I called Scroggins machine shop about remanufacturing my 2005 F150…read more5.4 3v engine. After talking with Tom he actually recommended that I go with a Ford factory reman engine as the cost would work about the same and I would come out with a better warranty as Ford offers a 3 year unlimited mile warranty. As far as install of a complete engine, he was cheaper for the labor than 1 other machine shop and 2 other mechanics that I had called. Once I decided to use them, I called to setup an appointment and they got my truck in a couple days. Tom likes to send you text updates on your vehicle progress, which was much appreciated. He sent me my price quote, warranty paperwork, pics of the old motor ready to be pulled out, a pic of the new remanufactured engine setting in it's crate from Ford. Once the new engine was installed he sent me a video of the new engine's first startup and another video when it was completed and ready for me to pickup. I dropped the truck in at lunch on Tuesday and picked it up at lunch on Friday. Talk about fast service! Scroggins is definitely Houston's best and oldest machine shop that does quality work with pride. Keep up the good work.
