My son and I really enjoy coming here. It's close to us, the facility is nice, and we can usually just relax and enjoy shooting without any drama or hassle. The staff has always been super friendly, and one of the staff members is a retired Army veteran who was incredibly kind and honestly looked way too young to be retired As a retired Air Force veteran myself (and my son being a Citadel graduate), we appreciate places that feel welcoming, safe, and respectful. Shiloh has always had that kind of atmosphere for us. They also have separate areas depending on what you're shooting, including a rifle-only section, which is nice. Came in to shoot last Saturday afternoon. This range has a rustic look to it, like an old cabin. You have to sign a waiver form like any other shooting range before you start. They give you one target, ear and eye protection included. I'm not sure if the pricing is the same whether you use your own gun or rent one of theirs. We brought in ours and purchased a pack of 9mm ammo for $29. Being a first responder, they did give a discount but it wasn't much. Normal lane price for 2 shooters is $35, we paid $30. Extra targets are $2 each. They have the standard bullseye targets, but the fun one was the deck of cards. It was like a game and helped with aim practice. My date would call out what card to shoot and I would aim for it. A couple times I got it right on, but most times I got it right on the edge. Still proud tho! I bought another one to practice more! The echo is pretty loud in there. Either the ear protection didn't have enough padding or maybe it was the type of gun our neighbors were shooting. read more

My experience here was subpar. The representatives were rude and one seems to be cocky because he had a gun on his waist. I'll never forget him banging on the counter. I had a gun delivered to this location from Grab a Gun. It took this location over one month and several calls to get the Shiloh to return gun that I no longer wanted item. Not the same now that it's under new ownership. It used to be very laid back and friendly. As long as everyone was being safe they were okay with you. Now they inspect your ammo and try to get you to buy their ammo at twice market rates. They kept telling me I'm going to love the new target system they installed. The last ones were fine so I was curious why he kept talking up the new ones. I found out it's because the new ones are junk. I got to my lane and it barely worked without freezing before I had even taken my gun out of the case. I kept tight groups and went about my shooting. The range workers kept calling cease fire, going to look at other lane's target system, saying that it jammed because the guy shot it, and taking the guy back to the counter and charging him $200 for "damages". I have seen someone accidentally hit a target system before at a different range but they didn't punish him because it was an accident. After eating up the bullseye with my first target I recalled the target to replace the paper. It jammed again, just like it did when I first got to the range. Once I finally got my target to come back I decided to leave because I was afraid if the junk system broke they would accuse me and charge me like the did the other guy on the range. Whenever I got there at a time that used to be very busy and saw it was slow I thought I was lucky. Now I think it's because no one wants to come under the new ownership. I know I won't be going back. Really sorry to see the good owners move on. read more

I see from the owner's responses to several unhappy customers, including me, that he is not someone that takes criticism well. I went there to requal for my LTC instructors range time. I was met with a rookie instructor that wanted to use his timer. Problem is, I am tone deaf. He decided he didn't feel comfortable qualifying me. Never mind the fact that I am a 28 year civilian instructor and military instructor before that. Somebody needs to instruct this young man on how to cater to special needs individuals. For me, I invite any willing to learn, experience, and/or hone their skills, no matter age or challenges. We love coming here. There are a few ranges we have been to and this is one of the top on our list. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the employees that work here are always nice and friendly. On the plus side, Tuesdays are "Two for $20" days. Two people can shoot with two targets for only $21 (plus tax). If you want a nice hole in the wall shooting range with no fuss this is the place to practice your Texas style shooting. I had a laser on my glock 19 and they gladly sighted it in without me even asking. It was sighted perfectly. Beware any burglar that sees a red dot between the eyes. read more

This was our first time visit, but we'll definitely be back. My daughter wanted to learn to shoot for Christmas. We took a gun safety class together with both Jeff and Bryan. They were awesome! Super friendly, patient and made learning fun. I had shot before but it has been years and my daughter had never shot. They went over all the basics, safety and took us out to shoot and then let us run free. The place is small but totally family friendly. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and prices were good for classes, rental and even gun sales. I also noticed they have an archery area. It's as good as it gets for me since this was only the 2nd shooting range I have ever visited in my life. The last time was decades ago. I came here to get my class certification in CHL on a Saturday and found the class to be very informative and not boring. The class is scheduled I believe once every two weeks but you can check their website to confirm that. The personnel are very helpful and not condescending on newer folks that have barely popped their cherry in the firearm subject. A few times my gun jammed on me I was quickly aided on getting the misift out without a blink of an eye. Do not forget that you can get your 25% yelp check in on your range fee, I believe without it that it is $16. A box of 9mm's or .45's will cost you in the $26 a box for 50. There are targets that you can purchase but if you are in a crunch I would recommend you bring your own. They will rent you guns here to see if you like them and to even purchase them. Did you bring somebody who is not really interested in firearms or to protect themselves? Well there is a little waiting area they can sit on some comfortable couches/chairs. Restroom is pretty clean too, mind the comical paper above the facility. Parking is a little small but there is an expansion right behind it via a grassy area, just watch out when it rains you could possibly get stuck. Female friendly CHL classes are offered here too. These guys have a good memory more than I would be able to copy. I left my driver's license here about a month ago, when I came in one of the guys behind the counter asked me if I was XXXX XXXXXXX, naturally I said yes and was provided my lost license. I popped my gun shooter's cherry here. And the fellas at Shiloh made me super comfortable, relaxed and confident. Great first time I must say. This is a small indoor shooting range off the tiniest road along FM 1960. There's a big graveled parking lot, and it fills up fast after 5:30pm. What I loved, loved, loved about Shiloh are two things: *They are female friendly. Not only do they offer CHL classes, but they also offer Ladies Only CHL classes and Ladies Only handgun instruction led by one of the operator's wife. As I mentioned, it was my first time shooting, so Jeff helped me to find a suitable gun to shoot with. He showed me about five of his top pics for ladies, and I found two that I liked. He only charged me for one rental. *What I also appreciate about Shiloh is they are super patriotic and support the troops. My dear friend, and active military war vet of almost 15 years (and staff sergeant, ahem) was there to instruct me, and Jeff offered us a few discounts. Jeff also told my friend to next time bring a military photo of him to hang on the wall along with the others. Again, this is an indoor shooting range only, so the AR we brought was a no-go. Went to Shilohs today to practice shooting and to get more comfortable with guns. Because it's been a long time since I've shot a gun, I had to take a short class to learn the basics and go over safety. The class was short and to the point, it was also hands on which was nice. My instructor was Mariah, and she was awesome. I loved how she showed me how to do everything then corrected me if I needed it. Everyone there was super friendly and nice. Yesterday me and my friend went to a shooting range and let them know that we are not knowledgeable at all with guns and they let us know they could only give us pointers and we would have to try shooting by ourselves. Being intimidated by the whole place we left. We called Shiloh and talked to Andrew and he let us know to come right in! He walked us through thoroughly on how to hold the gun, load the magazine, and press the trigger. From there we grabbed our targets and Chad helped us with our stance and walked us through and comforted us cause we could tell we were nervous. The place was very welcoming and I'm already going back today. First time coming to this place. We usually go to Hotwells but they closed at 6 this place closes at 8. Its indoor so air conditioned a plus for a hot summer day. They have a good sized facility, staff was friendly and knew there stuff. This place is however is nothing special. At first our target wouldn't move. Turns out you have to manually pull the cable first then it would start working. I guess for the price its a pretty good deal. It is $16 a person which is nice since they don't charge per gun. Wow!! This place is awesome!!! My wife and I attended CHL class last Nov with Tracy, we are now both successful concealed carry citizens. Tracy was an excellent instructor, especially with with newbies! I soon realized my revolver was not the greatest conceal weapon, so I decided to switch to a semi automatic. I was greeted by Jeff. He spent over 1 hour with me, especially since I was new to semi autos. Jeff was super patient, never rushed me, and was always polite. He listened to all my concerns and helped me pick out my Glock 42! While I was waiting for the paperwork to process, he had Matt take me to the range to fire a double barrel handgun!
