Wow. I never thought I'd be such a fan of a grocery store, but this is an amazing store. It's well-lit, well-laid-out, has the nicest staff in the history of chain stores, and has pretty much everything I want or need from a grocery store (except that it's not a Trader Joe's, but what can you do?). Seriously...great, fresh produce...well-stocked shelves, huge selection of everything you want, great prices and even better sales (I bought a Thanksgiving turkey there for like $7 once--BEFORE Thanksgiving!). They also have an excellent pharmacy area, and even furniture and accessories, including area rugs. And grills and outdoor furniture! read more

I like Fry's the most out of the stores in the area because their produce seems to be the best. However you really have to watch the expiration dates here, I have purchased expired milk twice ( I know, the expiration date is something you should check before you buy, but with a 15 month old I can't always study milk) and most of the bagged salads expire the next day. Not sure if this is a management issue or an AZ thing, but selling 4 day old expired milk is not cool. It's milk for a baby too, so that makes it even worse, right? Cute little babies deserve fresh milk! This is America. So, check your dates, Fry's, and tell management that's not the area to save money in. Then, I shall love you. read more

I agree with the first review... This is the best market in the area. I did see some organic or free range beef when I was there today. What I couldn't find was aged beef although the butcher pointed out that the premium steaks they had were at least 12 to 15 days old. They really have a good variety here... and don't forget the sushi station they have. You won't find that at any of the other markets in the area. Their fried chicken is the best in town also. It is a quick dinner for a small price. They have low carb items that other markets in the area do not carry. This is my market of choice since moving to AZ. read more

I know this is a Fry's signature but it certainly doesn't feel that way. I have been to two other Signature Fry's one in scottsdale and one in paradise valley. This one is not as clean or organized as the other two. I only ran in here to pick up milk on the way home from work. Unless it's a necessity, I will not be returning to this location. read more

I was shopping here last night when I saw/heard this poor courtesy clerk being yelled at by some horrible lady behind the customer service counter. I believe she is an Assistant Manager. Her scolding the employee made me so uncomfortable that I wanted to step in but I restrained myself. She was so unprofessional. Show some respect for your employees and don't yell at them in front of the store. A good manager would do this behind closed doors. I don't want to shop at a store where employees aren't valued and respected. read more

This fry's store is one of the nicest stores in the north valley. I love that they have a sushi bar, wine bar, fresh produce and really great meat department. I have been shopping at this frys since they have open and I really enjoy the enviroment and the management staff is always accomadating if their is a mistake in pricing. They have also made shopping quick with new apps that allow you to scan and go. You can scan items and use a bar code at the check out to avoid scanning again. Love it! read more

Always a great store, large selection of everything including organic and specialty items. This review is mainly because of the online pickup option and service. This is my first time using this option and wow!! Super easy to use online shopping tool and understandable pickup dates. The experience once in the parking lot was as easy as sitting in your car! The loaders literally hustle to and from the store and take great care loading your groceries. Highly recommend this service to anybody and kudos to Makayla for assisting with my order today! Love this ANTHEM Fry's Signature Marketplace. They sell a wide variety of fresh produce, useful when eating much raw greens and being a Vegetarian ; ) Also, there is Shelved, Refrigerated and Frozen Natural Foods which can be found if you ask an employee or do some aisle browsing. I find, when new to an area, or a store, it actually does help going up and down each aisle viewing as much as possible. Sometimes the store will rearrange their merchandise yet this Fry's is where I do most of my shopping! Downside Parking Lot: Dislike- when crowded/rush hour or when it seems to rain, it's very difficult to find a spot since lot parking is angled and many smaller stores surround the parking area. Plus Customers: The variety of shoppers always amaze me and I spend hours shopping because I've been chatting with people! Very Friendly and Diverse. read more

So, for the last year or so, I've stopped going to Fry's because their prices has gone higher than Safeway/Albertsons. However, they do have great sales now and then. So, I saw there was a 25% discount on King Crablegs. So, I had to go to get some. I got there, and saw there was no King Crablegs, but something they called King Crablegs. It looked like the smaller snow crablegs, but a bit beefier. I asked about it and they said that they stopped buying the really big ones, which is normal King, because they weren't selling well, so they have these that that now call King. I will never shop there again. It's false advertising that they carry "King" and still charge the same price. Costco or Safeway have the real deal! BYE FRY'S read more

They get 2 stars because everyone besides the deli are very friendly the store is super clean and I love the option with grocery pick up.... that being said the deli with the acception of Michael who is very sweet. Are the rudest group of people I have ever had to deal with, I don't even use grocery pick up anymore because they don't look at my notes on how to cut my meat and even when I'm there I'm met with such extreme attitude i genuinely don't want to go back. The only reason I do is because they have boars head cheese and cold cuts. Even the bakery when I have asked for specialty cakes like here's a picture can you make this, the gentleman said we can make what pictures we have . I can show Safeway anything and even at short notice they are polite and happy to help, so to avoid giving money to frys I shop at Walmart for everything except for meats.I get meat and my bakery items from Safeway and my cold cuts at frys. I have brought this to the managers attention numerous times and she always apologizes and 3 years nothing has changed read more

There are only 2 markets in town so the competition isn't fierce but this is my favorite one. It's right around the corner from my house which gives them a huge advantage. Besides that, they have good produce, better than the other market, and generally has 99% of the things I look for. My recommendations would be to change the recipe for the in-store French bread. The whole Kroger Brand changed the recipe about 2 years ago and it's terrible. Please change it back. Second, I really love the bigger bath and body selection at the other store. One star rating for the click-list. Grape selection was pathetic, not the first time we have experienced poor fruit and vegetable selection. Stevie Wonder could do a better job picking fruit. When I contacted customer service I got the same person that picked my rotten grapes. She claimed they have no record of my purchase IT IS ORDERED AND PAID FOR ONLINE! They charge $5 bucks for the service and can't get it right, if they can't get it right then don't charge for the service. And yes, I fully understand if they can't get it right, THEN DONT USE THE SERVICE,, we won't be using the service OR Fry's anymore. read more

It's chill, Lauren is engaging and educated on the wine they're serving, and enthusiastic in a low key way that makes you want to know more about what you're drinking. Love this Frys....have shopped here for a decade. That said, I used to come here because they ALWAYS had baggers. Not so much any more. The last three times I have shopped here I commented to the checker and all three acknowledged this and said they just don't staff them like they used to. My checker tonight said "having baggers can make or break a store....it's a shame". Come on frys. Get it together. Do not order delivery. They outsource through Instacart and have no control over it. My Instacart shopper skipped 1/3 of the order and substituted half of the items for his own personal shopping. Items were substituted for things that had nothing to do with one another. I received a fraction of the groceries. I was never contacted about substitutes by the Instacart shopper. It took me one call to the store to have them send me to Instacart. I had 3 calls with Instacart followed by 9 more to Kroger customer support over the course of 2 weeks. Fry's enabled theft from my debit card and took very little responsibility and did little to no investigation. One Kroger/Fry's customer service rep treated me as though I was trying to scam them. She had to call Instacart and promised to follow up later that day with me. She never did. All in all, I was scammed out of $67 and change. I was able to zero out the tip immediately and I was refunded the remainder 2 weeks later with an expectation that it would take 7-10 days to process. In the big picture, the amount is minor. However, based on the lack of follow through, the lack of security for shoppers financial info and the high likelihood that this will happen again as Kroger and Instacart have done nothing to prevent it, I will be shopping in person at a different grocery store. read more

I love this Fry's! It is by far one of the best marketplace stores in the Phoenix area. They don't have gas, but they have a Tully's cafe, a sushi counter, and a large stock of furniture and patio items. It is always very neat. Never crazy busy in there and the employees are pretty friendly. read more

Fry's continues to sell rotten potatoes. It doesn't matter that they are Idaho Russets, they are filled with rot. When they redid the store, I expected them to up their game. In my most recent purchase, not one potato was decent. People like inexpensive but we want value for our money. No one I know wants to eat rotten food. read more

Enjoy our weekly shopping trips here. My husband loves to cruise the meat dept. while I love the produce! Since the remodel, things are still a might hectic, but everyone is super nice and helpful. The new, if she is 'new', she introduced herself as new, deli cook is AMAZING. They take things from the produce section and make wonderful recipes! The kale salad with watermelon radishes that most people don't know what do with, with this tarragon dressing, out of this world! And fish tacos, and salmon with crab! The pharmacy is horrible...The two teen queens that work there are beyond rude and Wayne Newton the pharmacist gives off a vibe of I hate this job. I called Fry;s pharmacy this morning at 9;10 am to make sure my med's would be ready for pickup today,,,I was told they would be ready at 1:30 pm...so i go there and guess what...not ready. This store has the best staff. I'm a personal shopper and love coming here. When shopping for a customer, sometimes they'll ask for something that I'm not familiar with and the staff is always so great about helping me track it down. The butcher and delivery counter people are lovely, friendly and helpful. Also, a special shout-out to the self checkout 'cashiers' they are always friendly, helpful and on top of checkout errors and they scan heavy items so you don't have to lift them. Poor customer service, call to verify a product in stock and employee Nancy was not helpful and very rude. I had to ask for a manager and no manager would pick up. I was eventually told the manger was on a conference call and then the gentleman hung up the phone. read more

Meat counter in the deli is horrible and unprofessional. We have an Albertsons right by our house but drive a little further because Fry's is nicer and offers better quality items than Albertsons. We have tried to get chicken at the deli counter several times. There are kids working the counter who are unprofessional and seem like they are bothered by having to help you. There is a big sign right on the counter that says they guarantee they have fresh chicken. They never have ANY baked chicken at all. When you ask the worker if there will be any more they say no and could care less. read more

Ok, I thought you people were actually listening to the customers boy was I wrong. I have been asking your store to start carrying Boars Head ButterKase cheese. About 4 weeks ago I saw it in the cheese case at the deli. I made a comment about it and thanked them for getting it. In the past I have been told by the people in the deli that if I want it carried I need to contact boars head. I thought this was strange because Fry's is Boars Head customer and I am Fry's customer why should I have to go to YOUR suppliers to request anything? Last 2 weeks the Butterkase has been gone you served me some substandard cheese that you called butterkase but it isn't. I asked again at the deli and was told the same thing contact Boars Head. Well if I have to contact Boars Head and other suppliers of yours why the Heel should I come in your store at all I can just buy direct. Way to go on serving the customer! read more

Love this grocery store! Clean and well organized. I can find pretty much whatever I need or want whether organic or regular products. This is the best grocery store in Anthem. It is very large, and clean. It has a very large area of produce, including a rather nice selection of organic produce. There is also a Starbucks inside. This is surely the largest grocery store in anthem and it always seems to be busy. I think this is among the better Fry's that I have visited and we have lived in Arizona for nearly 50 years. read more
