Placed a to go order, showed up at the time that was displayed on the confirmation text/email to find the restaurant had no record of my order and could not find it. There was a plethora of to go orders and tickets on the table, mine was not one of them. The man behind the counter didn't seem to find it to be as big of an issue as I did, he didn't seem to care at all. He finally asked if I wanted to put in another order, after waiting an hour already I kindly refused. Made reservations for last night @6:30 despite reading some wary reviews. My grandmother is very picky and expects nothing but the best service so trying a new restaurant is always anxiety ridden. We arrived a few minutes late but it didn't matter as they were running behind. I didn't look at the time but I believe we got sat just after 7pm. Our server came and promptly got our orders, served our drinks and our first 2 courses. I really enjoyed the flavor of the "clear" soup and well as the dressing on the salad. She did a pretty great job keeping up with refills as well. Our hibachi chef was excellent. He was having a great time and seemed to really enjoy what he does. He made sure to engage with everyone at the table. I wish I remembered his name. The food was tasty, portions large. My ONLY gripe is that it takes SO long in between each part of the meal. My husband and I ordered chicken so we were the last to receive our full plate. By then we had finished all the rice and everyone had finished their meal (they got steak and seafood). I also don't know why this place doesn't offer noodles as well as rice. Every hibachi place I've gone to gives you both. Service was great all around. The hibachi and show were overall good. I was up in the area visiting some friends and they wanted hibachi. They ordered hibachi while I ordered sushi. Hibachi is really all about the show and the chef was good. Nothing razzle dazzle, just what I would expect. The waitress service was mediocre at best and while they were very busy, there were people just standing around. My sushi rolls were just average and I would have liked a sashimi combo but didn't see one. I would look to try another place before returning as it was nothing special. read more

So disappointed! We made 7:30 birthday reservations for 16 over a week in advance. When we checked in they said it would be about a 30 min wait due to people in front of us.... Ok~ I said, though I did let them know we had 9:30 bowling rest also to make.... They ended up sitting us at 8:40. 1 hour 10 min past reservation!.... A+++ My parents turned me onto this place after they moved to Rocky Pt. While Kaishin & Kazu will always be my favs in-town, FujiYama is simply closer, thus more convenient. It's a busy place w/ the hibachi side of the house, and the sushi bar is open with plenty of seating. They treat us like royalty, and the sushi/sashimi is always delish. They have the biggest & most creative rolls around...and the grilled 'Hamachi rib cage' is a must. Their Sake prices are higher than others but the Sushi/Sashimi is less, so price-wise its a wash. I'm not sure if it was because we were people of color but my husband and I asked politely for a booth and they stated there were none available due to "social distancing". A party of 4 Caucasian people walk in and ask for a booth, a buster immediately went to clean a booth for them and they were sat with no problem. There soup, salad, chicken, and NY strip were really good. The rice was a little over cooked but still good. The place is absolutely beautiful and most of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The waitress wasn't friendly and when she gave me a soda it didn't taste right and she got a little annoyed when I asked her for a new one. Everything was great. Walked in with no reservation and seated immediately. Service was very impressive and quick. We have gone to Benihana many times and with a five year old it is very long from start to finish. Not here. Soup was good, salad dressing was better than Benihana. Big big problems ... 1) server basically took orders brought sushi and left barely saw him after that waiting for refills and more drinks 2) the queen was looking forward to tempura and boys wanted cheesecake because they were closing they didn't even offer just brought bill to all three parties 3) while all three parties still eating and reviewing bill cleaning crew comes with two huge jugs of cleaning liquid and dumps on table and says just need to clean WHILE WE ARE ALL EATING inhaling cleaning fumes ( JUST HORRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL) 4) after we ask for desserts we pay the bill.. the server comes out and says we can not cook the tempura because the chef shut off grill ( MAYBE he should have asked ) then they had to credit the first charge and recharge us a second one minus the tempura ( the manager wanted to give us a $4.25 gift card, my wife said NO WAY WE WILL NOT BE BACK ) thought it would have been much easier to pay the cash refund ...I had to sit there for like 15 minutes while him and chef figured it out ... After I ran all these issues by manager , only thing manager said was sorry I will talk to them... Good and bad. The veggie tempura was super soggy, and the grilled veggies were overcooked... Way too soft. Also, the sauce they use is mediocre at best. Another odd thing... They have redefined a timeless sushi classic... Philadelphia rolls are traditionally made with smoked salmon and cream cheese... Here, they make them with imitation crab and cream cheese. What??? They have a "different" name for Philadelphia rolls for whatever reason. Strange. Decent atmosphere overall. Wish the table grills were open at lunchtime though. Some friends and I had a very nice dinner here. The food was delicious and we were thoroughly entertained by the chef as he prepared our meals in front of us. It was nice to be able to share our experience with the family sitting next to us who were celebrating a birthday. Was in town visiting my grandparents and decided to take them here due to my grandfathers love for Japanese cuisine, let's just say he finished his plate quicker than i did mine! The food was amazing, great portion sizes. I ordered a Volcano Roll to start with and it was just what the doctor ordered, for dinner I went with the chicken and tuna, both beyond delicious. The vegetables and rice were also delicious and the portion sizes were beyond generous!!! To top off the night I ordered a banana split . My grandmother went with steak and scallops and the old man went with steak and shrimp, they both said they enjoyed their dishes as-well. I've been to good old Benihana and I can truly say Fujiyama is my go to for hibachi whenever i come back into town!! read more

My daughter and I went for lunch yesterday and had a fabulous experience. They offer a lunch special which was amazing value and the food was absolutely delicious. My daughter and her 7 teen aged friends went here for a birthday dinner they made reservations for 3 weeks prior. They waited over an hour with the waitresses and manager being very rude and never apologing for the wait. When they were finally seated, the service was terrible. Their salads were forgotten and brought out after the meal. The food was average at best. It was an expensive birthday dinner disaster. I can't help thinking if they had an adult with them they wouldn't have been treated so poorly. I called the manager the next day and his attitude was far from apologetic, he realky didn't seem to care. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he was out of town. This is by far my favorite habachi restaurant in south Florida! Every time I go there I have excellent service and the staff is amazing! I tend to go frequently, and I am never let down!
