I bought a Benelli super black eagle 3 last week. Emmett took great care of me and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!!

We went to check out the archery range located in the second floor of the building. We are new and knew nothing about archery, but wanted to give it a try. There were two employees who greeted us and showed us how to use the bow and arrows. They were very friendly , courteous, and professional. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend this place. read more

Just had an amazing training session with Shawn. It was my son's first time at the range and wanted him to learn the right way. Shawn was an incredible instructor. He was extremely patient with an excited 13 year old. He gave him relevant and informative information and was extremely thorough in his instruction. I highly recommend the range and him for his knowledge and teaching techniques. read more

My son and I very much appreciated the guidance, and patience, provided by Shawn during our training lesson. The knowledge that Shawn passed on to us was very useful ... extremely helpful! The overall facility was excellent. Thanks. read more

Don't Buy From Them! Strongly suggest you don't buy anything from them. They do not stand behind anything they sell. Very poor management and awful customer service. I purchased a gun from them only to find out it didn't work. They wouldn't take it back or even offer to fix it or anything, not to mention the manager was very rude about it. They don't even deserve a 1 star rating. read more

Terrible customer service! I bought over $1000 dollars of pistols 45 days ago. The Stoeger 9mm they sold me will not load any ammo without a special magazine speed loader. The gun is brand new and has never been used. The manager offered to buy it back for half the price! Now I have a useless 9mm that will only hand load 5 bullets at a time. I will never do business with this place and will not recommend to any of my Marine Corps brothers or veteran community. read more

I will never go back to Saddle River again. Three different times I have made purchases or looked at fire-arms they have ranged from being cold/unfriendly to downright sarcastic and talking down to me. When I purchased a bow I brought it back in the next day because they forgot to put on the peep-hole guide. They insistently accused me of dry firing the bow (making the guide and peep site come off) when they themselves just forgot to put on the guide and peep site correctly. Finally they relented and installed the correct guide so that the peep site would line up correctly. Another time I purchased a red dot site and they did eventually get me what I needed, but were cold and unfriendly, especially when I communicated that I just needed the cheapest thing they had to get through a hog hunt starting that evening (my holographic site had crapped out at the last minute). Today I went in and asked for advice on the best caliber of rifle that would be good for deer, but also okay for elk. I was then told in a condescending sarcastic tone that there are about a million calibers to choose from (which is why I asked for advice in the first place). So I explained that I was looking for a deer/elk rifle for my 16 year old son. At that point a .243 was recommended, but after that I asked about the availability of the ammunition and the person then stated that .243 is almost impossible to get and that .308 or 6.5 Creedmore would be readily available and fulfill the need. When told them I was thinking of $600 or under and then I tried to find out what the price range was on the firearms they actually had in stock the person completely shut down on me, but finally did say that they were above $1000. So I left. I totally understand that I am not a gun expert and totally understand my need for advice, but please don't talk down to me and make me feel like an idiot because I ask. I grew up with guns and hunting, but definitely am not an expert on the latest. read more

They just lost 1500$ from me for refusing to sell me a rifle even though I just bought a pistol "illegally" apparently because they're employees don't even pay attention to you're documentation if anyone wants a place that's not gonna fuck you around go to magnolia hunting supply they helped me out so fast got all my money and more in accessories . a lot cheaper and way nicer people in there . They won't be getting any of my Business anymore . Magnolia hunting supply family own really wonderful people in there not snobby stuck up woodlands people . Took my daughter and son in law both 20 years old to teach them handgun safety. First guy that helped us was very nice and asked if we had hearing protection and glasses, they had never been to the range before so they didn't have any, this is the first range I have been to that doesn't have loaners so we bought 2 ear muffs @ $16.50 each and safety glasses at $6 each. They asked if I would like to pay before or after and I said I won't need more than an hour so I would like to pay up front. So I went ahead and paid my range fee and for the safety gear then headed over to sign the waiver and watch the video. Once that was complete I asked which lane to go to and another guy said you need to pay $26 for the 2 minors. I said I told the other guy I wanted to pay everything up front so why do I need to pay again? Anyway they charged me again $26 on top of everything else I already paid. They should have charged me everything at once when I told them I wanted to pay upfront. The guy was really excited to collect that $26 on top of the $115 I already paid. So enjoy the $26 it's the last of my money that will be spent here. I can get over the no loaner glasses and ear muffs which cost me $50 to buy, but to stop me after I already paid to collect another $26 is ridiculous. If they wanted the extra $26 they should have charged that the first time. read more

Fantastic experience at Saddle River. Classes are professionally conducted, range is clean and well maintained. To note, I've worked with Mr. Craig Terry over the past month or so and he is awesome! His patience and professionalism, as well as attention to detailed have truly helped me. I highly recommend Craig Terry and Saddle River! read more

Place is overpriced on everything and only seems to be going up. I've been in quite a few times, enough times to know to call ahead to see who is in so I can avoid certain people and see others. Clayton is one such person I try and see every time I go in. He's a knowledgeable person, but doesn't force it on you. Walks you through different guns and features without a sales pitch or forcing you in different directions. He helped me out with my edc gun and didn't let me down either. Same with Toby in the archery department. He could open his own archery shop and I would drive twice the distance just to see him and get his know how. Such a great attitude and person. Clayton and Toby are small time gun and archery store people working at the big gun store which is a shame because their hard work is drowned out by poor management and sales of big gun stores trying to gouge the customer. They want to help you get what's best for your budget and have fun doing it. If you're looking to buy gun related products, TX ARSENAL or even Renaissance Shooting Club are the best places to look imo. Small time places with knowledgeable people not trying to kill you with markup. They offer great bulk buys for ammo and the shooting club is all outdoor far superior to the indoor at Saddle River for just $420 for the year and offers so much. Especially being able to draw from holster, shooting competitions, discounts, run n gun, tac trainers, etc. If you're looking to try a gun or want some info, come to saddle river to rent and talk to Clayton. If you're ready to buy or shoot regularly, there are better places. Love guns and gun shops but not how they're run sometimes unfortunately. read more

Went less than an hour before closing but no where did it state that they stop taking non-members past a certain time. So I waiting through traffic and did not get to shoot anyway. Other than that the place was clean and organized. read more

Been here a couple times. Ammo is crazy expensive, all there services are super expensive, and the shooting range prices is absolutely rediculous. $22hr for pistols and $30hr for rifles. I won't give any names but just do a Google search and you will see that there are many places around for half that price and for unlimited indoor or outdoor range time. Don't bother getting knives sharpened here either because that's $20 per knife. Just get a $20 knife sharpener and do it yourself, first time I went there I walked around for 20 minutes without anyone even saying hi to me or asking if I needed help. This place is a joke. read more

First of all, I have to separate my experience of getting my CHL from the actual range. When I came to my CHL experience, it's a 5-star. The instructor was informative, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Now for the actual range and store. The Range: It is by far the nicest range in The Woodlands area. It's very much like Athena or Frisco Gun Club as it is a "higher-end" indoor gun range. Yeah, the lines are long on the weekends, but the facility is top notch. Prices are a little steep for non-members, but it's nothing out of the ordinary for indoor range time. The Store: The real con and the only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating. Some of the products (including the firearms) are "price--y." I get it, it's convenient and the demographics they are catering to those who can afford convenience...but it is not what I'm use to. I get it, they have to make money but "ouch." Maybe members get discounts or something, but just as as store, they could be more reasonable. Lack of information and price pushed me towards an online purchase for my AR-pistol and my concealed carry. Snack Bar and Service: Great, convenient, and serve up a decent pizza for being in a gun range. The service was great in my experience. From the sign in for the range to the food area. This all being said, it's an excellent venue for shooting and getting in some range time. read more

Bought CHL class for my wife and I. When our class was scheduled, there happened to be a natural disaster (snow storm in Feb 2021). Because we didn't reschedule within 3 days, we lose our money. No offer for store credit, nothing. THEY WERE CLOSED on the day we had our appointment. Jonathan Wyatt has made it clear they'd rather keep our money than have our future business. read more

Great range and well taken care of by professionals in a professional setting. A large selection in the store as well as courses to take.

I've been here a few times now and have had wonderful experience every time. SRR is the perfect combination of Firearm sales, Archery, Cafe and Lounge blended into a comfortable inviting little piece of shooters heaven. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I've had the privilege to meet Shooting Instructor Mike and "pick his brain." With his knowledge and direction, I was able to correct how I focused on my sights, adjust the way I held my Firearm and and successfully tighten my group. Thanks Mike! I have yet to purchase any firearms or experience archery. However... The Cafe food is excellent! The bacon grilled cheese sandwich is AMAZING! The more bites I took the younger I felt. LOL. The perfect lunch. The club sandwich and bacon cheeseburger with their uniquely curled fries are also highly recommended. However, you may need a quick nap afterwards. The range is indoors, air conditioned and well priced; With a large selection of firearm rentals to choose from. With multiple shooting/unlimited range time packages to chose from, I will picking up the Silver Package this weekend. Needless to say... SRR is highly recommended! Safe Shooting. read more

Simply put.. Experience 1. Tried to buy a gun with valid TX license (previous address but temp paper license also) and Gov issued Car title certificate with new address - refused told its a felony .. please review Brady law on legal requirements for legal purchase. Experience 2. Tried to buy wife concealed gun with wife with me - cited "straw" law and declined again! Went to 2 different gun stores after and legally purchased 2 firearms legally as I'm 1) legally allowed 2) not felon (never even had a ticket!) 3) have all appropriate paperwork. I'm A US citizen with Impeccable legal record and several guns but for some reason this store and one member of staff in particular doesn't understand firearm possession law. Will not return - shame, store and range seems good-but will stick with other stores of which there are many read more

Made my first purchase from here over the weekend. Store was clean well staffed and they were polite. Prices were not the best and not the worst but in-line with the current market. They were missing some types of ammo but had a lot of the major stuff most people buy. I would go back again read more

Went in at 7:23, supposed to be open til 8, there were 3-4 cars in the lot, the kids behind the counter said they were closed, then they said they were full. I read the response to my complaint and the owner said I cursed on the way out, a blatant lie, I was wearing my work shirt with the company I work for so I said nothing and walked out straight to my car and left the review. I'm flabbergasted they said I cursed on the way out, I would sue this place for slander if I could, I will go out of way to make sure people know this place is the worst. Now I know they will slander customers and outright lie to cover up their terrible service. I will tell everybody I know to not spend money here, unless you like overpriced guns and teenagers being rude and condescending to you. read more

Outstanding selection of firearms and extremely knowledgeable sales team. They've got archery classes with very talented instructors as well as very clean and well ventilated shooting ranges. In addition to all I've mentioned, they've got a grill with delicious specials as well as a firearm armory repair. This place is "THE GO TO" one stop shop! read more

Worst customer service ever, the old gruff guy in archery spoke to me like I was stupid. Rude man. There was another man up there helping people who was a lot more polite. This past week my PSA KS47 was delivered. Lauren called me that day but I could not get in until the next morning. Got there and they were busy. Lauren pulled the gun and help me complete and process the paperwork. In the meantime I had given Miller a list of things to help with. He pulled the ambi-safety and mounts for my ATN scope, (2) clips, soft case ..... once I was done with Lauren, Miller walked me over to the Gunsmith shop where John (& Noah) helped me and Rod processed me out. Told them I needed back early this to take hunting. That was Thursday - Saturday AM the gun was ready. They had called Friday to let me know the one piece quick release would not fit and they would do a credit and recharge. Got there Saturday AM and the headman, Jeremiah was there. He and John loved the gun (which made me feel good). He pointed out that with the ATN scoped mounted it was difficult to function the extractor but not impossible. He brought out (4) options, we went thru and I picked the one I felt was best. He mounted there and walked me thru the process. I haven't used all the products enough to comment - but the service to date - is as good as anywhere I've been in a long time. Makes you feel good to do business there. read more

Saddle River Range - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Conroe, Texas

Local gun owner. I know to call the range ahead of popping in to shoot. Today I called the range and they said come on down only to find a near two hour wait. Poor communication, poor customer service and interaction with Maverick behind the counter. His attitude was as bad as the wait for a lane. Hopefully they continue to bridge the gab between customers expectations and training their young staffer in some better customer service. read more

I'm a member here and really like the range and folks. However I transferred a firearm and was surprised when they told me the fee was $55! I'm a member, senior and a vet and when I asked if I could get a discount they said no, we want to encourage you to buy the firearm from us. Well I told them that certainly didn't motivate me to purchase from you, especially when I called you first to see if you had what I wanted and was told no. The range is really nice but if you want to transfer a firearm you can go right down the street to Triple J and only pay $30. read more

THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!!! Came in here for the first time on a non busy Sunday morning. Didn't come to look, came to buy, but these guys lost my business from buying firearms and using their range. So sad that I stood patiently, waiting to be helped at the register. I was ignored and passed up by all associates. Never was I acknowledged. Called Spring, Guns and Ammo while I was still in the lobby. Spring, Guns and Ammo answered all of my questions and even said they had the firearm I wanted to purchase today, in stock. On my way out, let one of the associates know I had not been helped or acknowledged for a solid 10 minutes. Meanwhile they acknowledged every other customer in the building besides me. Won't ever be back. Save yourself heartache and shop elsewhere! Headed to Spring, Guns and Ammo in The Woodlands! read more
