After spending 3 hours in store on 9/22/2026, I came on in to buy a BowFlex T9 trwadmill, paid for…read morea BowFlex T9 trwadmill, tripled checked with the staff team along with a picture and in-store listed price tag of the Bowflex T 9 treadmill specifically but somehow I was still given a BowFlex T6 treadmill. That is a $500 difference. The BowFlex T9 treadmill was listed for $1399.98 in store and online which the store did not update their systems to portray that price tag and tried selling it to me for $1499.99 MSRP. Not only did I have to tell the cashier about their own discount but I had to find the manager to ask them to reduce the price to the listed price of $1399.98. After the BowFlex T6 treadmill was loaded into my truck and I had made the trip home, that's when I realized it was a BowFlex T6 treadmill and NOT the BowFlex T9 treadmill once I had already arrived home. After calling Dick's customer service and explained the situation: a) we had to make the hour drive back to the store, b) wait another 45 minutes to get the correct and PAID BowFlex T9 treadmill into the bed of my truck, c) since they were short staff, my family and I had to help load our own BowFlex T9 treadmill after the mistake was caused by Dick's sporting good's employees, d) with the gas price increase per gallon they only offered us 15% discount for the hassle which DOES NOT justify the 2 hour drive there and back and I had to ask for a 20% discount instead but was really given 14.3% because I had to pay 5.7% to get it back to the promotion listed price, e) when refunding the amount back, they removed the original promotion of $1399.98 and charged use $1499.99 with a 20% discount which is outrageous because we did not go into the store to buy it for $1499.99 but for $1399.98 so we had to cough up the promotion cost ourselves which is completely wrong, f) by the time we actually got the device loaded in my truck, it was already 8:45 pm which is 15 minutes from closing when I should already be home and assembling the treadmill, g) why did they remove the original promotion off and charge me MSRP price after it was the EMPLOYEE'S MISTAKE that caused all of this. Dick's sporting good has officially lost a customer forever especially because that was my first ever big purchase as Dick's sporting good. They employees down played the severity of the situation because the BowFlex T6 treadmill was on sale for $999.99 online and in-store while the treadmill that I actually bought, the BowFlex T9, was listed for $1399.98 which is a $400 difference not including the labor and gas cost go to and back to the store. This action is very scummy of the company and 100% will NOT be receiving my service anymore. Wasted an extra 2 hours of my life for something that SHOULD NOT have happened in the first place. BE AWARE WHEN BUYING ANYTHING EXPENSIVE FROM DICK'S SPORTING GOODS.

My husband went to purchase a hand gun yesterday and received the worst service. A young lady…read more(Katy) racial profiled us. From the moment we can in she was very rude. My husband asked me for $50 because he didn't want to break change. I pulled my money out and she immediately stated "what's going on here" this seems illegal and "you don't have your own money or enough money". I went to report the hostility and comments to her manager (Jeff). My husband continued his purchase while I spoke with Jeff. Jeff then states he would speak to her because she is a little "rough" around the edges. I left the store and my husband called saying the manager put a block on his name for 30 days due to suspected Straw sale. This didn't happen until I reported he poor customer service skills. My husband collects firearms as this would have been his 5th purchase from Academy. He has never had an issue until meeting Katie and Jeff. To add insult to injury he started saying we are being "aggressive". The discrimination just kept going. We are filing a formal complaint as this was unacceptable.

Zero people asked me if I wanted that treadmill that I stood on and looked at for a hot min. I had to go to the back of the store and asked the shoe section and equipment section teens to get it for me. The person at the counter and small podium at the front were super unaware of any thing but the register area. What a shame again on front of house at this store twice in the last few months! Extra star is for having the treadmill and for the young guys in the back of store excited and willing to help! Sally - manager…read more Kailyn - associate These two employees are just the worst when it comes to the people industry. The absolute worst. No couth, no class. If I could give a negative star rating I would. And I don't think I've ever said that before. the associate started yelling at me and cursing at me and getting very "homegirl" with me... It was EXTREMELY odd. She even threatened me at one point.... Like trying to initiate a fight. I kept my composure and tone of voice the entire time because I really felt I was in the Twilight zone. Very very bizarre. It was very strange and she was at least 15 years younger than me. She charged me for some items that needed to be reversed and she didn't know how to do that. In the end, I had to wait about 15 days to get my money back and it was on my company card and company account so I had to later explain that to them. The associate above her came out and she was no better than kailyn. The way they treat their customers lets me know that this is something that happens quite often. There was just no real lever of responsibility or authority or dignity. The MAIN manager came out, (I don't remember her name), but she came out and helped the entire situation after I explained what happened. She said that they are not trained the behave as such and she's quite surprised that I experienced what I had. She said that she would handle the associate, Kailyn, afterwards. It was extremely strange what I experienced. If you don't have anybody that knows how to act in public they should not be behind a register the amount of insults I received from Kailyn was intolerable. I am going to have to contact corporate because I've never been verbally abused by a retail associate before... Especially after a mistake they did and for which never apologized.
