Given the heat and humidity, this indoor activity was just what we needed. We bought the "Try Archery" session which is one hour with an instructor who taught us the basic steps of shooting, how to shoot safely with the other people in an archery range and it includes everything that's needed like arrows, a bow, arm guard, and finger guard. There were 4 other people who signed up, making a total of 6 people in our group. Despite the range being spacious, the targets set up for our group initially appeared quite close together and made me worried a little about possibly colliding into the person next to me. However, everything turned out fine and the spacing between the targets weren't as bad as I thought. Our instructor, Kina, was awesome!! She was soo welcoming and friendly! She's very approachable and totally made the experience both fun and chill at the same time. I really appreciated that she gave us extra time to practice shooting after the session was over. Thank you Kina for the wonderful experience!! Note: You must reserve ahead of time for the "Try Archery" session. It's $40/pp and you can register and reserve online on their website. read more

Amazing place to go to if you've been watching too much Lord of the Rings and wanted to see if you're Legolas incarnated. $50 for a 2 hour instructed session and individual practice is a steal, especially with equipment provided. Coach Russell and Kat were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend. read more

X10 Archery hits the target for fun! It's no frills inside. Outdoorsy, reminded me of a supply store. You sign a waiver and when your group is ready, you're off to the range! A few quick notes: It gets pretty hot on the range. The staff warned us of this in advance and it was definitely true. It's bearable tho. Not at all miserably hot but you will sweat. They offer coffee and water but no other food or drinks. They are fine with you bringing in snacks. There's even a convenient store next door where you can buy things to bring in. No alcohol tho. It's a family friendly establishment. Close toe shoes only and no heels. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Having 10+ years experience, Russ did an excellent job teaching us the ins and outs of using the recurve barebow and all the basics for posture, holding, shooting, removing the arrows from the boards and helpful tips like "nose-knows". Learning from Russ was like learning from a knowledgeable close friend, he was friendly, patient, kind and funny and his energy matched our crew perfectly. X10 Archery is a fun and healthy way to pass time and if you want to attend often or perhaps perfect the craft, they have reasonably priced membership options where you can come in and practice on your own. They also teach according to the World Archery Federation standards, the world's governing body of archery, same as used by the Olympics. read more

Did archery plus with my friends, had Russ as our coach, and although it was our first time doing any kind of archery, we all had a really good time!! He was super patient, helpful and funny. We are all planning our next archery hang out already!! read more

Did the try archery for an hour. Great fun. Kina kept it low key and non judgmental for first timers

Russ is amazing! My partner and I signed up for an archery class, and he was our instructor. I used to compete in archery, but my partner had never even touched a bow before. Russ walked him through each step with patience, answered all his questions thoroughly, and made the whole experience fun and encouraging. We'll definitely be signing him up for more classes--and we're planning to get a membership, too. Highly recommend Russ to anyone interested in learning or improving their skills! read more

Coach Russell is amazing! He's extremely knowledgeable about every little detail. He gave me so many helpful tips that really made a difference. I was blown away with my improvement. Russ was a great instructor and went over the fundamentals . He was very patient and his class was a great experience!

Excellent, the best experience for my first time! I pass by this place all the time and finally decided to go. I would definitely come back!

I found this out a day before going and decided to try it, and I was thoroughly impressed and enjoyed myself. Nathan was a great instructor and gave me a lot of good pointers. I had never shot a bow and arrow before and always wanted to try, so of course, when I did see an opportunity, I hopped on it immediately. I can't wait to take my friends and family here. They'll love it so would you. read more

First time here at this archery range. I called ahead to see if there was any availability since this was a last minute decision to play archery. Someone picked up and was even able to tell me how many slots were available at 3pm. We did a walk in and was taught safety and how to shoot. We got really lucky since it was a quiet Saturday. While we were there, we got to interact with Kat, who's super fun, nice, and knowledgeable. Learnt quite a number of things while interacting with her as well listening on the side. Would I recommend this place? You betcha. Don't think. Just do it. I'll be back with more friends and family for sure. read more

My instructor, Hannah, is amazing! My first class with her was so good that I hit x10 (middle of the target) twice!! I never played archery before. She is super knowledgeable, friendly and professional. This place is great in many ways, especially with their customer service. Super recommend! Thanks again, Hannah! read more

Absolutely amazing place. All the people that I've encountered are super nice especially Linda. She answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable on all things archery. She even gave me a mini lesson on how to shoot barebow. I can't wait to return again. They're even excellent at servicing recurve bows. I went to another place and they totally ruined my limb bolts and they were brand new out of the box. I told the people here and they offered to help fix it! Love this place! read more

I loved my experience at X10 Archery! The location was quite convenient and close to me. Kat was absolutely hilarious & helpful! She was a great teacher! She made me (and those with me) feel comfortable! Nathan was helpful too! The whole crew that was working today (on 4/9) was amazing! Such a great environment for archery! I'll definitely be coming back here with my friends and family! I will say the parking situation was not the most ideal, but the experience is worth it! read more

I have never done Archery before and after one of my friends recommendation, I visited here. I must say I was not confident at first but the service was very prompt and they provided us first-timers with balanced training which helped me and my friends to acquaint with the bows and arrows. I ended up having a great time and would not mind visiting again to shoot some more - in order to be the next avenger ;) Definitely worth a visit read more

These folks did a really good job with my hunting bow. You don't have to wade through the macho to get the arrows built the way you want (high FOC for me) and they really know their stuff on bows. read more

What an AMAZING experience here! Everyone is so professional and knowledgeable. Our instructor, Hannah, was incredible. She has been practicing archery since the age of 3. How lucky we are to have learned from her. She has an excellent teaching style where she allows the student to relax and learn at their own pace. She is a wealth of knowledge and is incredibly patient: simply the best. We will definitely be back to practice more. Hopefully we can learn more from Hannah! What a fun and exciting sport. We waited for this place to open up again and it was totally worth the wait. read more

Crystal and Nathan at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I booked a lesson with John Lewis since his availability matched my day off. As a guy in my upper 50's I haven't done archery since a PE class in college and summer camp as a kid. It's been a long time! John was great from our first introduction. He's very calm, patient , and clear with instruction. He set the foundation of good good habits and I feel well prepared to continue practicing at home until the next time. Thank you X10 and John! read more

Prices are reg, but treatment is bad. A male worker with a pony tail was aggressive approaching and rude. My teenager daughter and i were using the lanes, my daughter with an arrow on her hand, not even on the bow, turned back and reached for her arm protector. This guy approached very aggressively and told her what she was doing wrong, then he ended "do it right or you better leave". My daughter and i are very educated and respectful. We just stay quiet and followed his commands. But my family, friends and i will not comeback to X10. Sorry, the previous owner had better control. read more

Kindest and most helpful staff ever. Super fun and prices are affordable. Had a great time and will likely be back!

Miles better than West Houston Archery, coaches are more attentive and the atmosphere is great.

Congratulations to Lynda on acquiring this business. I took my daughter yesterday for her 1st archery practice. Lynda and staff were very courteous to explain the best arrows to use with the different weight bows we have. Also allowed my daughter to use a lighter bow more fit for her beginner level. The place was recently purchased by Lynda and her husband Bud. They are still working on adding more inventory to their showroom. The range is very nice and well setup. It was crowded yesterday (Sunday) afternoon from bigness to more seasoned archers. Lynda also offers private and group lessons. Call in advance to reserve. Cost per Hour is $12 per adult. If your bow needs a string or repairs, Lynda can arrange to get that ordered for you. They also offer consignment service to sell your "no longer needed" Archery equipment. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in practicing archery. read more

Took a group of eight from my outdoors club here for the first time this week to try archery. They loved it! Sabrina set up the group event for us, and John led the orientation and instruction there. Both were awesome!! We learned so much and had a great time. I can't wait to go back, not just with our clubs but for my own personal practice. The facility is exceptionally clean and organized, and has a great location. The members who came while our group was there were very patient and respectful of our group of beginners. The fun of shooting without the noise. Fell in deep respect for archery after coming to this place. The guy was cool and showed us, beginners how to shoot, the proper terms and about loading and unloading the bow and arrow. I had a great time here. It's simple. Pull. Clear. read more

I went for a company event and had an awesome time. What was especially fun is that everyone had a bow the entire time so there wasn't any sitting around and waiting for your turn like when we went axe throwing. The first time I was there, staff told me I can get a deal on Yelp for the range, which saved me$ 20. They are so nice and showed how to shoot. the place is nice and clean. Reasonable price. Will be come back read more

Nate was super informative and fun. Definitely recommend this place, everyone was so friendly it felt like I've been coming here for years.

We were in town for the end of the week, and we decided to take a lesson. Kat was our instructor, and she was amazing. My husband is experienced in archery, and I haven't shot in a long time, but she was able to help us both. She was light on the reins, but still effective, which made the experience fun and educational. Would highly recommend! read more

Great service. I walked in with a group of 6(?) or more group of friends. Apparently, you're supposed to call ahead if you want to come in with a big group. Despite the protocol, they didn't turn us away and accommodated us. We had to take turns since there weren't enough space, but none of us are Archery Professionals and had no problem with sharing bows/arrows/lanes/etc. Teachers(?) were nice and helpful. I had to use the kid one cause I sucked but that's my fault haha. Area is a little sketch and parking is a bit hard if you go when it's crowded, but otherwise, had a good time! read more

First time here. The folks are great! They explain nicely to beginners about everything and I really enjoyed Archery. Highly recommended

I booked and paid for archery lessons through PayPal. When I got there my instructor a young Asian guys says to me, " I'm not comfortable teaching you, because I'm a level two instructor who's unfamiliar with the kind of bow that you have." Cmon, I drove 30 minutes to get there to find this out, and then he hands me over to someone else who I've emailed 3 times asking when is my new lesson. Of course, no response and my money I will just have to call and report it to PayPal. read more
