Just finished taking my family here. Shot here many times with my family and staff. Adam was completely inappropriate to us. From threatening to kick us out before we started carrying on about bullets that I bought there denying i got them there. Check your account history. Going on about how expensive his scorpion gun was and threatening to kick us out before we started. Next he corrected me on having my unloaded gun on the bench without any magazines which I completely agree with the correction. His gesture on the other had was completely inappropriate saying to me 'what if I pulled my gun' whilst placing his hand on his holster. Intimidation really? Get your act together I'll be taking my business elsewhere 100% read more

Love this firing range - Staff is so helpful, I have been frequenting this location for 4 years. I received my CHL training here. They offer ladies night, couples nights to make it fun and affordable for people to come and enjoy. They have various guns for rent and eye & ear wear on site for purchase. read more

I decided to give this place another shot, went by to buy an RMR sight for a glock I bought earlier the same day at another store. The rmr sight was considerably more than what you can find online, I stopped and saw the glock 17 MOS I bought earlier that day and it was $75 more then what i paid from a glock dealer literally down the street. My first bad experience happened here when it took them 2 months and $175 to mount a scope on my deer rifle, and they damaged the stock as well. In their defense they said they would fix it but that they weren't sure what the material was. I took the gun and walked out. $175 dollars is ridiculous. I guess the range is nice but if you want to spend your money on guns and gear I recommend going anywhere else. read more

I used to work there I am a single mother and when I left the owner wasn't happy and refused to pay me. I did the work and deserved the pay I rightfully earned and needed the money for my son but apparently the owner needed it more. He didn't just take money from me he took it from my son. God bless them I wish them the best. read more

This is the place I always go to shoot, buy equipment, rent guns, or go to know more about guns. The staff is incredible. It's a small place but the staff is very knowledgeable and not at all mean or snobby like other gun places. My wife and I are new to the gun game and so we have lots of questions and they are more than helpful. They even have discounts from M-Th depending on the days. Eugene, Erik were very helpful. Well there were many more but sadly I can't remember their names. The white guy who loves XD gun is very nice also and that white lady on Sunday's. read more

I stopped by to check them out and I was totally amazed by the time these guys spent with me to make sure I had the right rifle for my African Safari trip. Mekhi demonstrated his patience with my wife and I especially me. After the third and final visit I was ready to purchase and Mekhi took his time to walk through everything once again. If you want quality and service with the right price then you need to make a visit and see these guys at work. I am more than pleased with my purchase and cannot wait until my rifle comes in scope and all. read more

This place is horrible... Their range staff has a bunch of attitude and aren't helpful. Save your time and money go across the street to Athena which is a much better range and shop with helpful and friendly staff. You get what you pay for. Oh and everything they sell is incredibly overpriced.. No wonder no one is in your store..Athena is way better! Across the highway. read more

Friendly, welcoming, and experienced! - the employees are very welcoming, my first time here Matthew already knew what type of hand gun I was looking for. Went into the shooting range shot three different firearms and the one firearm I ended up buying was exactly the firearm Matthew picked out for me ! Thanks Mat! They were very patient when it came to instructions on how to load and how to hold the gun. My first time holding a firearm and they were patient with me ! Down to earth place! Will recommend especially for first time firearm users and first time buyers ! Glad I came. read more

Cam S. made this experience awesome. Customer service was spot on. Free ear muffs to rent to block out sound. Easy to come in and sign up even if it's the first time coming to this range. Although it's a smaller range with 10 lanes (5 non-rifle), there is a good selection of guns with decent pricing for rent. If you have questions feel free to ask them since they're super friendly. On a Sunday it was pretty pack around 1 pm right after they opened at 12. read more

Came here for the first time with a couple close friends. We had an absolute blast!!! They brought their son and Stew was more than helpful in explaining everything. He taught us everything from safety to knowledge about each gun we were shooting. We will definitely be back.... really appreciate the great service and good times!! read more

Full Armor Firearms - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Houston, Texas

Short Version: I purchased a red dot for $100, later that day I found out that the same optic was available from its manufacturer's website for $40. There is no return policy and the optic was specifically recommended to me by the gentleman working the counter. I think this a 120% markup is ridiculous. Long Version: I went into the store to window shop earlier today. Had a great time talking to the gentleman at the counter, and I ended up buying a red dot from them (which was recommended to me). It was an impulse buy, and I never asked about their return policy. When I got home I looked up the optic online, to see reviews of it, because it was a brand I was not familiar with until now (Firefield), while looking through the company website I found the optic I had just purchased, the listed price online, from the manufacturer was $40, I had paid $100 for the same optic. I then called to ask about a return policy, where I was politely told that returns were not accepted but to rectify the issue I was offered a range pass. I was looking for a neighborhood gun store to spend my time and money at, and I am severely unimpressed and will not be returning. It was over a 100% mark up, and that was after the sale they were having that day, and the offer of a range pass, I will not be accepting, because I do not want to be affiliated with a company that takes advantage of their customers that way. I would NOT recommend to a friend. read more

You can rent and shoot fully automatic weapons here. Nicely lit range and great ventilation system. Prices are $15.00 for a lane plus one dollar for additional targets. I have not purchased any weapons from this location. This is a popular spot for international travelers due to the automatic weapon rental and location. Staff at the gun counter have been friendly considering the serious nature of the range. If you rent a gun you have to purchase the ammo there. Lastly: Only a fool would try to break into this place! They have at armed employee at the store all night and he is a good shot with an assault rifle. Check the news. read more

James really knows his stuff & is very helpful, but the prices are ridiculous and make Collectors look like a bargain. You could save hundreds by shopping around. They have a good selection of guns, especially NFA stuff. However the service from the apparent teenagers who work there and appear to fancy themselves operators/commandos is terrible and you'll be called "bro" a bunch while waiting forever to get helped or pay. If you want to throw money around, this is the place to do it, but I'd go elsewhere. read more

This place is our go-to indoor range. They're super friendly and knowledgeable, and very eager to help. I've gone many times with my husband. We have been most impressed with Eugene (big Asian guy, HK-lover, friendliest demeanor). He patiently answered all our questions, let us see as many guns as we wanted, and gave us very accurate and candid advice about each gun and brand. Seriously, the best customer service ever. I also decided to take a group of girls to the range for Monday Night Ladies Night. Seven of us went, with only two having ever shot a gun before. Erik and Brandon were SUPER patient and thorough in their explanations. (It was like a condensed CHL class - excellent instruction!) They even helped us pick out the guns to shoot with. Two of the ladies were extremely scared of even touching a gun, much less shooting one. After giving a general group instruction on the basics of gun safety, lingo and shooting, Erik worked with each girl individually, showing her how to load, aim, shoot, etc. after they kind of got the hang of it, Erik and Brandon would watch as they shot and then give advice and tips on how to improve. Erik is curt at first. Not rude, just no nonsense. But he's surprisingly coaxing if youre genuinely nervous or scared. And Brandon is just super nice and sweet. Thanks for being so awesome, guys! We'll be back soon! read more

SUCH BAD SERVICE. Seriously not ONE polite person working there it's ridiculous. Kicked us out for not specifying what bullets to use when it does NOT say which specific kind you can use so they charged us and let us shoot shortly after kicked us out because of our bullets so took our money basically. read more

I have been here to use the lanes for Shooting and it's a reasonable $15. This review is strictly for FFL transfer my wife did for me for Father's Day. Believe me I would not pay this rate. Like others have previously said everything in the store is overpriced. I purchased 2 guns here and regret giving them my business. Very poor customer service. I have taken my business else where

Been shooting here plenty of times before and never had a problem. Showed up this morning about 10 minutes before they open. As soon as they open the doors all the students from the gun training classes walked in. No problem I waited for them to check in. While waiting a guy shows up with him and five friends. Mind you after I had been there about 15 mins And somehow him and his five buddies were put in front of the line while I had to wait for five more people to get checked in, most of them had never been there so the process took longer than usual. After about the 3rd person I left. Unacceptable. I even waited for them to open instead of choosing the range around the corner. Won't make that mistake again. read more

Scammers- they charge $150 for a stripped PSA lower. This is $49.99 online and other shops charge between $15-35 for transfer. This place is a joke. The dude offered me a discount after I laughed at the price. Said I also have to take TAX and Shipping into consideration. How does that add up to an extra $100? Other shops in Houston sell it for $60-70 out the door! read more

I am very disappointed with the service at Full Armor. My friend and I walked in today with the full intention of purchasing several firearms but the customer service was absolutely terrible. The sales rep wouldn't even acknowledge us for the first 15 minutes while dealing with another customer. After said customer was directed to the gun range, the sales associate returned to the counter and asked us to wait while he helped another customer who was there before us. I didn't mind this so much because I understand that customers need to be helped in the order they came in and the store did appear to be understaffed. However, the customer ahead of us told the sales rep that he had felonies on his record and that he was there so his son could purchase a firearm for him but in his son's name. The sales rep explained to the customer that what he wanted was a straw purchase and illegal under Texas law. This should have been the end of the discussion and the customer should have been asked to leave as he was attempting to do something illegal. However, the sales rep continued to explain over and over why he couldn't sell this guy a gun while completely ignoring my friend and I. Another sales rep finally came out from the back of the store and saw us waiting and essentially told us to continue to be patient. Several other employees and the owner were all present for this yet they ignored us and we never even got to look at the firearms we wanted to purchase. As a small business owner myself, I know what it's like to be busy and short handed but in situations where I see customers have been patiently waiting for an extended period of time I'll take a break from whatever paperwork I may be doing and help them. The owner in this case did not do that. He and the other employees continued to go about their office work rather than helping us, the customers. Moral of the story, we waited more than 30 minutes and never got any service. I eventually just left. I'll never be returning to this store. They clearly do not care about customer service. read more

I took my carrying license class here. Mike was the absolute best. My fire arm had a few issues. The manager helped me clear it out & gave me pricing to fix it. Everyone was patient. If you read my review previous to this I bet you are wondering why I even went back here after the time I had before. I went on Groupon and I purchase the class and once you purchase the class they give you the location to the class. So I was thinking to myself oh boy here we go. The class was wonderful the atmosphere was wonderful. P.S. The person I wrote the bad review for is no longer there. Check it out. read more

PREDATORY BUSINESS TACTICS!! BEWARE! Went in to purchases firearm for home protection, was originally going to academy but instead went in to support a local business. It was strange that they made me pay for my fire arm prior to the background check but went along with it anyways in good faith. My background check comes in as pending which Is okay considering I share a name with my father and it happens, the next day I get a call saying i couldn't purchase the firearm (which is fine considering I didn't really want one to begin with but wanted it just in case to protect my new family and newborn child) They proceed to say that I can get my refund but they would have to take 25 percent of the total price for a "restocking fee" which is absurd considering the firearm never left their possession they offered me to appeal the background check but I dont have the time to deal with it with between taking care of my son and there being multiple reports nightly about gun violence and armed robberies in my complex we could not justify the wait! (They proceeded to insinuate that I was a criminal because I didn't want to appeal the background check, why would I prepurchase a gun knowing I was a criminal?) I refused to appeal with them and decided to invest the firearm purchase into home security! This place used predatory tactics to trick new gun owners into pre paying for the firearm and if you get denied for whatever reason they charge you for 25 percent of the purchase to basically put the gun back in the display case. THEY WILL NOT RETURN MY MY MONEY BACK EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO TRANSFER OF GOOD AND SERVICES! STAY AWAY!!!!! unless you like over paying for something that is our countries main export lmao Glad predatory gun stores are going to get shut down with new upcoming gun control legislature, I'm sure they need the money since they know there's a countdown on their business! Nice facility with rifle and pistol lanes. Store is very good with a nice selection. You can find better prices online, but that will always be the case, no matter where you go. The key, though, is the staff....fantastic people that are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. No "hard a$$ attitudes" here....just people that enjoy the shooting sports and share their experience and enthusiasm with their customers. I've been to several gun ranges and stores in the area, but I gladly drive a bit further (for me) to get here. It is DEFINITELY worth it. read more

This place is fantastic! The staff is super nice, knowledgeable and really helpful. My wife and I were shopping for her new carry and I wanted her to try a few before she made up her mind. This was the only place I found that had the Walther CCP for rent, so we headed over. If you haven't shot a lot of different guns, you'd be amazed at how different each one handles, even in the same caliber,so they have a cool option where you can rent 3 guns for a reduced price. This is GREAT for those who are shopping based on how a gun shoots and feels, rather than how it looks. The range is well air conditioned too. It's small, but very comfortable. We like it a lot. read more

Every one I have met there has been very friendly and professional. Met one of the owners, nice guy and happy to talk about guns (or cars) for as long as you like. Range was clean and prices were good when you consider they don't care how many guns you have (unlike some other, greedier ranges in Houston where it is per person/per gun, that sucks!). Bought a couple of guns there, prices were higher then say Academy but the service was a lot better too (Academy is okay but usually just one guy. FAF usually has several guys/gals, and a dog, around to help). And their custom stuff is amazing!! Might have to wait a little longer for work to be done then I would like, but the work is excellent. read more

I been patron of Full Armor Firearms since James first open and before all the expansions. I have bought a gun or two from them over the years and visit their range couple times too. Their customer service and friendliness always been excellent. About two months ago I was having an issue with one of my accessories for my deer rifle so I went in and saw them about it. They were able fix the issue but while I was in there we got to talking and I found out that they now offer onsite gun smithing services now. So gave their's gun smiths a try and had them replace my factory stock on ruger predator with very nice aftermarket stock. Dan and everyone at full amor firearms did phenomenal job on replacing the stock and I will be coming back to them in future for all my gun smithing needs. I strongly recommend full armor all your firearm needs. read more

Great place if you are a novice like me or an expert. I walked in and 3 people said welcome within 2 minutes. I had two people help me pick out the revolver I wanted. Brandon "Barcode" helped me in the end with the purchase, showed me how to clean it and then gave me a lesson on safety and use of the gun. I was a little nervous but he made me feel better so by the time I walked out I knew what I needed to practice to get more comfortable using the gun. They have free lessons and also CHL classes which I plan on going back for. Definitely a great place. read more
