Love this place, everyone is super helpful and so nice! They have a great selection and get you in and out quickly.

As a first time buyer, I was equal measures nervous and excited (and a little terrified), but the welcoming staff put me at ease from the moment I walked in. Aaron was kind and patient with my questions and really helped make the whole experience a fun, positive one. He gave me tips on good ranges to check out in the area, as well as recommendations for ammo and additional gear. I've found my go-to shop for future firearms purchases, and wholeheartedly recommend Payne Bros for any who might still be looking for theirs. read more

This is my go to gun store. They always have what I need and if they don't have it, they can most likely order it. My latest gun was a Zev Oz9. There prices was better than any price I found online. I would recommend Payne brothers for all your firearm needs. read more

Payne Brothers Firearms - Zev Oz9 - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Katy, Texas

Prices aren't anything to write home about, but they have a good collection of firearms, ammo, accessories, and gear. They do tend to have more of the concealed carry and modern sporting type firearms so you may have trouble finding things like wood stock shotguns or classic style rifles. I was able to order a firearm from them and it was there 2 days. Good service and easy process. read more

Bought my wife a shotgun for her birthday, and my knowledge of shotguns is limited. The team at Payne Brothers Firearms pointed us in the right direction. All the while helping keep our little ones distracted so we could make the right choice. Customer service here is top notch! Thank you Kevin, Michael, and CJ! Y'all are awesome. We will be back! read more

This team is knowledgeable and friendly. They went out of their way to assist me with what I thought was a problem - fixed for no charge! If you need help or want to browse with the best, this is the place. read more

Such a pity when you want to help support a local business in the community, and then walk inside only to be overcharged by $55 on an item from their online store $55 less the walk-in price. For a myself as a woman asking all the right questions, doing everything under what was supposed to be a "professionals" guidance. They lack in customer service and relations. It's a good thing to find out early with a small purchase so when my husband and I go shopping the large purchases we'll avoid Mitch and "brothers". Please DO listen to the complaints and have a link to their online store ready. When they try to overcharge, go somewhere else. Academy is down the way 2 exits. We're ordering from everywhere BUT the payne in the **s brothers =D read more

Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Store is clean, and packed full or parts (OEM and aftermarket) - lots of firearms to choose from. They do transfer as well as online suppressor shopping. Great place. read more

I would give this place a 5 star if I didn't have to wear a mask to enter. Great place, but they would have gotten a lot of business from me if I didn't have to wear a mask to enter. Oxymoronic..wear a mask in a gun store. read more

This is like a toy store. They have a great selection of firearms with an in house gunsmith. Kevin and his crew do a great job. Very friendly and inviting and easy to get to. I have been back and will definitely come back. read more

Love the staff their professionalism and knowledge. If they don't have something they work hard to get it for you. Bought a number of new items form them and used the gunsmith for other upgrades. Great service and great price. Always great to support a local business as well. read more

If you are looking for a firearm then look no further! Kevin with Payne Brothers will treat you like family. He is law enforcement friendly along with first responders as well. Not a pushy place like gun stores are. Kevin will help you with whatever you need he makes you feel like family. Knowledgeable and is able to get items quickly if he doesn't have in his store. This place is amazing! Kevin assisted me with my purchases and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. He also does custom builds and cerakotes weapons as well. read more

Spent a lot of money at this place. First guy i worked with was a legit army guy and knew his stuff. Ended up coming back to put night sights on my glock, specifically asking for tritium sights. Of course the fat guy helping me didn't know what he was selling and sold me fiber optics. After purchasing and installing i went to ask for an exchange and they pretty much told me to kick rocks without even working anything out with me. After going in 3 days in a row every time purchasing something. Go some where else if you care about being sold lies. read more

This is an excellent place to shop for all things gun-related. Kevin is a great guy, very friendly and knowledgeable about guns, training, etc. He's connected to the law enforcement community and this gives him great insight as he teaches and sells. His LTC class is reasonably priced and he gives you the knowledge you need to begin to learn your way around guns. I recently bought a gun (that is in high demand) and his price was better than any of the other local or big box stores. He has lots of inventory for holsters, parts, cleaning supplies and other things. I intend to be a regular and make this my "go to" place for gun stuff. read more

Kevin and his team are top notch! I go in as often as the budget will allow. The store is well-stocked and prices are fair. The staff is very knowledgeable. Their LTC class is an A++. Support your local business owners! read more

Not the best gun store only bought because they had a part I needed , wanted 50$ to install a simple part which stores do for free and parts were over priced , indifferent staff would recommend heading a little further east maybe to mason road read more

They are wonderful! Great people and great prices. Don't listen to the negative comments on here. This place is great!

Overpriced, the brothers seem to be personable but one of the workers has no business working with customers. If you need a part in a pinch this place will do otherwise order from Primary Arms online. read more

Nice people. Prices are on the high side, but they had good inventory. FFL transfer fee listed on fun broker is not accurate. They charged $40 instead of the $25 listed. read more

By far the best gun shop in the area. While I am very familiar with guns, I knew very little about the product I was purchasing. Kevin sat and explained everything to me for more than half an hour to make sure I was comfortable with my purchase and that it was the correct one for the application. That kind of customer service is hard to come by these days. read more

Love supporting local businesses and these guys made that easy for me here, very knowledgeable in their craft and we'll stocked for the times we are in..... definitely my new go to store as a novice ar builder..... read more

I am a 40 year veteran police officer and dropped my 35 year old patrol shotgun to have the front sight remounted. I took the functional front sight piece with the Remington 870 shotgun. I checked the status in person a couple of times over three weeks since I did not receive a phone call or an estimate. On 01-19-2021 I received a call that it had been repaired for $300.00. I would have never authorized this since the shot gun is not worth that much. Without an estimate they remounted the front sight and then Cerakote painted the barrel in a non matching finish. MAKE SURE YOU APPROVE AN ESTIMATE AND EXTRA WORK BEFORE YOU ARE SURPRISED BY THE BILL AND HAVE TO LEAVE YOUR GUN FOR PAYMENT! read more

This firearm store may be in a small place but don't let that fool you. Walked in and was treated nicely. No one pushing me to buy this or look at that. They answered my question with respect and took the time to help me. I have a good knowledge of firearms and know they where not trying to talk over my head to impress me in order to make a sale. I told them what I was looking for and my price range. They did not try to up sale, and showed me what I was looking for. I ended up buying a firearm and went ahead and got a few extra items as well that was on my list. They went the extra mile and installed the items in there work shop. There work shop is right in the store in front of everyone. You can see the pride they take in there craft. After he was done, he gave me his card and told me to call any time if I have an issue. You just don't see that now of days. read more
