Excellent food, service and atmosphere!! Best Mexican food in this area at the best prices.

I decided to try El Rincon, based on reviews. The young man at the front was very friendly. The young lady taking my order was unable to provide recommendations or answer questions. I tried asking what region of Mexico were the dishes inspired by. In reviewing the menu I was confused, there was a very small selection of traditional Mexican dishes. Where was the Chili Verde, Carnitas, Birria, Pozole, Lengua, Chili Colorado, Tamales, Tostadas, just to name a few. I ended up getting the Chicken enchiladas with green sauce, cheese, cream and fresh onions and beans on the side. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. My order came out and the enchiladas were actually Cold!!! Sent it back, when the order came back out they were hot. They had very little green sauce, lightly sprinkled cheese on top, none inside and cream and onion also on top. The chicken was shredded with a red color. I have to say that, because there was no sauce in the meat it was dry and I felt, it did not have flavor. The beans were actually not bad, I ate those with the chips. There were several groups of people in the restaurant enjoying themselves and appeared to be enjoying the food as well. However I feel if you want traditional Mexican food, like you would get in Baja region this is definitely NOT the place to go. read more

Food was amazing! The best guacamole hands down of any restaurant in Dothan! Also loved that they have vegetarian options. The Service was wonderful, Juan was our go-to guy! A very large very clean restaurant. Was greeted at the door with a friendly smile and even when we left the hostess opened the door for us to exit. Everyone was extremely friendly and polite. The food was delicious and fresh. Margaritas were fantastic ( had the skinny ones) not overly sweet and refreshing. They really do try to provide the best service/ food possible. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Dothan. My husband isn't the biggest fan of Mexican food but even he said he'd be back. Yay finally a taco Tuesday place or any time for a nice meal. read more

This is Us... as in You Had Me At Hola! The moment we stepped inside for the first time, it was a visual and sensory yes! Yes! Clean -- Si! Welcoming -- Si! And, some delightful smells from the meals passing by! Our server recommended the Fajita salad with chicken to me and it has quickly become my favorite. I can only say that it's a feast for the eyes and the stomach. As delicious as the picture looks! I can also vouch for the small house margarita as well as very tasty chips and salsa. My hubby loves the chicken fajitas well done (we both love our veggies grilled dark,) and their beef enchiladas. The accompanying rice and beans are much better than other restaurants we've frequented. We tend to arrive earlier than most patrons, so it's usually not too busy and maybe why we get such great service, but I doubt it! Great food, a clean restaurant and great servers will always be appreciated--muchas gracias El Rincon and staff!!! read more

I heard about El Rincon from a few people. I'm so glad I decided to try it. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were warmly welcomed & VERY well taken care of. My daughter ordered a plain cheese quesadilla with a side of rice. I ordered the street tacos. Everything was DELICIOUS! I'll go back to try the shrimp soup. This place is beautiful! The staff was over the top! The food is fantastic! We had a large party and the food came out hot and delicious! We all got something different and really enjoyed it! The carne asada chorizo tacos are fire. The queso is amazing. Service is awesome. We like going there in busy nights because El Rincon isn't busy since it's on the east side of town and it's mainly a lunch place. read more
