This was my 2nd time at a range, but it's been so long, I consider it a first! We arrived on a Friday evening (which Wednesdays & Fridays are 2for1 entry). It wasn't crowded and getting signed in was a breeze. You have to sign a waiver + watch a short video. Afterward, you show your ID to the attendant and make your purchase. We brought our own firearm, protective eyewear, and aim sheets (idk what they're called). So, we only had to purchase ear protection and bullets. Take my advice and purchase the over the ear protection and not the small orange ones that go in the ear. Ear and eye wear are mandatory. $6 annual fee if it's your first time. They have memberships available. Ashton was the facilitator in the booths and he was SUPER helpful. I walked away feeling more confident and safe handling my firearm. He was patient, knowledgeable, and pleasant! Thanks so much for making this experience an enjoyable one! Spoke to Jeff told him wanted to shoot for an hour. said it was alright, proceeded to pay for four people to shoot for an hour only to be told 25 minutes in they were closing. nobody warned us before hand, had we known we were only shooting for 25 minutes we wouldn't of paid for an HOUR of range time. The main takeaways I want people to have are the following: 1) It's a clean store, with decent selection of firearms, and accessories ammunition. Lanes are well kept. It's a bit pricey. 2) The staff is hit or miss. They're either really nice or they're a condescending jerk. I have come here over a dozen times, and just about every time I have gone - there's always this one older guy at the counter with a bad attitude. For example, he asked if I needed eye and ear protection. To which I reply "No thanks" He sternly says "EVERYONE needs eye and ear protection on the lane" I tell him that I brought some for my wife and I. He asks "Okay well what about her?" In a stern manner I think to myself : is this supposed to be welcoming? Also, I already answered his damn question! I remind him again that I brought my own gear. Last time I went, I ask him about the price to rent a Desert Eagle along with the ammunition. He rolls his eyes and sighs. Tells me it's $70+ I just walk away because I want zero association with him. Is that a way to talk to customers? Seriously- Range USA cypress is miles better than this location. With that being said, I have just come to terms with the fact that if i want to shoot at Range USA on 1960 I will have to interact with jerks. My visit to Range USA Humble on June 16, 2025, was one of the most humiliating and racially charged experiences I've ever had as a paying customer. I brought my legally owned firearm and asked the manager for assistance with a jammed magazine. Instead of helping, he immediately treated me with suspicion -- questioning my intent simply because the gun was warm from sitting in my car. Then, in front of a line of customers, he loudly asked if I had a felony. I do not -- and even if I did, that should've been handled with discretion and respect. He also interrogated my teenage son, who had never been there before, as if we were doing something wrong just by being there. He claimed I was on a "do not serve" list, then proceeded to call his supervisor and discuss my personal background out loud at the counter. I was denied service without any valid explanation or policy violation. The only thing I did wrong was walk in as a Black man with my son. This wasn't just unprofessional -- it was public shaming, racial profiling, and a gross invasion of privacy. Range USA should be ashamed of how their staff treats law-abiding Black gun owners. I will never return, and I strongly encourage others -- especially people of color -- to think twice before spending your money here. read more

Brought the new year in with a bang, literally lol. Derrick helped us get signed in and taken care of and then Clay switched out a few different guns that we wanted to try. The Tavor X95 is a beautiful forearm, I thoroughly enjoyed shooting it. I've made my birthday demands now lol. There were a good amount of people there, but that did not change the experience at all. Everyone was friendly and I can't wait to go back. Lots of targets to choose from and the temperature was good - you can work up a sweat when you're focusing so hard lol. read more

After waiting almost half an hour to get service, the staff informed me that it was 8 pm and no longer could help me. It is an absolute shame that; after making me wait patiently, i was turned away because their lack of communication with their customers. All they had do was tell me half an hour before making me wait that they probably wouldn't have gotten to me; instead i wasted half an hour just to be rudely turned away. I have brought many guns at many gun ranges over the years and Range USA is by far the worst gun range I have been to. Usually the only reason I buy there is they are the only ones who have it in stock and that because no one wants to go through the ridiculous super long process of the paperwork that no other gun store requires. Range USA is pretty much the antigun company of the Houston and surrounding area. Overall, they need to get better staff that have some knowledge of guns and especially better management that don't waste people's time and money. Finally got to shoot some GUNS! I was able to get some 5.56mm ammo, which is in short supply everywhere here. The only ask that you shoot in the gun range to be eligible to purchase it. I had no problemo with that, because I was definitely there to shoot some guns. I shot the AR, 9mm, and a 45. All, the safety measures were being taken. There was good crowd control. They had sanitizer available. They have the ear plugs, protective eyewear, and even guns available to rent. I brought my own, so I am not sure how much they cost to rent. I also bought some targets with me, so I am not sure how much those are either. I liked this range. Its a pretty standard range, but no issues. read more

I never leave reviews, but I'm doing it now to warn others... HORRIBLE. For starters, the majority of their sales associates are incompetent and lack proper knowledge. It's clear that these are hobbyists who took up the trade to compensate for the lack of SOMETHING. I asked simple questions and got misguided answers. They expect you to inherently know to bring your weapons in their case, yet no other gun store around does this. Then, when I tell them that I don't have a case, they act as if they don't have a solution. I suggest that they let me use one's that they have for sale. They ask that we don't forget to return the cases- fair enough. The facility is nice, but they neglect to offer true customer service. When you enter the range, you are on a timer and the range master is rude. You enter the range, leave your cases on the back wall and the guns stay on your lane. This guys are super anal about letting someone stand behind you to watch you shoot, or allow another shooter to use someone else's firearm. All this took place, and they rushed us off the lane when we had 10 minutes left. We had planned on paying for an extra hour until we were rushed. On the way off the range, we witnessed another patron entering the range without a case. As we Entered the main sales floor, we began moving our weapons back to our vehicles. I asked a question about a firearm which was having an issue cycling the next round and these guys had no answer, and pointed me into the direction of a shorter gentlemen with curly hair, who giggled and chuckled like a school girl as if he was shy. I repeated my question twice, he had zero interest in helping me, neglected to make eye contact until after I repeated my question in a more serious tone, to which he began suggesting ridiculous solutions for. He clearly lacked any reputable knowledge other than probably watching YouTube videos. These folks are pretty young but I expected some degree of professionalism. These folks would rather debate me on semantics than show any interests on helping me solve a problem. I left the range, I won't return even if they paid me. This is the McDonald's of gun ranges, it's fancy and the appearance is nice, but the quality is piss poor. I highly recommend an alternative. Read the other reviews, there may be a couple of positive instances, but this place sucks. Not for serious shooters. read more

Never the type to leave a bad review ever this will be a first. Rude customer service this evening, was polite when asking for assistance and was told holdup aggressively, other co worker spotted the response and said that's not the way we do things, the guy responded I don't care. but I completely ignored it and decided not to go to him, did not end up catching the name but damn already a bad experience anyways he ends up being the one that checks me out and the whole time he has a mood about it, rings me up and continues to say things under his breath, gives me my receipt and does not give me the items I pay for walks away and I have to get them myself, and he comes back with an attitude. I reply do we have a problem, we can easily handle it outside but was ignored. Co workers noticed everything didn't say a single word after that they group up and start talking amongst each other and cracking jokes. I actually enjoyed coming here but if you're coming here for a decent experience do a fu**ing U-Turn. Word of advice for this piece of sh** staff even if you're strapped up for this type of work it does not mean I won't beat the sh** out of you or any other customer wouldn't. I called the range and asked about renting a specific 9mm I am looking to purchase. I was told they had the gun in their rental program so I headed that way. I drove an hour to this range to be told when I got there that I could not rent a gun without having an "adult" friend with me. I am 50 years old, a former Marine and have had a concealed carry permit for over 20 years. I was told the policy was for my safety in case i wanted to injure myself. I had 3 guns of my own with me to fire also. I was welcome to take my own guns onto the range like i could not harm myself with my own guns. They never mentioned this ridiculous policy on the phone even though the whole discussion revolved around me renting a gun. After leaving the range a searched there website and found NOTHING about this policy. I don't ever buy a gun without putting some rounds through it so I have rented guns from ranges all over the country and have never heard of such a ridiculous policy. read more

I love this place. When I visit, the staff makes me feel like a king! I had a particularly good experience with Roberto. He's incredibly knowledgeable about the products, and while I was perusing their inventory he provided a lot of insight. But he never tried to upsell me. I felt like he was listening to what I was saying, and he got an idea of what I wanted, and didn't try to tell me I needed something different than what I was interested in. I've had experiences at other stores where I felt like I was being guided away from something I was interested in and guided to something more expensive. Anyway, that's hard to describe, you'll know what I'm talking about when you check them out, but I'll just say that because of my positive experiences I've come to know a lot of the staff at the Humble store. Alvin, Kim, Ross, Sam, and everyone else are really good at making that place fun to visit. They don't mind that I usually just want to look around, and I never feel rushed.
