I called ahead to confirm the gunsmith was available, immediately drove over, only to find he'd left for lunch. I left my shotgun for a butt-pad replacement estimate, which required giving my contact info and a photocopy of my driver's license. They then called me back demanding I return because it wasn't "properly checked in" for storage. The verbal quote exceeded $100. Disappointed by their unprofessionalism, I retrieved the gun--only to find it covered in dog hair from the store's roaming dog. Price is a little high, being the same as another range I've been to that had much more accommodations and tech. Came in specifically to try the G18, didnt realize it was in a chassis as I had expected it to be as stock as possible. Was a very humbling experience that I would try again. The people running this place are not safe I went to shoot with wife and a group of young kids that said "they never shot before" were handed an M4 and a glock As we went in later one of them was handling gun sitting down with hand on trigger and was pointing at us !! They're charging $100 for a DD vertical foregrip that averages $34 retail. They're also charging $20 for BCM rail cover kit that averages $10 on the market. These are such huge profit margins being made by this business that go beyond what the manufacturer has them listed for at retail. I don't see this as an accident. This is pure classic greed. Selling a $34 DD vertical grip at $100 is a 191% markup from average market retail rates. I don't see this as an accident by this business. Makes me think this business perpetuated in the bad business practice of marking up ammo prices during COVID's disruptions to our supply chains aka they contributed to inflationary practices which were price gouging practices. Within the past two months, I have visited this facility twice and have enjoyed both visits. It's located in a strip center on the frontage road of the Katy Freeway. Yelp location is correct with plenty of parking in front. Inside is a well stocked pro shop with many firearms and accessories. The shooting range has about 10 lanes with half dedicated to handguns only and the other half for both handguns and long guns. The distance of the lanes is about 20 yards deep. Each shooting bay is wide enough for two people to stand side by side which helps when instructing. Regular adult prices are about $16 and you can bring as many guns as you want to shoot. This also includes your choice of one of their paper targets. They will provide hearing protection free if you need it but if you don't have eye protection you will have to pay $2 for a set of their glasses which you get to keep. They give you an hour for that rate and if they are slow will let you stay a little longer. Of course like most indoor ranges they do not allow aluminum or steel cased ammo so leave that at home as they check your ammo before you shoot. At the end of your session when leaving they ask you approximately how many rounds you fired. This is to help them keep count for range maintenance purposes. On both visits, check in was easy and friendly. Inside the bays the electric target return pulleys worked fine and there was adequate lighting. I wish the distance markers were better. The walkway behind the bays is kind of small so people may be passing close behind you when you are shooting. Visitors are allowed inside to watch for free but must have eye and ear protection of course. Or they can watch from outside of the bays on the tv monitors. Today (Monday) was ladies night so a friend and I went to let off some stress. Great location with a lot of knowledge. Several targets to choose from to make the experience fun for you. I went there to take my buddy shooting and they charged us $200 and then they also charge me for some bullets that would not fit my gun when I told her I needed 44 special she said 44 I said yeah and then she sold it to me can I find out is a 44 mag won't if for my gun an she said I said yes that was the size I said no 44 special well no returns !!!! The staff was friendly and funny which made my visit pleasant, I don't need a VIP treatment just be nice and funny and they delivered! The place is pretty clean, smaller than I am used to but nothing different from any other place in the Houston area. So much potential but like everyone says on this review board they are way way overpriced. Even their range fees are ridiculous. The range is at best mediocre.. it's a real shit hole overall compared to other ranges. The owner is a nice guy I will admit I've spoken a few times and I go in there every now and then but I've never purchased anything as they are ridiculously overpriced. I've been here on multiple occasions both to shoot and purchase, as well as getting the slide of my pistol coated. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating each time. They have a great warranty policy for guns purchased from them. The range is well kept and has great air conditioning/ventilation. If you rent one of their guns, you have to purchase their ammo at that time (can't buy the ammo, take it home, and bring it back), but that's understandable. I feel like most places are like that. If you're shooting your own firearms, you can bring your own as long as it's brass. No shotguns. If you've never shot before or are just looking to improve, the staff are happy to teach you - for free. From threatening to kick us out before we started carrying on about bullets that I bought there denying i got them there. Check your account history. Going on about how expensive his scorpion gun was and threatening to kick us out before we started. I decided to give this place another shot, went by to buy an RMR sight for a glock I bought earlier the same day at another store. The rmr sight was considerably more than what you can find online, I stopped and saw the glock 17 MOS I bought earlier that day and it was $75 more then what i paid from a glock dealer literally down the street. My first bad experience happened here when it took them 2 months and $175 to mount a scope on my deer rifle, and they damaged the stock as well. In their defense they said they would fix it but that they weren't sure what the material was. I took the gun and walked out. $175 dollars is ridiculous. I guess the range is nice but if you want to spend your money on guns and gear I recommend going anywhere else. read more
