Great selection of sport clothing. I fish more than anything and while their fishing rod and reel selection rivals Walmarts the bait selection is pretty good. Lots of soft and hard plastics to soft through with prices as good as other stores. Most of what I've bought here has been kids athletic wear, HUK fishing clothes and soft plastics read more

After spending 3 hours in store on 9/22/2026, I came on in to buy a BowFlex T9 trwadmill, paid for a BowFlex T9 trwadmill, tripled checked with the staff team along with a picture and in-store listed price tag of the Bowflex T 9 treadmill specifically but somehow I was still given a BowFlex T6 treadmill. That is a $500 difference. The BowFlex T9 treadmill was listed for $1399.98 in store and online which the store did not update their systems to portray that price tag and tried selling it to me for $1499.99 MSRP. Not only did I have to tell the cashier about their own discount but I had to find the manager to ask them to reduce the price to the listed price of $1399.98. After the BowFlex T6 treadmill was loaded into my truck and I had made the trip home, that's when I realized it was a BowFlex T6 treadmill and NOT the BowFlex T9 treadmill once I had already arrived home. After calling Dick's customer service and explained the situation: a) we had to make the hour drive back to the store, b) wait another 45 minutes to get the correct and PAID BowFlex T9 treadmill into the bed of my truck, c) since they were short staff, my family and I had to help load our own BowFlex T9 treadmill after the mistake was caused by Dick's sporting good's employees, d) with the gas price increase per gallon they only offered us 15% discount for the hassle which DOES NOT justify the 2 hour drive there and back and I had to ask for a 20% discount instead but was really given 14.3% because I had to pay 5.7% to get it back to the promotion listed price, e) when refunding the amount back, they removed the original promotion of $1399.98 and charged use $1499.99 with a 20% discount which is outrageous because we did not go into the store to buy it for $1499.99 but for $1399.98 so we had to cough up the promotion cost ourselves which is completely wrong, f) by the time we actually got the device loaded in my truck, it was already 8:45 pm which is 15 minutes from closing when I should already be home and assembling the treadmill, g) why did they remove the original promotion off and charge me MSRP price after it was the EMPLOYEE'S MISTAKE that caused all of this. Dick's sporting good has officially lost a customer forever especially because that was my first ever big purchase as Dick's sporting good. They employees down played the severity of the situation because the BowFlex T6 treadmill was on sale for $999.99 online and in-store while the treadmill that I actually bought, the BowFlex T9, was listed for $1399.98 which is a $400 difference not including the labor and gas cost go to and back to the store. This action is very scummy of the company and 100% will NOT be receiving my service anymore. Wasted an extra 2 hours of my life for something that SHOULD NOT have happened in the first place. BE AWARE WHEN BUYING ANYTHING EXPENSIVE FROM DICK'S SPORTING GOODS. read more

Had to walk inside the warehouse to get someone to help me.... And when I did they didn't seem like they wanted to. Awful service

The shoes department is so bad. Not sure where all the employees are hiding and when you find one to get your shoes, they tell you to go to the tablet and scan your own shoes and someone will come out 15mins later after you keep on asking for someone. Live 5 min down the street and had to drive all the way to Katy to get good service read more

I had the worse service here March 16, 2025. Now I can't even find my review they somehow deleted it. Tall guy in shoes SO RUDE !! Manager not much better. The rudeness usually starts at the top then trickles down. My recommendation is Find another store where the employees actually like people!! read more

Dick's cancelled my online order for shoes on the scheduled delivery day and did not fill their committed order. Dick's did not provide a cancel notification. Online customer representative did not follow through and fill the shoe order they displayed online as "in stock". Will not return to Dick's. read more

Dicks seem to be everywhere these days. You can't escape dicks. They're doing well because people are spending more on guns and hunting and fishing crap maybe. In this way - Dicks reflect life itself. In a way, we're all dicks. They have very overpriced clothing and footwear and guns and hunting stuff of course and they never have the selection that I want. When I can find something I need for soccer or whatever, it's usually Limited in terms of the sizes and selection, and it's always about three times more expensive than I think it should be. read more

If you're in the military/veteran do not shop at this location. I've been to several Dicks's throughout Houston and this location is the only one that doesn't offer military discounts for whatever reason. Apparently it's only offered here Memorial Day thru Labor Day. read more

If I could give them 0 starts I would. Probably one of the worst stores I went to in my life. I went to go buy some shoes the employees were super rude minus one guy who was sweeping. The others would pass by and almost knock you down without even saying excuse me. One of them would get mad if clients asked for help. Don't understand why you get mad if it's your job to help the customers. read more

Not much of a fan, the items I was looking for were not at this location . Buying from dicks will be rare and far between. No employee interaction at any time, couldn't find one. read more

Well went with all intentions of getting an updated treadmill for myself. Your sales associate talked me out of it in Ten seconds! He put his foot on it never offered to grab a key for me to try it. He said he had all kinds of issues with updating told me it didn't work without wifi. Went to show me suspension never lifted it to look under it, sides were covered. He knew little about it and bad mouthed equipment found at Academy which it also iFIT equipment. So I left and a week later bought it at Academy two young men there were super nice told me all about it and my husband bought it for me on the spot. So you missed out and made my experience awful. Thanks for pushing me to Academy. read more

If you're looking for some new tennis shoes, a great place to stop by and look they has such a great selection with so many brands such as on cloud, hokas Adidas and Nike and many more getting your size is very fast and efficient and they have a great system where you scan your item and decide what size you are, and they'll bring the shoe out you without you having to track down a person who works there to get you your shoe read more

This store has poor customer service in the shoe aisle, the guy was very rude and unprofessional.

Seeing the 1 star reviews (consistently for each Dick's in a 20 mile radius) makes sense. All I did was call on the phone and some girl clearly had better things to do. Guess the customer service demeanor is in the name. Nothing like a bunch of Dick's. Simply - don't go here if you respect your wallet and self. read more

In my opinion this place seems a little pricey. I did not venture out too much only went to exchange a couple of Christmas presents. One of the staff kinda just chilled while I was trying to find a spot to try my shoes on. I gave him a somewhat If he was my employee, I would have to tell him take your feet off the furniture. I did not find too many selections on workout attires, maybe because it's new? read more

I swear every time I come here the experiences get worse and worse and the store has only been open a couple of weeks. I first came here to get some items that showed available at the store online but when I came to the store I nor any other store associate could find the gloves or even the brand available. Ive come a couple of times in between then and now and the items that I'm looking for never seem to be in stock. Now this visit I placed an order for a shirt and paid for it online and just wanted to pick it up in store...you'd think that would be simple enough but I have literally been standing a checkout waiting for 25 minutes for a shirt I could have walked in and found on the floor and checked out with 4 times over by now. So now my impression is not only am I constantly going to find items unavailable at the store but also the customer service is very much lacking. Still standing here waiting.... read more

I will NEVER return to this store. The cashier was very rude. My husband placed an online order for pants and they were not ready when I arrived to the store, instead of helping to expedite the order or further explain the process the cashier and I believe her boss said that we would have to wait till we receive an email. I said I would just get a different pair and return the order and the girl said I would have to come back in and return the online order. The attitude and lack of customer service was unbelievable. I proceeded to still pick out the same pants and pay for them, when I went to pay with the same cashier she left the security tag in so I had to go back up to her after checkout. Terrible, terrible service and did I mention there are so many employees just standing around and talking who could of helped me with the online store order? Very frustrating. read more

So I walked into the store today hoping to find some World Series gear for Nationals. I knew they would have Houston but to my disbelief they had no nationals gear. Now I don't watch baseball that often but I'm a huge fan and collectible of jerseys, etc. just moving from Washington DC I remember when they first opened National stadium. So with them going to World Series I wanted to buy some gear for Houston and Nationals. I walked around the store walking past several employees not being greeted one time. I than walked up to a lady who was working near the door putting hangars on stuff and asked about any National's gear and she said no. I kindly asked why and she said "My store doesn't have room" in a condescending tone. Now I understand retail and I get that possibly this area is a huge Houston Astro fan base but to say all you carry is Houston area sports gear and I find a Tom Brady Jersey is funny to me. This store lacks effective communication, and any customer service skills. The only thing I can say is the amount of merchandise they did have and the organization of certain Dept. Btw they didn't even have Astro World Series jerseys. I will not return. I rather go to the Dicks sporting goods by the galleria even though it's much further away from me. At least the customer service is amazing. read more

I love this place! The employees are always nice and always so helpful. The store is super clean and so easy to navigate!! Not even for Christmas was there a long line to check out! They run some really great sales and also carry the new Carrie Underwood collection! My only wish was that they would have a bigger section of BOYS ADIDAS CLOTHES! But I will say as I was looking for Christmas gifts this year at the last minute of course, NO One had roller skates in the Sugarland area and my niece really wanted a pair!! Low and Behold Dicks had them and they came with elbow, wrist, and knee pads!! They had them in different color and different sizes! My niece ended up loving her Christmas gift and I scored as the BEST AUNT EVER!! I will say the prices are a little high on some stuff but they do have great sales!! read more

Wow! I am not sure what to say about this franchise. Their customer service sucks big time. I'm guessing they don't take money from black folk. I have traveled all over the Houston to at least 5 stores and all are the same , I went in looking for a Kimber 1911 handgun and was not able to buy one cause no one seemed interested enough to sell one . Deer brook had a guy at the counter who never even looked my way and I stood their for 15 min. Today I went to Parkdale mall and thought maybe it would be different, but nope! This is the second time this has happened, the first was a couple of years ago when I was looking to buy a set of Calloway golf clubs. I got my clubs and paid less, for them then I would have at "dicks" well dicks ! I got my 1911 today , it's not a Kimber but a Rock Island and thanks to you I got a great deal with 1791 holster . You guys keep up the great work. You will never have to worry about me stepping foot into another one of your stores . read more

The workers here are the rudest people I've ever encountered. Asked the cashier where's the next closest location, she then replied "you have a phone, go look it up!". I was shocked. Then I politely said "you didn't have to respond in that manner" and asked her if she even knows any other locations besides here. She then replied "of course I do but I ain't got time for that!". Just wow! This is at the sugar land location. Dirt poor customer service. Idk how'd they got hired. read more

I visited here for the first time on 1/4/18. I had to make an exchange for some items I had for some time. Tara was at the return counter , so I asked her if they would help me with an exchange. She was super sweet and professional. She said yes and pointed me in the direction I needed to go in to get the replacements I needed. But she then went above and beyond by meeting me there without being asked and spending a significant amount of time helping me find what I needed. When I went to get the exchange done, Kevin helped me. He too was patient , knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Dick's please recognize these two employees. Thanks to their helpfulness, you have gained a new customer. The items I had were gifts and I had never shopped there before. I will now! read more

their customer service sucks. the employees act like they have something better to do than help a paying customer. never coming back again!

This was my first time in a dicks sporting goods. I used to shop at Sports Authority before it went bankrupt. Anyway, the reason for 1 star is because I stood in line at checkout for over 20 minutes. There was 1 woman working the cash register and only 2 people on front of me. This lady kept calling for help and nobody came. When the person behind me asked if anyone else was working, the poor lady said she keeps calling for help and nobody was responding. I was about to walk out and 2 other workers finally came to the front to help. The person that helped me looked like the store manager. He asked how I was doing and I said not good, I've been waiting in line for over 20 minutes. He then asked for my information (phone number, address etc). I said don't bother, I won't be coming back (and I won't). read more

Oct 6, 2019 was my first time shopping at a Dick's Sporting Goods. We stopped in Sugarland Texas and I was very impressed with employee,Maxwell he greeted us and helped us throughout the store as we shopped. He is definitely an asset to your business. The next employee Key was at the register he provided excellent customer service and asked if we found everything we needed. These two individuals are what make your store a success. They are both the epitome of great customer service. I have a Dicks sporting Goods in my area, so because of the service I received in Sugarland Texas, I will be shopping at my local Dick's store. read more

Since Golfsmith on Westheimer closed, I had to find a new place for club repair. I thought I give this Dick's Sporting Goods a try. The gentleman was nice and courteous to do my club repair. When I picked up my repaired club, the entire shaft had grip solvent dripped all over it. To pull out the golf head, two major paint chips (about 3mm wide) were placed on the head. Through all my years of going to Golfsmith for club repair or grip installation never once did my club come back in the condition I received my club today. I will not visit Dick's Sporting Goods in Sugar Land again. read more

Well honestly, the place is great and the items are great. The reason why I g8ve this place a 2 star review is because i was looking for a certain our of shoes. The guy who told me it would in a different location of the store. Then I checked out the spot where i was told. Then I asked bother worker who was in that atea. He then told me that they don't carry it. He mumbled it. And he snored his snot. Like bro. He mumbled. I dont know who to believe. read more

The Sugar Land location is open now and has been for about two weeks. They are still in their growing pains/learning stage right now. It's a beautiful store inside, well lit, nice displays - definitely an upscale demographic shopper attraction. However -- I'm walking out the store and the managers and the head of the local store chain who must've been reviewing the store operations noticed I did not have a purchase - smart -- they asked if there was anything they could do. I told them I was trying to purchase a 10 1/2 running shoe and they could not find one for me. They themselves even offered to go back there and help me find a pair, which impressed me, but at that point I was too frustrated and running out of time. Sometimes a 10 can fit or even an 11 if a 10 1/2 is not available. I told them they needed to have a way of knowing what shoes were in stock in my size or know the stock well enough to pull out an alternative brand that offers a 10 1/2 or would fit - i.e. this brand runs big or small. The idea of having to pick up each shoe and ask to see if it has a 10.5 even available is crazy, time consuming and frustrating for sports shoes. It's much easier to have all sizes out there so you can look for availability at a glance, like Academy. But it does make for a neater department appearance. The clerk was clueless, the other clerks were just hanging around - I didn't tell them that. They asked where I bought my shoes in the past and I said Academy and am going to go back here, I thought I give you guys a chance. They need to know this kind of feedback and were appreciative. I realize the store is still new, the clerks not sure of the merchandise yet, but hopefully they will talk to and train them to make recommendations and to make that sale and a customer happy. They are also higher end brand and style shoes, the sale price was $89.99 most were $109-$149. At that price point you should get better service and follow through during the trying on stage. I'm giving the store right now 2 stars because there is potential and room for improvement. I would be willing to go back and update my review later for other products - athletic wear, yoga clothes. And yes, maybe give their shoe department another chance. read more

I'd like to start with saying that I myself am a manager in retail, and that I never, ever take my time to write a review, whether it's positive or negative; this is an exception. I'd also like to say that I've always enjoyed shopping at Dick's and was a frequent customer. I purchased a pair of ASIC's sneakers for 119.99 on 09/02/2017. Even though I've had a couple pairs of ASIC's in the past, this pair just didn't seem to be fitting well and became uncomfortable for me. Since I wear these for work, I decided to come back to the store on 09/07/2017 ( 5 days later). Again... Given my many (over a decade) years in customer service and management, I was more than cordial and respectful in how I communicated my situation to the cashier. At this time, I had these shoes on my feet since as I had just came from work, with my receipt. I told her they just weren't fitting right, and that I'd like to exchange, NOT REFUND, my pair of shoes for something that fit better, since I had my receipt. The cashier then paged the store manager; she came shortly after. She asked what was going on, I did, and then she told me that their policy states that they cannot accept worn shoes, even for exchange. I said, well, this was only 5 days ago, I have my receipt, I'm not asking for my money back, and the shoes are mint condition. She said no, I'm sorry. I asked if there was anything, literally anything at all I could do to at least get this resolved through possibly a gift card or what have you. She said no. I understand there's refund policies( I deal with them all day), however, customer satisfaction is what runs a successful business. It's how my issue was dealt with. Your management didn't try AT ALL try turn my negative experience into a positive one. There wasn't an apology, a means to make it better, nothing. I mean seriously, not one damn thing. It's unfortunate, but because of this poor experience at this one location, I'm done with this company. read more
