Hibachi / sushi / Asian Japanese style hibachi restaurant in Stuart serving decent food and a show on the hibachi side of the house. We've been there a few times now as the kids enjoy it and frankly, you get a lot of food for the money - we have always had plenty to take home. We sit on the hibachi side and the three different hibachi chefs we have had we all fun and get the vibe happening. The kids enjoy the flaming volcano and the tossed food. The waitstaff there are all decent - they'll come around and take food and drink orders then the hibachi guy shows up to get the show started. Overall a solid place with good food and everyone leaves satisfied - so there is that. It can get bumping on the weekends so make reservations if you plant to have more than 2 people. Plenty of parking out front. Give it a shot if in the area. read more

Sushi approved by a toddler. We sat hibachi side as a party of nine for a birthday. Our Chef was beyond interactive. I really enjoyed the way. He interacted with each and every one of us and had us laughing the entire time he was cooking. The steak ended up being very tough for it being cooked medium. I did try somebody's chicken at the table and the chicken was extremely juicy. I do like how you get hibachi rice with your meal and it is not an additional up charge. We made a reservation for 2. Although it was really busy we were seated right away with a larger group. Typically, I'm used to having to wait for a chef to finish up before we get them cooking. This one came right away while we still had our soup and salad. The food was really good and we enjoyed the show. Hi everyone, yesterday I went to Fujiyama for my birthday. I ordered the chicken tempura with white rice and it was delicious and crispy. The portions were generous. Worst service I have ever had. The waiter warned us he was new but I also warned him I had a food allergy and to write it down. Told him it was important and to tell the cook. He got half my meal right. Too bad it was not the part I had already started eating. Had to tell him to go get his manager. He did NOT apologize until he brought the check. read more

I called Fujiyama just now, and he was not concerned about a Yelp review, so here goes: It was my 70th birthday dinner. We both ordered Filet & Lobster at $42. My friend's was $52. Lobster, steak, rice & vegetables all tasted the SAME-was drowned in Garlic Butter Soy or Teriyaki Garlic & also had burnt oil taste. Lobster needs NOTHING so couldn't taste it. Steak was cut so small it couldn't be cooked to order & no taste but sauce & oil. Everything tasted the SAME. read more

Where to begin? 1st, do yourself a favor and check out the health department inspections. 155 complaints in 12 years. Some pretty serious. Stop sales on food that probably some people already ate BEFORE the inspection. Plenty of place to go beside here. I wouldn't risk getting sick. read more

We brought a table full of 16 year olds for dinner. They had a great meal and the chef was interactive and fun! He even sang happy birthday to our birthday guy. We brought one young man who is allergic to all seafood and the restaurant kindly made his food in the kitchen and not at the hibatchi table. I came here for dinner with my family the other night and was attracted to the fact this was a "steakhouse", although, I ended up deciding on a sushi roll. The roll was good but nothing memorable. The service was slow and lacking personality. The ambiance felt like we were in a nightclub, which wasn't conducive to our two small children. I have Celiac Disease, which if you don't know what it is, it is a severe gluten allergy. I came here with my family for Mother's Day, and we called ahead to tell them about our allergies. We walk in and sit down, and then attempted to explain what a gluten allergy was to the server. She had no clue what we were talking about so she grabbed her coworker right behind her. Her coworker knew what gluten free was but did not notate a food allergy to the chef. Once the chef came out, he showed nothing but negligence. He used the garlic butter for everything (which they said wasn't gluten free the last time I came here). He didn't care about cross contamination, throwing my food right on top of soy sauce from the prior meal which isn't gluten free. He didn't scrape the tools or grill after making the fried rice with the garlic butter and non-gf soy sauce. If you have a food allergy, do NOT come to Fujiyama. read more

We love Japanese food. The service was good and the ambiance nice. Our sushi was very good. I had a Rainbow Roll and we had the mixed sushi and sashimi plate. Our drinks were perfect and quickly served. This was Mother's Day and the order was quick although we felt lucky to get a table. I wish people were sitting at the Sushi bar like in California, but it doesn't seem like many places in Florida actually sit at Sushi bars. We would go here again. The prices were reasonable. I see some people suggesting that the service was "cold" but that was not our experience, but it was "Japanese" efficient-like except at the Hibachi Tables which were lively and the people were definitely having fun! read more

1st time visit - Stopped for a 'date night', decided to start with bottle of wine. Should have suspected problems when server did not offer bottle or taste but simply poured 2 full glasses. Both my wife and I felt the bottle was bad her impression was tasted of chemicals and I thought it smelled/tasted of fuel. Told server to take bottle away and he said he'd get the manager. Manager asked what the problem was and we both told him of the taste. His response was 'Well what do you want me to do about it? It's an open bottle and I can't serve it to anyone else, so what do you want me to do about it?" Paid for wine and didn't tell him what he really could do with the bottle. In retrospect the red flags were server pouring full glasses, not presenting bottle for inspection. Any bottle of wine can be bad but not acknowledging that poor quality was a distinct possibility I'm glad we left as I question if there are other quality issues at this resturant. read more

We were in the area and we're looking for a sushi spot. I usually do the picking since I have places bookmarked already but my husband decided to choose today. We were both hungry and it's hard to make a decision at that point. He's a big meat eater (but wanted sushi) so when he saw the "steakhouse" he decided on this place. I hadn't seen any good reviews and after eating here, I know why. They have the option to seat at a habachi table but we decided on a booth since we weren't interested in all that with two small children. It took the server a while to come by and take our orders but of course, it was difficult with the kids. We started with the Vegetable Tempura for our toddler but I ended up eating most of it because he is super picky. I wanted to get a boba tea for him but the server didn't really understand what I was asking when I asked for a non-dairy option, he just told me they have green teas, so we didn't get one. I can't remember the name of the roll off the top of my head that I got but it was one of the cheaper ones because there wasn't much to choose from. I also decided on the Salmon Skin Hand Roll, based off of a previous roll and that was pretty good. The rolls took a while to come out and the service was definitely lacking. My husband wasn't a fan of the ambiance either and said he felt like we were in a dark club lol. I was looking forward to the banana tempura for dessert but somehow they didn't have it... I guess there's a banana shortage. Overall, I can't say we'd be back. Their menu wasn't very impressive and like most places, the prices have increased at least $2-$4 per item. read more

This is a popular place with an excellent hibachi experience. The chefs are engaging and prepare the meals perfectly to customer specifications. We were a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 children). Because of our party size, we made reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere is festive with customer's reactions to their chefs show. I preferred sushi and ordered Chirashi. The fish is very fresh, but felt like an appetizer because of the lack of assorted fish. Portion was correct but only had salmon, tuna, escolar and a white fish. No yellowtail, crab, shrimp, or egg. I think they cater more to the hibachi crowd which is excellent. The fresh sushi did taste wonderful. My husband's Seafood Udon was also delicious. Next time I'll try a different sushi selection other than Chirashi. All in all, a pretty solid Japanese Steakhouse. read more

Diminished food quality and management with bad attitude! August 2024 Food quality has diminished over the years. After more than 200 dinner visits over a few years, each with 4-5 friends, the management still shows little respect to us. I was speechless! The food was so amazing! Everything was fresh and brought in a timely manner. The green tea is STRONG. The sushi rice is seasoned perfectly, as it should be. The fish was some of the freshest I've had in the area. Our server was absolutely lovely, and very attentive. This place was a coin toss for us we (2of us) were hungry and looking for a decent Hibachi place up this way. We came across this place and took a chance. I am happy to report that this wasn't that bad at all! Like seriously we went on a Saturday afternoon and the wait wasn't out the door but the place wasn't empty either. We were a bit Leary when we pulled up because the outside could use some improvements but parking was easy and getting seated was a breeze. Chef came promptly and it was Hibachi time!! Chef was super friendly and was entertaining. We had a great evening mingling with the folks next to us. I'd return and bring the family next time. Food tasted great portions could've been a bit larger but hey I'm not complaining. The price was right too so no complaints there either. The only thing I would ask is that they sweep around the chairs before they seat new customers we had a good amount of food on the floor under our chairs where we were seated. So overall this was a good experience for the first time. I will definitely review again when we bring the family back! read more
