Family went to a competition there yesterday 11-12-22. The range is super small. The owners are not friendly and were not to be found after payment was receive. Only six kids could fit on the range to shot at a time. Again super small room. Targets were bad. One was made of a something like recycled old tires. The kid shooting next to mine his arrows kept hitting the target and fell out. Poor kid couldn't get points because of it. I would not recommend this place for anyone. read more

i only get 6 days off work out of the month so getting home last week i was super excited to get in my first hunting of the season. especially with missing opening day. thankfully i had already had my scouting in and my tree picked. all i needed was a couple extra bolts for my crossbow and i wanted some fresh slick trick blades. i had known of this place from passing it the season before to go to a top notch taxidermy. so i ended up trying these guys out. i went in and a lady helped me out. i told her i was using a horton rdx storm with the omni nocks. 20" 100gr. she showed me some that had the crescent nocks. now let me stop and say i was told i could use no other nock with my horton but omni. but i figured if this lady who owns a archery shop was telling me these crescents were good then maybe i was wrong. i bought 5 bolts, 1 de-cocking tip, 4 pk of slick tricks and a 4 pk of illuminocks. it all cost me around $120.00. next morning i was shooting at my target to ensure my scope was still on point when about my 3rd shot in one of the illuminocks had a piece of the crescent break off. then about my 7th shot and they were all over the place i seen my string frayed pretty bad. took it over to texas archery an hour from the house to find out i definitely never should have been shooting those style of nocks. i purchased a 6 pack of omninocks and had to have richard build me a new string(i'll still have to order one from horton and have him switch it out) but he was just getting me hunting and i was greatful for that. i ended up calling c&s and explaining what had happened and the fella who answered the phone attempted to talk over me the whole time and deflect any accountability. to have these people own a shop dedicated to bow hunting but be so un knowledgeable is beyound disappointing. i was told at my gun range they've heard similar stories about c&s as well did a guy i spoke to at texas archery, now those people know their business and even though they are an hour from the house, texas archery from now forward will always have mine. as for c&s, well i'll just say it cost me around $300 and alot of wasted time to know now to never go there again. and if my string would of broke it could of cost me alot more then just financially. do yourself a favor and do not go here. read more
