My family surprised me with cupcakes from this bakery for my shower, and I am still thinking about how amazing they were. Every single flavor was incredible, but the key lime pie with the graham cracker completely stole the show -- it was unlike any cupcake I've ever had. The filling was so flavorful and perfectly balanced and so FRESH! And the strawberry guava was amazing as well, flavorful, and very unique! Not only did they taste phenomenal, but the presentation was absolutely beautiful. You could tell so much care and attention to detail went into everything. All of the guests were raving about them the entire time and kept asking where they were from. I will 100% be using this business for every party moving forward. Highly, highly recommend. the flavors are unforgettable and the presentation is truly stellar. Thank you so much!

Overdue review but needed! We had Eva do our wedding cake and a year later we had the frozen piece we saved and it was still as good as ever! We got the strawberry guava for one layer and lemon almond for the other. The buttercream was amazing and flavors perfect. I still am told by friends that it was the best cake they had. Definitely buy here.

Cute little local bakery. Love the butter cream cake here. They always have a lot of flavor to choose from. Other than the cake i don't love other things and they really don't have much to choose from. I ordered a petite size cake for my anniversary. It just comes plain when you order. They can't do frosting or anything else beside writting letters on top unless you special order on the website or something. I got some flowers to put on top so it looks less plain. I like the cake here but i found there is less buttercream when you get a whole cake vs when you get the cake cup and that's my favorite part, and what make this bakery stands out from other. The cake is moist and not too sweet. I would get some cake cup here when i crave buttercream cake but not sure about ordering for a special occasion or something.

That focaccia is so good. I can't even get over it. I am an Italian descent and I know quite a bit about bread and focaccia and you have the golden touch. The dough is divine on its own and you have just the right amount of sea salt to really bring out the delicate flavors. I love that touch. I believe you must use a high-quality olive oil as well. Anyway, Yum! and thanks! The only thing I didn't like about the cake is I wish I would have ordered a bigger size. It was so good. The cake itself was so delicate and moist. The blackberry compote was absolutely decadent in it's richness and a wonderful pairing with the light and fluffy white cake.

At long last, I have found a craveable cinnamon roll! (Why are they so hard to find?) The cream cheese icing is well-balanced, tangy, and not too sweet. I will definitely return for one of these brioche cinnamon rolls in the near future. Note: they are currently only available on Saturday and Sunday. I also picked up a chocolate chip cookie for my daughter and a walnut chocolate chip cookie for my husband. They both gave the cookies rave reviews. Glad to have Full Belly Bakery in the vicinity and look forward to returning one weekend soon.

Mother's Day special Petite cake size

Last minute find for Mother's Day. The cake was super cute with yellow and pinkish buttercream flowers. I didn't actually get to taste it though. It was a bit pricey for such a small cake but it was a gift for MIL. What I did like was their mini lemon meringue tart. It was absolutely delicious and well priced!

Cute pastry shop conveniently located across from the Safeway in Montclair. Not open on Monday and Tuesday. A variety of different options including rolls and pastry. Now serving coffee so grab breakfast and walk around the village. The pies are excellent and my favorite is the key lime pie. Pre-order for special occasions. Staff is friendly and helpful as it is hard to choose. Support a local baker who was born and raised in Oakland.

New bakery in town! Located in the busy Montclair Village where the old Subway Sandwich establishment use to be. Parking is not easily found but a nice walk through the village is always great! The ambiance is trendy, small and casual. I walked in this weekend for the first time & was looking for a yummy cake to feed 14-16 people. Unfortunately they do not have pre-made cakes but I absolutely appreciated them offering to make one with a turn around of 2-3 hours. Any other establishment would have said "no we don't have any and we also can't do it" ...and would have just let the customer walk out the door to bring business elsewhere. So for this I admire their hustle. I was thrilled! I picked the 14-16 person guava, vanilla cake (tall) for $84.00 . I did not receive a call to let me know it was ready BUT they are very punctual and had my cake ready by the time we had a greed on/ the moment I picked it up. To my surprise the size of the cake is so small for 14-16 people although the cakes have tall size options, i was just amazed. I come from a family of cake lovers and was super bummed and worried this wouldn't be enough cake! So I had to run to Lucky's and just get a cheap 14 person Oreo cake to compensate from not having enough. I guess this cake is meant to be eaten in very very small pieces, they even include a card with their cakes on how to "maximize" your cake lol. You basically have to cut your cakes halfway point and give your guest the bottom part, while others get the top part with all of the writing and jelly on top. The taste was VERY sweet - someone went way too heavy on the sugar!!! The butter cream is too thick and it's obvious you're consuming butter. My family has a sweet tooth & everyone was amazed at how small the pieces were but mostly how sweet the cake was compared to the cheap Oreo cake... the Oreo cake was less sweet. I couldn't believe it. I really thought this was going to be an amazing cake and I wanted myself and family to be amazed but it just didn't happen with this one. Especially after the amazing customer service I experienced when I walked in. The price, the size, the sugar .. it just wasn't it. And I'm so bummed I won't purchase another cake from my local bakery. It was too expensive for such a mediocre experience. see attached picture for size reference. I will though purchase their focaccia and cinnamon rolls! The samples tasted heavenly! Which is why i was even more bummed about the cake.

We really enjoyed working with Eva at Full Belly Bakery to create our wedding cake! From initial discussions to the day-of, Eva was super helpful in helping us figure out what kind of cake would be best suited for our wedding given our tastes, guest count, and budget. She also worked seamlessly with our florist and coordinator to make sure that the cake was delivered on time and also decorated beautifully with flowers from our florist. We had many guests comment on how delicious our strawberry guava cake was, including from folks who don't usually like desserts. We love that we'll be able to go visit Full Belly Bakery and have a slice of our wedding cake again!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Eva and tasting a few of her signature desserts and wow! I cannot wait for my moms birthday so I can order a full size Caramel Pecan Carrot cake. The cake jar was a good treat but I need bigger and MORE!!! Update: I went home and warmed the Carrot cake and the cookie up.... 10/10 highly recommend!!!

    Not only beautiful but delicious!

The moment you walk into the shop, you'll notice the current flavor offerings displayed on colorful ice cream-shaped signs across the wall to the right. I could spend an eternity studying each flavor, but there's limited space to queue indoors so really gotta decide on a flavor and serving style fast in order to keep the line moving. Among the flavors were some classics, fruity/floral mixes, and dessert-inspired ones too, a whole range so there's something for everyone. I got the Breakfast Brownie and it was unforgettable! It tasted creamy and delightful without being overwhelming, while the cornflakes mixed inside added a satisfying crunch to each bite. I came back a second time before a show at Crybaby, a smaller venue across the street. Grabbing a scoop here to-go has naturally become part of my pre-concert routine at this point and I plan to come back again next time to explore more flavors. I was surprised that no one spoke of business specifics in their reviews. There is a limit to how many can come in; and you are not allowed to touch anything when inside. There are also no prices listed anywhere. We thought this was odd. Our order: * Personal Peach Cobbler * Walnut Brownie * Banana Pudding For these 3 items, our total was over $25. The service was friendly but a bit awkward. You are only able to see cases of dessert options, it is more of a pick-up point, not so much a bakery location you can browse. I wouldn't suggest coming as a large group, there is no where to sit to enjoy your baked goods and parking is very difficult. While the cobbler and banana pudding were good, I wasn't a fan of the brownie. My partner enjoyed the cobbler a lot, but when we did the calculations, the prices were astronomical. I'm not sure what gourmet difference the items contained, but we likely would not come back to this bakery considering prices and parking. The location is cute, in theory, but with no actual location or displays, or price lists- what you pay for doesn't balance out. The lack of transparency for prices was very sus to us. I'm sure the business will continue on especially with how much they charged. I can't imagine the bakery location and building rent costing a lot as far as operating costs; as it is small, and not expansive at all. The price of the baked goods doesn't even go towards branded packaging. Which could be understandable. The only beverages available that I seen was Nesquik. Steep prices with no justification - especially when you have other bakeries in the area, in addition to Nation's for Pies, very affordable and classic as well. E&J's has a great banana pudding and cobbler as well for $6- they are also a Black-owned business and family operated. Absolutely no bad intent, just wanting to share transparency in my review so Yelpers know that prices are not listed, which means they are subject to fluctuation- in this economy that is not a fair way of doing business. One star per item we liked, for this review. As much signage is visible upon entry regarding rules and limited persons for entry at a time- not one area provided prices; only signs that tell you not to touch. It's required by law for prices at every establishment to be listed, according to SB 478 for general consumer goods and services in California.

Overall, it's been a good experience every time. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of day. Most of the parking is on the street, so you'll need to keep an eye out for pedestrians and bicyclists while looking for a spot. That's probably the biggest inconvenience of visiting this place. There is usually a 15 to 20-minute wait whenever we come for dessert, but we've always been seated within the quoted wait time, which we appreciate. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so the dining area can feel crowded. Tables are very close together, and you're practically sitting back-to-back with other guests. Because of this, the noise level can get pretty high, and it's easy to overhear conversations from nearby tables. The desserts are the highlight here. The BingSu is excellent, and the lava cake is one of our favorites. The menu is accessed through a QR code, making ordering simple and convenient. Food portions are decent, although prices are definitely on the premium side. Service is efficient, and the food and desserts usually arrive pretty quickly. We used to go to their city location regularly, but over the years we've found ourselves visiting this location more often because the area feels more comfortable and convenient for us. That has made this our go-to spot whenever we're craving dessert. Overall, this is a great place for dessert. The quality of the desserts keeps us coming back, but the difficult parking situation and cramped seating prevent it from being a full 5-star experience. Would definitely return for the BingSu and lava cake.

Step inside and go directly to the dessert display to place an order. They're also on DoorDash. Can't wait to see what Chef Nile comes up with next!
