Shout out to Lonnie. I came in this past Saturday with very little knowledge about guns, and was looking for my first pistol as a home protection weapon. I've never owned a gun before but I've shot a few times. Lonnie took his time explaining every pistol to me and highlighted the differences between them. I had an excellent experience at Saddle River Range. The customer service, facility cleanliness, activity options, prices, and equipment availability all exceeded expectations. From reservations, to checking in, to lane usage, the whole journey was refreshingly smooth making for a very fun time. The facility was exceptionally clean, well staffed, and the displays of equipment were impressive. Upon entrance, I was immediately greeted by a bright and friendly woman who helped me get acquainted with the procedures. I was checked in by a delightful man named Tim. Tim had also helped me with my reservation and made sure, I was accommodated appropriately. Very professional. This was my first time at a gun range and my experience was limited, so I really appreciate how Tim understood my situation and included other staff members to help make sure I was comfortable with lane and weapons handling. A cool thing I learned, most of the staff is current or prior military. People who really know their trade and love what they do. I respect that. I was also introduced to a superb training instructor named Craig Terry. Craig helped refresh me on the fundamentals and guided me as I re-familiarized myself with the M15. Craig is observant and tuned into exactly the guidance I needed. Craig is respectful. His instruction and patience truly revitalized my confidence and gave me the best insight on what I needed to focus practicing on. I am very grateful to the time Craig gifted me. The lanes are comfortable, clean, and spacious. I didn't feel any hindrance about my surroundings and locking in was seamless. The target was easy to adjust and set nice and fast. The policies made sense and operations were a breeze. Ammo was decently priced and accurate to market value. All costs were very reasonable, especially for the atmosphere provided. I am impressed with the variety of weapons activities offered and particularly pleased with the variety of rentals available. I am beyond satisfied with what I paid for what I got. I had such a great time at Saddle River Range and I've been bragging about the place since. I already reserved two more sessions and I plan to bring a friend. Went to our first handgun class on Sunday, both the instructors were great, knowledgeable, very personable. They made you feel comfortable and answered all your questions and didn't make you feel like you were stupid, which is very important! After about two hours in class, went to the range for the first time and shot approximately 50 rounds it went from scary to understanding to feeling much more comfortable with a firearm. We drove an hour to target practice. I called ahead of time and management said the range was open. We arrived and told we have to wait an hour due to a class taking over a whole bay. We decided to go elsewhere. Gun counter staff/ owner was extremely rude when simply asked if they carried Girsan pistols. They have over priced ammo and firearms as well. I would not recommend family, friends, or anybody to spend money here. read more

Saddle River is near our son's house so is very convenient. I arrived as a new customer with my 2 under-age grandsons. We watched the video and began a 20-30 minute wait for a lane. The check-in young lady was exceptionally accommodating and after just 5 minutes we had our lane. We'd built up 2 P80s and were breaking them in. As a result we had innumerable poor extractions (USA ammo ran poorly but Norma ran great). We had a great time in what appears to be a very well-run range. Thanks Saddle River!!! read more

100% Garbage in all aspects. A buddy and I wanted to test out their range and decided looking around to purchase as well. Staff behind the counter ( 3 males) were absolutely useless in assisting customers. We would attempt to ask questions about certain items but looked at us as he sipped his coffee and give us nods, very unprofessional. Wow, What an amazing place! My hubby brought me here for Friday couple night. We did the archery range. It was a very fun and inexpensive date. The entire staff was so kind and extremely helpful! From the minute we walked in the door, to helping us hold our bow, to how to stand and aim. They were all great. I loved it and will be back again. After we were done we walked down stairs and found out they have a couples night for the shooting range too!! The people behind the counter were friendly and explained everything to us in detail.
