Great staff, amazing sushi, busy but organized where it didn't feel like it, will be back to try the hibachi!

I had never been here before but my sister and her husband invited me to check it out and I'm glad I did, the whole experience was great, the service was very friendly! They got our drinks right away! We split a sushi and sashimi appetizer, and I had sushi as my main course, it was all fresh and tasty! My sister and her husband had hibachi and it was delicious! The surf and turf, all around good time! Can't wait to go back!

Chef Paul was SO AMAZING!!! Food 11/10! Love dinner + a show. Also definitely recommend the NY strip hibachi entree.

Since our first visit we have been back to Fujiyama many times, it is actually now one of our favorite sushi restaurants. We have also tried the hibachi the passed few visits and was very happy with our meals! Definitely 5 stars for the food and service! Still wish there was more curb appeal!

I came here for dinner with my family the other night and was attracted to the fact this was a "steakhouse", although, I ended up deciding on a sushi roll. The roll was good but nothing memorable. The service was slow and lacking personality. The ambiance felt like we were in a nightclub, which wasn't conducive to our two small children. Overall, not a bad spot but also not my go-to spot for sushi. Might be back for the habachi but would definitely try somewhere else for sushi next time I get a craving.

We were in the area and we're looking for a sushi spot. I usually do the picking since I have places bookmarked already but my husband decided to choose today. We were both hungry and it's hard to make a decision at that point. He's a big meat eater (but wanted sushi) so when he saw the "steakhouse" he decided on this place. I hadn't seen any good reviews and after eating here, I know why. They have the option to seat at a habachi table but we decided on a booth since we weren't interested in all that with two small children. It took the server a while to come by and take our orders but of course, it was difficult with the kids. We started with the Vegetable Tempura for our toddler but I ended up eating most of it because he is super picky. I wanted to get a boba tea for him but the server didn't really understand what I was asking when I asked for a non-dairy option, he just told me they have green teas, so we didn't get one. I can't remember the name of the roll off the top of my head that I got but it was one of the cheaper ones because there wasn't much to choose from. I also decided on the Salmon Skin Hand Roll, based off of a previous roll and that was pretty good. The rolls took a while to come out and the service was definitely lacking. My husband wasn't a fan of the ambiance either and said he felt like we were in a dark club lol. I was looking forward to the banana tempura for dessert but somehow they didn't have it... I guess there's a banana shortage. Overall, I can't say we'd be back. Their menu wasn't very impressive and like most places, the prices have increased at least $2-$4 per item.

When is La Grande not so Grande?…read more Been wanting to visit this classic restaurant in historic downtown Stuart since my move to Stuart. Tucked in the old Post Office Arcade building, its partially hidden walkway leading to the restaurant only adds to what lies ahead. As you enter you step into a world that speaks to a time of classic old world elegance. Antiques, elegant draping window coverings and a beautiful fountain at its center, this restaurant brings to mind what a dining experience was like in the nineteenth century. Unfortunately, the service and food sadly do not match the exquisite ambience. SERVICE : The service, or should I say lack of service was evident from our first step in the door. We waited for several minutes before anyone noticed we were standing there waiting. Once noticed, we explained that we had a 7 pm reservation which the hostess of course could not find. She scanned the restaurant (which was empty at the time) and told us she would see if she could find us a table. After several minutes we finally were seated. Another 15 minutes past before someone walked past and asked if we had been taken care of, which of course we had not. He assured us that he would get someone as soon as possible, which added another 10 minutes to our already extended wait. Eventually our "server" showed up. You'll note that I put the word server in quotes because this person was anything but a server. So as not to bore you with specifics, let's just say I have a problem calling someone a "server" who is totally incapable of serving! A person who doesn't understand "medium rare", who misses several ordered sides and charges us for dishes we never received clearly doesn't deserve the term "server". THE FOOD: There were three people in our party. For appetisers, we ordered the Martier Escargot which had a bitter taste because of the burned butter, the Blueberry Brie Crostini, which turned out to be the best dish of the evening was outstanding, and the potato goat cheese puffs were light and delightful. For our entree's, we ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon which was overcooked, dry and tasteless, the New Zealand Lamb Chasseur which was fine except for the missing asparagus (which our server assured us he would get back out and immediately forgot) and finally the 12 oz Prime New York Strip which was cooked well done instead of the medium rare requested. I do need to mention that the garlic risotto was fantastic, creamy and tasty. Unfortunately, we had to enjoy it at home as our server didn't bring it until we were completely done with our meals! As far as desserts go, after our 1 1/2 hour stay, we decided to forego any additional pain and accordingly skipped dessert. Finding our server throughout the night was a challenge of hide and seek and this includes getting our final bill which, as mentioned above, took three trips to get right! The Ambiance: This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant that cries for matching service and a creative efficient kitchen that produces dishes that represent their grand names. THE BOTTOM LINE: As with all my reviews, we come to what I like to call the "customer so what". Would I come back? The answer... as a walk through to see what elegant dining looked like in the 19th century... absolutely! Perhaps you could sit at the bar and enjoy a Manhattan but, to dine? The offerings, as mentioned, were a mixed bag but unless you're into the pain of some of the worst service you'll ever experience, absolutely not!

Only open Thursday through Sunday, and seemingly only a single seating - arrive between 6 and 7, 9pm close. Service was excellent, and dietary restrictions (vegetarian) were accommodated with advance notice. This would be a great spot for an anniversary dinner or other special occasion. Everything my family ordered was excellent, from the dense, moist loaf of walnut sourdough to the wahoo entree. Each entree is served on a thick wooden cutting board with an artful array of garnishes for maximal flavor and textures. My vegetarian board was "chefs choice" (you get what you get, no requests or options possible) and it was excellent! It basically had all the fun garnishes and veg components of the other entrees plus whole roasted sweet potato. It was so nice that the veggie board wasn't an afterthought - it had the same level of intention and detail as the regular menu items.

Honestly, when we first arrived for our reservation, I wasn't even sure we were in the right place. But the moment you step through the front door, everything changes. Inside, it becomes something far more special. It feels as though you're not just dining out, but being welcomed into a family gathering. The warmth is immediate, genuine, and rare. The staff treated us as if they had known us our whole lives, and even surprised us with a personalized menu crafted just for our occasion; a gesture that spoke volumes. We've dined at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, surrounded by lavish interiors and extravagant presentations. Yet none have captured the unique spirit we found here. 11 Maple Street offers something deeper: authenticity, heart, and a reminder of why we cook and why we gather around food in the first place. Each dish felt prepared with true soul, the kind of intention many chefs, including ourselves, forget in the pursuit of perfection and prestige. Last night, we found something we didn't realize we were missing until this experience brought it back to us. A genuinely unforgettable place. I'm beginning to tear up while I write this, because this treatment among strangers has become rare in this world, this place has truly touched my heart.

A Meal So Good Heaven Might Ask About It…read more Some dinners fill you up. Some dinners impress you. And then there are dinners like the one we had at Chef's Table in Stuart--the kind of meal that feels like it was designed by someone who understands that food is more than nourishment... it's memory. We went to celebrate my son's birthday, and before the first bite even arrived, the experience had already begun. The menus were printed with "Happy Birthday" and his name, a small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire evening. It felt personal, intentional--like the night had been prepared just for him. And then the food arrived. I ordered the Bolognese, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the kind of dish you quietly pause for after the first bite. Rich, layered, perfectly balanced--every strand of pasta coated in a sauce that tasted like it had been simmering since the Renaissance. Comforting but refined. Rustic but elegant. It was the sort of plate where conversation stops for a moment because everyone is too busy appreciating what's happening. Across the table, the beef Wellington was a masterpiece. Perfectly pink at the center, wrapped in golden pastry that shattered delicately with each cut, surrounded by a sauce so good it deserved its own applause. The entire meal felt like one of those rare experiences where craft, hospitality, and atmosphere align perfectly. The lighting, the pacing of the courses, the warmth of the service--it all made the night feel like something special was unfolding. If someone told me this would be my last meal on Earth, I wouldn't complain. In fact, I'd probably smile knowing that when I got to the gates, the angels might lean over and ask: "Wait... was it really as good as they say?" And I'd tell them the truth. Yes. It absolutely was. Steakhouse Peter's…read moreis one of those places that has been on my radar for a while now, so we finally had the opportunity to give them a try. There are a lot of reviews out there as this place has been in business a long time. You have to be doing something right in my opinion and well, they are good and they are meh - depends on your expectations I suppose. The story goes that Peter used to work at Peter Lugers in NYC - the holy grail of US Steakhouses. Does working at the best steakhouse in the US qualify you in any way to run a steakhouse? Not sure. But there were definitely things at Peter's that were spot-on as compared to Lugers. The place is set off the beaten path in Jensen Beach. Sort of a tropical vibe looking building and the decor inside is somewhat dated and hard to describe - beachy / Ocktoberfest is maybe the best way to put it. The staff consisted of three ladies the night we were there (a Saturday) and like that Meatloaf song goes, two our of three ain't bad. Two were just super friendly and personable - the third one just looked miserable. They all hit our table at one point or another during the evening and #3 just was not there mentally. she wasn't rude or anything - just blah. We got started with a nice glass of wine - the wine list is decent - not overly pretentious and there is something there for every price point. The menu is steakhouse standard with a few German dishes tossed in there - fine by me. Those are very complimentary cuisines. We started off with the escargot and the "Peter's special salad". Escargot came out swimming in a garlic sauce on top of a flaky pastry - a new spin on an old classic and it had enough garlic to lower you blood pressure like 50 points - outstanding. Salad was large and was enough for the both of us to work with. I went with the Porterhouse for two (med-rare), with sauteed mushrooms and Peter's hash browns. Steak was cooked perfectly and presentation was wonderful. The Hash browns were also a hit but the sauteed mushrooms lacked any flavor- I expected something a lot more sauteed looking - deep, dark in color and these were just meh. The meat is the star here and these steaks definitely hit the mark in terms of flavor and tenderness. All in all a very good night out. Prices were steakhouse specific and they offer valet parking. The crowd is older and the one they they did not have was a free standing bar- that is sort of a missed opportunity in my opinion, and a massive crowd generator in steakhouses in the north. Definitely give it shot if looking or a really good steak - those are exceedingly hard to come by on the Treasure coast. Valet parking in their lot, or park in downtown Jensen and stroll over.

I'm so sad to write this review. The food use to be AMAZING. I'm not sure if they got new cooks or what, the food was bland, the service was horrible. This used to be our go to place for anniversary and birthday celebrations. We won't ever be back. The mushrooms had to have been from a can with a sprinkle of parsley. The Brussels were way over cooked with a sprinkle of bacon. When I called after dinner to talk to Peter, to inform him of our experience, the hostess told me they were too busy and to call back. Enjoy your current diners, as we'll never be back.

I was expecting a bigger variety of fresh fish since they're a prime seafood spot right on the water, but what they did offer was solid and tasty. The shrimp dishes were especially delicious and hit the spot. My only reason for not providing a full 5 stars is the service. It wasn't rude or unfriendly at all, the staff were nice. But it was slow, like painfully slow at times. It took forever just for someone to come to the table and take our order, and then the food took a while to come out too. It wasn't extremely busy, so it felt like the servers and kitchen could have moved a little more efficiently. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and the location, though be aware they do add a service charge to the bill. Overall, despite the minor service hiccups, I would definitely recommend Kyle G's Prime Seafood for a great meal with an amazing oceanfront vibe.
