. But Tapatio? They know their stuff. The salsa is freshly made (I watched them making it in the kitchen) and DELICIOUS! No store bought bottle crap here! The street tacos were straight out of Cali (where I am from) the green sauce they brought w them was the bomb.com or whatever kids are saying now a days... lit? The green sauce was lit!! I also ordered the Mi mucho burrito and dumped some more homemade salsa and green sauce on top. Lets just say I literally sang my own personal rendition of Etta Jame's "At Last"on the way home. First off the salsa is nothing special. Tried the lunch steak fajitas which were really cheap at $7.50. They were pretty good but be aware they are not served with luttace, sour cream, or even flour tortilas. I came here with a group, and wasn't really in the mood for standard Mexican fare. Ended up picking an item off the menu that was a advertised as a sandwich using Mexican bread. It was loaded down with beef tips and green pepper and onions, and turned out to be pretty tasty. Best authentic Mexican food around town. I highly recommend the tacos. Staff is extremely polite but slight language barrier. Red and green sauce is tasty but spicy. I have a feeling that with their food they will outgrow their current place. Try them!!! Well the food is still wonderful but starting to look haphazardly thrown together on the plate. Service is slacking if the two girls are working with no management then you'll see them when they bring drink and take order then again when food is ready.
