Listen don't blame the staff or sales people. The problem is a guy they call a GM. I won't call names but he is the reason for the high high prices and the low trade values. They also have another online company that I believe this GM is getting a cut off of and tries to see that the best goes there. It's a great store with great managers on the counter but they are hand tied by a not so good GM. I gave a three star rating because the people on the sales counter and the managers on the sales floor are awesome but they are made to look bad by a poor upper management. Went in to rent a pistol to try before buying. Brought a new box of ammo, but was told I had to buy and use their ammo ( store policy). The pistol I wanted to try was already out so I had to wait over thirty minutes. Store manager told the young man to comp me the rental and range fee. Got the pistol and put 15 rounds through it. walked out and was told the total was over $40:00. Never had an issue with them in the past, but the attitude from the guys over at the range was anyt but friendly. read more

I visited this newly opened shooting range yesterday for a corporate style event. They have their own dedicated parking lot that is probably adequately sized for normal daily activity however space was tight for last nights event. The facility consists of two buildings. The front building is the gun store with firearms, ammo and accessories. Walking through, I thought the selection of all products was kind of adequate with long guns being the most abundantl being displayed on the wall. The rear building is the gun range. Inside is a small common area where you register and pay. Beyond the wall and an observation window are 10 lanes that are 15 yards in length. This is a handguns ONLY range. Paper targets are attached to the cardboard target holders by staples and then extended electrically to your desired distance. On the floor they have both 3 and 7 yard red lines marked for reference. Each shooting stall also has a light to help illuminate your sights. My only negative here are the dividers between stalls. They are corrugated metal which doesn't dampen blast noise at all. I was shooting a 9 mm and noticed how much louder these stalls are compared to other indoor ranges that use sound deadening materials. I am glad I wasn't shooting my .45 ACP or a Magnum. The shiny metal dividers may look cool but are not effective other than as bullet stops in my opinion. Prices seemed to be a little on the high side considering how small this facility is. With only a 15 yard distance it may limit some handgunners who want 25 as found in many indoor ranges. For me, 15 will meet my needs for tactical work. However, I believe I heard that they do not allow holster work here so that would be a negative for me. The lady running the range was doing a good job especially with so many people being there. I look of this as more of an "executive" range convenient for locals to practice short to medium range handgun marksmanship. They do offer memberships if you plan on coming often. I give a 3 because everything was A-OK. read more

Stopped by before Christmas this past year to help my aunt get her first handgun. Coming from Arizona this place had some serious options given the current panic buying times. They had customers in there that you can tell frequent the place often, handing out $20+ tips for Christmas made me want to work there. The same day application process was not bad either and for those interested in getting a tax stamp for a suppressor, you are in luck here. Pay an additional $205 and do the electronic paperwork in house then wait around 7 months for it to come back and you can pick up your suppressor and gun. These guys are some of the best in the business that offer an overall great vibe for all. Would definitely return if I lived in the area and look forward to coming back whenever I am in town. read more

Hands down the best staff and one the best pistol ranges you will find in the Houston area. Though it is pistol only, your experience here will make up for it. Range is always clean, ammo is reasonably priced (unlike other places in the area) and it isnt very crowded during the week. On the gun shop side of the house Alexi is a great salesperson who is incredibly knowledgeable and doesnt mind just talking about his passion for firearms whether or not he makes a sale. However, everytime we do speak at length I seem to purchase something from him. 5 stars hands down. read more

Reagan in the front is great!!! Awesome service! The gal running the range in back is a little rough... Very stern ..with full magazines ready to shoot, we're we're not allowed to finish and had to pay for another hour to empty our loaded mags. Also, there were shell casings all over.. no one was sweeping them away .. and several lanes had issues or was down. This is probably the worst shooting experience I've had here . Not typical.. Went looking for a basic shotgun for home defense. With the COVID-19 panic, they were getting hard to find. I wasn't picky but really didn't want anything exotic or complicated. David M came to the rescue. He suggested a pre-owned item and thought it would be was perfect for my needs which it was. He walked this gun novice through the paperwork including background check in less than 30 minutes. It was fast and easy and I can't recommend the store and David enough. read more

I like this range a lot. It's rarely busy. Very well ventilated. I don't like the staple guns to affix the targets, but that's a minor thing. The girls working the desk are super nice. I don't really go in to the store at this location so I can't comment on that. I just use the range. I have a membership and it's an outstanding value at $24/mo. It's not a very long range, but for my purposes, that's not an issue. read more

I've always and only ever been to the Spring Cypress location, but this location is awesome! The guys behind the counter were great! Very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. I have a lot of friends and family that go to this location, and I now know why! Great place for guns for great prices. The range is always clean and well maintained. The store was a little depleted, but that is to be expected right now. I can only imagine how it looks during "normal" days. I can't wait to go back. Alex, Nikki, and "the new guy" JD were all very knowledgeable and very friendly. I never felt like I was being pushed into something I didn't really want. All of the advice that I received from "the new guy" was spot on and very helpful. Alex and Nikki definitely run a good crew. My family and I have been avid gun shooters for about 10 years now and have gone to several ranges. We went to the I45 location for the first time over Christmas break. There were 4 of us that went, but only my son and his girlfriend were going to shoot. My husband told the female employee that we only had TWO shooters because the two of us were not going to shoot. She did not say anything about us being charged to be on the range and my husband mentioned it a second time to be clear. When it came time to pay she charged us for FOUR shooters on the range. We again informed her we were never told we had to pay to be out on the range and also told her before shooting that we were NOT shooting just watching and assisting since my son's girlfriend was a first time shooter. She did not apologize or seem to care. POOR business practice when we were clear up front and she failed to inform us we would be charged. Will not be going back, too many better options with honest employees. read more
