2025 review: they still got it. Had 3 of their special rolls: rose, love story, twister - all were absolutely delicious. Was visiting the area for a few days and decided to see if this place was still here (after more than 10 years). Sure enough, place still here and the inside hasn't changed...that's a good thing. Not only did it bring back memories, the sushi did not lose its quality. My wife and I have moved around quite a bit during that time, and I have to say, it f this place was elsewhere (miami, Seattle, Oakland"d, etc) it would be popping. In conclusion, all you Mayport/Jacksonville residents, don't squander this gem of a place. I'll admit, this place use to be our go-to, but we didn't realize how good this place was until we moved away. Glad it survived the COVID years, glad to had another opportunity to have some sushi here after so long. 2015: 1 word...ok Maybe 2, "The Best"

Only one there but lots of ordering out.

I got there around 6 only two other tables besides me but the atmosphere was great. I loved the environment. The food was great I highly recommend the hibachi there it was perfect. The service was great and attentive. I will come again.

Pretty good sushi - a little pricey overall - they receive a lot of takeout orders and the service inside lacks because of this - sushi was good and worth the wait - inside decoration could do with a refresh! 3.5/5

Miso soup and and another soup it had some type of mushroom crunch in it?

This Fuji Sushi is a small restaurant without the flaming grills. It's a corner building and easily missed in this big plaza. Take the time to look, it's toward Monument. Side across from Ross. I was feeling sushi but not a lot of rice so I started with a seaweed salad and green tea. Got my veggies in for the day too. The salad was seasoned perfect, I like tangy sweet but not sweet tangy, it was tangy sweet. The Ichiban sushi roll was good, I think the sauce made it better. I'm partial to raw eel and salmon normally. The plating was pretty too. I will definitely come back if I'm on this side of the Dames point.

Very clean inside. Small and very quiet. The waitress made us feel really rushed to order. She did get our drinks and food out fast, and checked on us often. The food was fresh and really delicious.

A BITE OF A LIFETIME!! I just went to Fuji Sushi with a groups of friends and it was an amazing experience! The second I took that bite of sushi, my life was instantly changed. I purchased the Florida Roll and it was DELICIOUS. The perfect combination of shrimp and spicy mayo. This roll has the perfect crunch and it was delectable. If you are thinking about coming to this place, YOU HAVE TO GO. And the service is amazing. They were quick and attentive!!! My life has been changed because of Fuji Sushi and so should yours.

Fuji Sushi (in Regency) is the my favorite. Its a small place with not a lot of tables. There are some 2 tops, 4 tops, and a few seats at the sushi bar. We are always greeted with a friendly hello..welcome when we enter. Because there aren't many tables it can cause a wait if you get there when it is busy. Tonight we ordered Salmon Maki, Spicy Crab Maki, and the following sushi pieces: salmon, crab stick, escolar, mackerel, shrimp. I also order extra ginger because theirs is just so fresh, sweet and spicy...I love it! Their escolar and salmon are the best! No fishy taste at all. They were buttery and smooth. The crab and shrimp were sweet and delicious. Our 1 year old loved the crab. He also loved the kids fried rice. You get a large portion for a kids meal. My husband had the mackerel and enjoyed it. At the end they brought out a complimentary dessert of pineapple. Which was beautifully cut and so sweet and refreshing! If your in the Regency area you should check them out dine in or take out. Their take out is always super busy!

Food was awesome! Very tasty, not too salty. Food was fresh and hot, came for lunch with 2 other coworkers and we all left happy and full. Sodas are canned not fountain so not sure about refills...looks like you'll just order another can. Clear soup was hot and tasty! Staff were super friendly. Definitely enjoyed the hibachi scallops and beautiful sushi display. See pictures below. My waitress was super sweet and respectful, ask for Sunny (that's her name).

I'm new to Jacksonville Florida, originally from Southern California. My wife and I had our favorite sushi in California we used to go to. Here in Jacksonville we've been to a few places and then found Fuji Sushi. As soon as we entered we were greeted and seated. Customer service was great. We ordered and food was fresh and and well plated. The taste immediately tasted clean and fresh and very good. Highly recommended!!!

I love the earthy window shades.

For years, I've never truly paid attention to the shops in the Commerce Center Drive shopping plaza via the Southside Connector. One recent evening, as I drove past this restaurant's sign within same shopping plaza; and not even hours later stumbled upon a notification of a Yelper's check-in to the same exact restaurant; and finally a few reviews in, I couldn't resist adding this FUJI Sushi to my bookmarks. Today, since I was within the area, I decided to randomly pull from my bookmark of nearby places for lunch and sushi dined (so she dined) at Fuji Sushi. All I truly wanted was sushi for lunch. Celine, one of the amazing waitresses, graciously greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. She asked if I was dining in; picking up; or placing a to go order. Even though, I was placing a to go order, they treated me as if I was dining in and offered me a seat as I waited for my Crazy Rolls. The wait time was less than 15 minutes or just enough time for me to capture an image of their cool bamboo bush window shades. Even though my crazy rolls tasted phenomenal; the nori (seaweed) was a bit chewy. I've never experienced chewy nori before but, I later found out that nori becomes chewy from the moisture of the rice or ingredients within the roll itself if the rolls aren't eaten as soon as they are made. Lesson learned: Eating nori is like the NOW part of Now or Laters (the candy.) Eat the nori, asap! Or LATER it will not be the same. LOL! I can't wait to visit again. I am looking forward to tasting their gyozas.

    Woops I already ate one.

If you just want great sushi, make this the next leg of your quest and read no further. I have no significant complaints in that department. However, this udon.... While pho is everywhere in this country now, and even ramen is enacting a successful invasion, here I am disappointed by udon yet again. Well, it's not all bad. These noodles do have a high quality mouth feel. The tempura was also somewhat better than the last place where I ordered udon *cough* Volcano *cough*. On the other hand, several of the other ingredients are less than ideal. The chicken was like a couple flavorless erasers. In udon, I prefer either a soft boiled egg or egg that spreads through the broth like an egg drop soup. This was pretty much hard boiled. Where's the kamaboko? And, yet again, the bland broth and overpowering broccoli. Just why? Light does NOT mean bland. And broccoli does NOT belong in udon. That's not just my preference. That's basic food logic. Ask me if my favorite udon and soba joints in Okinawa use broccoli in a bland broth. Go ahead. Broccoli has a bitter taste with an unmistakable texture. A lot of people don't like it, but it is amazing for cutting through carbs and fat as a contrast. This is why it is great in dishes like chicken 'alfredo' and broccoli beef. That doesn't apply to udon because you have a light broth with light ingredients. Instead, try using some green onion or spinach or bok choy or, I don't know, you can even use some romaine/green leaf lettuce if you want. Almost any other green leafy vegetable would be better than broccoli here.

I've been going here for a while and I will say this is one of my favorite sushi places in town. It's not too busy ever and it's really chill and oddly kind of calming but in a good way. It's not exquisite but a lot of the dishes are similar to others but the ambience is mostly why I come her Unfortunately this one time I went the food came out about 30mins after I ordered, the appetizer maybe around 20mins? It's never been like this before so I still very much enjoy this place and I'll continue coming back for sure.

In which he turned around with a menu and sat it on a table. He said absolutely nothing to me when doing this. The only thing that this water asked was for my drink order, if I was ready to order food and if I wanted to place anymore orders because the kitchen was closing. He did not crack a smile or try to be kind at all. Was definitely a poor customer service experience, and I was really looking forward to visiting the spot for the first time. While the customer service was terrible, the food was pretty good. I ordered a few dim sum appetizers and was pleasantly surprised by the taste and how fulfilling these small appetizers. In addition, it was such a large selection and all priced very fairly. The food alone would make me return but hopefully the service the next time will be a lot better.

Now, I may know why: There was no soup in them. They were soupless dumplings. I also ordered some spare ribs. I thought I ordered some blackbean sauce ones, but maybe I either mis-read the menu or they brought the wrong ones, because these were more like black pepper ribs. Regardless, they were decent, and tender. Even the connective tissue around the bones wasn't too tough. One dish I wouldn't get again was the Rice noodles with bbq pork. It was very bland. I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.

I was used to the greatness of Detroit area Chinese food like Chin Tiki, China Jade and so on. After searching around online and trying just about everywhere over the past year, I finally found Pagoda online and thought we'd try it. We didn't know this going in, but the restaurant is divided into two sections. One is a "regular" Chinese restaurant and the other is the tiki bar. The staff was SO nice and very cool. They kept apologizing that the tiki part was booked up for the night. We ate dinner on the regular side, then they were all excited to tell us they could fit us in the tiki side after dinner. They even took our leftovers and put them in the fridge while we went over to the tiki side for drinks! All the way around, this is EXACTLY the place I've been searching for. We will be back ASAP.

I ordered the zombie cocktail to start the night and it sure lived up to its name and you don't need 2 for sure. I freely than ordered off the menu and enjoyed a spread layed before me. The first were the deep fried pork dumplings. A bit of sweet ness in your first bite and before I knew it I ate the whole thing..very good. I followed with the fried chicken potstickers. These were amazing!. Cantonese chicken wings were next but that was my "put it in a box to go" item. I did also enjoy a sweet n sour chicken that was so good, not overtaken by veggies but just enough bell peppers and pineapple.Very Tasty.. This place is a true experience and the service was great! Enjoy it with friends or family and check off the box on your places to go in Jax when you visit The Tiki Room..
